One of the last recordings I have of my late wife was Christmas Eve 2019, this song was playing on tv and my wife’s voice called out to our daughter from our bedroom to tell her she had a present for her. Not just a Christmas song to me, it’s something I listen to almost every day and love it. Love to everyone that has an empty place in their hearts this Christmas.

This was my wife's and my favorite carol. We saw the TSO's Christmas concert three years in a row. Well...she passed this year, but I still have our memories but can't make it through this without crying. I miss her.
One of my wife’s favs too. I lost her 6 years ago to cancer. My condolences to you. My hope and prayer is that she knew, and you know, the God in Heaven, that created each of us, && His Son, Jesus Christ, who was & is, the promised Messiah and Savior of mankind. If you don’t, just ask him to reveal himself, and then find a good Bible believing church. Meanwhile, hang in there, find others who have lost their spouse ( empathetic friends ), and don’t ignore your grief. Crying is Gods gift to us, allowing us to process out our grief, pain, and loss. Please forgive me for this long reply! I just deeply understand your pain. Music is also a gift. Absorb the beauty of it deeply. And I will pray that you will still have a Merry Christmas!

This was on the radio the last time I saw my father alive. Christmas...It was night time, and snowing hard. A street lamp lit up his car warming up. Something told me to hug him twice before we headed home that night. He died three weeks later. I always have to pull over when driving late November .....when it comes into rotation on the airwaves- Can't see thru my tears to drive. This happened twenty years ago , but still hits me hard every year. Yet, I love this song. It is Beautiful. Strange how a song can mean one thing to one person, and something polar opposite for another.

My Mom is still doing well at 81 years old.

My mother would spend Christmas with me and whenever we would drive around I would have the radio on. She loved this Christmas version of Pachebel's Canon. She passed away in 2017. I cry every time I hear this. I miss her so much.

You're comment is so cute. Cannon in D was written to be performed strictly instrumentally. There were no words written by the composer. Any words added have been made up through the years.
So...God love ya, there is very little "REAL" about this version.
That being said, this is a lovely and enjoyable interpretation of the Cannon in D.

Last year my grandpa whom I was close to past away just before Christmas. I spent almost every Christmas with him in my 35 years. It was especially hard losing him right before Christmas when Christmas reminds me so much of him. As I was driving around delivering Christmas gifts the day he passed away I was trying my best to hold back tears. This song came on and now it reminds me of him. ❤ Yesterday was his first birthday not here. Miss you grandpa.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm also remembering my grandfather who just passed away in October as I listen to this song. It makes me think of my childhood when everything was so carefree, and all my grandparents were still alive (the one who just passed away was my last living grandparent) and we'd often visit them for Christmas.

I first knowingly heard Canon in D in 2011 and TSO Christmas Canon in 2021, but I first heard of TSO in 2008 from "Wizards in Winter" 😁 pleasant surprise to hear this.
I think it's established itself in my top 10 Christmas songs - probably 6th or 7th, about the same level as Little Drummer Boy by Boney M. I'll put a playlist on my channel called "my top 10 Christmas songs" if you're interested.
