I know it's said here more than once, but this is the closest that Ganondorf ever gets to the original form of Demise. And first thing he does is spread armies of monsters across Hyrule, just for kicks. This really is the most intense Ganondorf we've seen thus far...!
And of course, special mention goes to Rauru's outright fury in this scene, quivering ears and all. If not for Zelda speaking up, he probably would have been overwhelmed trying blindly to fight Ganondorf.
(One more note: the secret stone didn't really go into his forehead, but turned into his new diadem - similar to what the TP Ganondorf wore.)

Wait, I never even realized until now that the Forgotten Temple map room shows you the order with the stone slabs along the wall. I only paid attention to the map itself. And, I mean, who is going to go all the way to Lurelin Village (for Sonia's death) and then back to Hebra (for the Birth of the Demon King) unless they're specifically going out of their way to see the scenes in order?

Would love to see reactions to the scene right before this chronologically. The one where Sonia gets stabbed. It’s inevitable but still feels so heartbreaking after seeing Zelda and her thinking for a split second they may have won, only to realise no, the future hasn’t changed. The suffering remains.
