To all those saying this woman "doesn't have a clue" - isn't that why she's calling in to this program??? She's trying to learn. She started off by saying she's been out of pocket because of high anxiety and depression. She then turned to God and is on a new path. Now she wants to learn how to do better for her and her husband so she called into Dave Ramsey. People have to start somewhere!! If you know more than her, count yourself blessed. And if you continue to curl your lip at her - perhaps take a closer look at yourself.

You're right you can't just be cured from anxiety anymore than you can be cured from depression or any other form of mental illness. now there are meds and therapy that can help you deal with your mental illness, but they don't cure you. I'm still yet to meet one person who is totally cured from a mental illness and if you run across someone that says they are then they didn't suffer from a mental illness and probably just had a series of mental set backs instead. mental set backs and mental illness are two totally different things.

Or she can work with the water district and make sure everyone has clean water to drink and safe water for the fishes to swim in.
Or go out in the woods and be a part of the fish and wildlife department and make sure none of the big bad corporations are hurting the poor fish.

Volvo Twoseries wholeheartedly agree with that statement. When I graduated, I spent a year trying to find work (companies telling me I had no experience) and ended up with my 1st job paying me $15/hr. So yeah, I’m living proof. Big companies didn’t want to give me a chance and same for most smaller companies. Been lurking through most comments with Dave’s videos and see a complete lack of empathy or understanding that there are “some” people that don’t end up like everyone else here. I should’ve been making $60K right out of school. I’m happy for everyone here that’s had it better than me, but I think it’s unfair to harp on others (and myself) for not being on the same level as everyone else. We’re trying to better ourselves and continue to learn. The husband’s in a similar position that I was in 5 years ago.
