Thank you for this video! Nostalgia was hitting me pretty hard for some reason and out of nowhere I remembered I had one of these when I was a child. It was a gift from my dad and it was very special to me. I spent hours looking at it and playing with it. When we moved to the States we had to leave it behind and I have no idea what happened to it. I’m a first time mom now and I would love for my daughter to treasure something like this. Hearing the music play made me feel like a child again. Thank you!
@@HavocSun Great thank you. It says on it AD 6 VOLTS but I can only see AD/DC ones online. Do you think it would be safe to try a AD/DC as I can't find the AD alone? thank you.
@@Cavapoo10 the definition is DC or AC. One is direct current & the other is alternating current. They should never be mixed. If it says AC, you must only use a AC transformer. Normally I would have my Christmas display setup already but I'm going into surgery in a few days. I did not set anything up this year. It Normally would have be very easy to tell what transformer you need, as I don't recall. I do remember i had a few Mr. Christmas pieces that were strictly AC transformers. If your piece says AC, make sure you match it with a AC transformer. Using a DC transformer will destroy the motor.
Hi! I don’t know if you’ll see this since it’s an older video. I came across your channel looking for information about the Mr. Christmas Holiday Around the Carousel- I recently got one in a lot at auction. I just took it out to test it. I honestly don’t think it’s even every been opened- original tissue paper over it and even the cord was still wrapped up. I plugged it in to test it and the lights & music come on and the horses move up and down. Do you have any idea what it’s resale value would be or the best place to try to sell it? Thank you!
I see them on Ebay between $80 & $100. During the holidays it can go higher. If it's in mint condition you could get the higher end of that scale. Maybe even more.
Havoc Sun thanks for the info! I got it in an auction lot of multiple boxes of Christmas stuff for $50- so I guess it was a pretty good deal! There were lots of vintage lightbulbs, glass ornaments, candle holders, etc- still have to go through it all. I bought it for the old fashioned window lights.

That’s pretty lovely!
Thank you
I think it's about time to start doing videos of mr christmas items again.
I have lost the transformer to my 1997 one which is the same as yours. What can I buy as a replacement please. Thank you and great video.
Let me check, I will get back to you.

@@HavocSun Thank you so much for your help. I wish you good health! Sending you the best wishes for surgery! x
I bought a Mr, Christmas off of eBay for a friend for Christmas. It sticks as it goes around, could you possibly guide me how to lube it?
It's not so much that it needs oil. Sometimes the track moves just enough to cause it to stick. I think I will do a video explaining how it works.

Can you please do a video of every single mr Christmas you have playing all its songs?
What a great idea! Coming soon..
@@HavocSun Do you have the bear brass band yet?
@@thetoycollectorofseville6428 still looking
I inherited the biggest one!
Stacia Bowers Which one? I wanna see!
I would love to see that video of it as well. Let us know if you film it.
How much are these Mr Christmas Carousels?
It's hard to say, they can go for as high as $300. Depends on the model you have & the condition it's in.
Have you consider making a video on how to open a repair one?
I think I will, thanks for the idea.
I need one fixed
I just bought one of of a saler and I love it. it worked for 20 minutes
to repair one takes a lot of fine tune work. Its not easy. I may do one with a complete break down & repair soon.
Your carousel is different
Yes I looked at your video, it does seem a little different. I love your Grand Fathers Clock collection. Great little RUclips channel you have there!
