The biggest flex the developers did was establishing trust with the player. You have to jump 2x from increasing heights before this moment. It sets the whole tone for the game. Trust, in what theyve crafted, and more importantly, trust in yourself.
I remember when I got to the part where you had to glide on the wing for the first time, thinking “ok, this game has something, but there’s *no* way this thing actually flies.” The goosebumps I got from sliding off that island and actually making it to the next platform so smoothly was surreal. This game is just so good at winking and nodding at you into doing the craziest things before glitches even come into play.
This scene is an absolute work of art. I don't even understand how Nintendo conjured up so much emotion from a dude skydiving. My heart stopped when I got here. I would have cried if my whole family wasn't watching me play. What a great moment in gaming.
I love how during the title screen scene you see the dragon in the same picture... after getting all the tears makes you understand why.... Nintendo you fucking genious!
I saw the accelerate thing at the bottom of the screen when I first played, but I had a feeling they designed it to be better if you didn’t, so I just fell in normally. The music is so perfect when you don’t accelerate
This moment made me feel like a kid again playing games in my basement, the entire game does that but this moment right off the top was absolutely amazing.
The genius of those last two notes is something few notice. They were times so that either the first note played when you hit the water if you didn’t dive, or it played when you resurfaced. Perfection.
The composer outdid herself with this game. It takes talent in the Zelda franchise to be able to be a new composer for 2 games and be absolutely mind-blowing especially in a series that is often oriented around music
PointCrow and Symbalily had the best reactions in that order, you can see they are fans. I’m not a big pointcrow fan, but his reaction just proved why he’s like the biggest Zelda streamer. Superfan with super appreciation, the others tried to be funny and make content, Symbalily (never seen her before) just appreciated what she saw
Bruh seriously that moment when people are in awe appreciating the beauty and some assholes just tryna be smartass making jokes and ruining the moment.
Hands down one of, if not the best cinematic intro in gaming. And the "feels" it gives when the piano notes hit....Everyone knew right then, this game was going to be fucking epic (and it was!).
One of the best title screens ever. Was waiting to play this game for years and got super hyped after the jump. Epic game of an epic franchise with an epic intro.

14:23 How casually he sheets the sword while free-falling
This was so enjoyable reliving the first view. I legit teared up the first time I jumped and the music swelled. Zelda has been my jam since the first one came out when I was twelve. First game I ever preordered. Everything about this game is emotionally overwhelming for me. I agree with Roamer, we don't deserve this. It's just too good.
A tiny detail that probably no one noticed because it only happens once and is very specific: In the intro, before Link jumps into the water, if he is holding the decayed master sword and doesn't jump directly using “A” he will forcibly enter the diving animation and slowly put it away on his back. This detail can be seen in this moment: 14:23
So many sequals try to do something completely different just to "innovate." I'm eternally grateful that this game fully committed to being BotW, but perfected.
I blind played this game only having played BotW. Was amazed at the scope. Reminds me when I first played OoT not knowing you'd transform into Adult Link.
It’s kind of funny how you can tell a lot of these people accidentally press ZR first instead of R, because Link tries to pull out a bow he doesn’t have
As someone who's been a fan of Roamer since he had ~4k subs, it makes me super happy to see him put in a compilation with the likes of PointCrow and Vinesauce. :D
These make me cry because i will never be able to experience it for the first time again 😢
Same here.
When you go back and realize the opening frame where the logo appears has Link, The Light Dragon and the Temple of Time. It’s all right there…
I love how the music starts off as the same piano notes as BOTW, but evolves into something different
Ikr, its literally saying in our faces that totk is a direct sequel to botw and i love it!
it makes me so sad that so many people just literally cannot listen to it at all because their attention spans are that of a 1-year-old
Everyone excitedly pointing out the dragon before they know... The bliss of ignorance.
I'm realizing the light dragon is flying over and watching Link return 😢
Making the light dragon the first thing you see, is absolute gaming masterpiece.
noticing this broke me 😭 it was waiting…

The fact that they telegraphed that last piano hit to link coming up out of the water... it's the little details that make this game shine

Is that THE dragon? Hard to tell from far away.
@@Matisyahuwu it is
I never noticed that small detail that is so interesting 😮
Love how if you don't accelerate your fall, you'll sync up with the ending of the music as you hit the water. (mostly)
Yeah I think it's built to somewhat sync up regardless of how much/little you accelerate which is a fun detail
@@kezuta1499 Why did you reply saying the same thing of the comment you're replying to?
@cr1197 because if you don't accelerate it ends pretty perfect with Link hitting the water
And if you do accelerate the whole way, you typically surface as the music ends.

14:22 I haven’t seen that animation of Link putting away the sword! That’s interesting

Reaction to the final tears quest too

It's Nintendo, they will find a way. I have no doubts.

i just realized the show the light dragon in the intro! thats so cool
And it looks like the shot is set up to guarantee the light dragon is always fully on screen when the title drops.
goated title sequences both games
BotW's title sequence is so good and I understand why it's so beloved, but the music and title card reveal in TotK surpass it for me. :D

This is as epic as Ghost of Tsushima 's intro
This intro absolutely tops the existing of the Shrine of Resurrection intro in BOTW.
The amount of people who pressed zr instead of r to accelerate is baffling.
😂😂😂
Kinda emotion moment when I experienced this like "Finally..."
That dragon...
Chills, freaking chills !!
The music is so damn good man

I would love to see the compilation of the last Dragon tear.
…the music in this game is master class in video gaming. It hits you in the feels, all of them.
I am kinda surprised so many people didn't try to climb around the island before the jump
Yo si lo hice, además todos ellos van sin el ropaje de arriba, ahora todos al inicio para encontrarlo 😂

I still get goosebumps from this moment. From the music, the sound, the camera work. Everything is excellente!
Nintendo knew exactly what they were doing lol
14:28 he puts his sword back if it’s out I didn’t know that
I kept doing this myself so I’m glad someone put together a comp
The only reason I didn’t cry is because I was calling a friend while playing this and had already cried beating BotW ten minutes earlier
