+Nathan Saxon yea the interiors across all the chrysler cars drastically improved around 2014, although the 2012 interior isn't too bad if you compare it to the previous generation chargers. All plastic with a fugly ass steering wheel.

+munoz4456 I understand if you like the old one better, but how in the world do you think the new one looks like a dart ? The taillight is the only similar thing to any part of the dart.
+Shreddah Thats how I felt. But the car looks a WHOLE lot different in person. What sold me was the 8-speed. Its so much faster and smoother then the old outdated 5-speed.
@Mike Brown That's your opinion. You can have your opinion. It don't mean nothing to me. The 2015 Charger is a big drop off for looks over the 2011-2014.
@Mike Brown I had a chance to get a 2015 Dodge Charger RT. It's a good car but when the 2011 Dodge Charger RT came out and I first seen it, I was in love. They look so cool.
Just a quick note: The 2014 Blacktop Chargers also come with paddle shifters and a sport mode. Great video Kyle, glad to see you still really enjoy your charger!
I got a 2013 Charger R/T Max, I love it so much, such a great car. and I still rather prefer the 2011-2014 look over the 2015, unless it's a Scat or a Hellcat, the styling on those really amp it up
+Dukiny Gaming Well the Hellcat sort of stole it's spotlight haha and with the introduction of the Scat Pack which has the 392 HEMI for a lower price, you can see why people would gravitate toward that. The SRT is still a good value though and has some advantages over the Scat Pack.
+mhtube01 yeah. We own a charger identical to Kyle's. Our next car will be an charger rt scat pack probably. But it's like people don't know that the srt 392 exists. And it's known as the srt and the srt hellcat is known just as the "hellcat". People need to do more research
5.1 seconds is actually quite impressive for a heavy sedan that's only got the 5.7 NA. As much as I almost hate to say it, I'm really excited to see the turbo 3.6 pentastar enter in for 2017/2018. How the car looks at this moment it would suit a awd turbo platform. Maybe shaze it up with some slight body differences and it's gonna be awesome.
I have to agree with Kyle on the interior touches. I like the 2011-14 chrome better and how the gages and knobs have chrome on them. It adds a bit of class. However, I do like the new steering wheel better. I currently own a 2011 Rt max and love it. It's been a great car with only a few minor things. The only 15 + charger I would consider is a Scat Pack or SRT but to be honest the exhaust which sounds fantastic on the outside is a bit intrusive in the interior. I'm not sure if this would get old after awhile.
Ahh man with the 2012 - 2014 Charger taillights they hit the nail on the head.. It just looks so awesome especially at night. I would definetely prefer a 2014 SRT8. As for the 2015 model, that front end reminds me of the classic Chargers, which makes me think that they couldve and could bring back the folding headlights if they go one step further, it would be like the 1969 Charger.
Kyle, I'd seriously consider picking up a Diablo intune handheld. I ran the 93 octane tune on my 13 charger RT before I traded it in on my scat pack. It gave a nice bump in power (dyno's 354rwhp and 375rwhp or 400 crank hp/430lb ft). Drivability remained as stock but you could adjust throttle response to your liking which was nice. Also increased my MPG's by two on the highway. I ran a mopar cold air intake and flowmaster american thunder as well. Seriously noticeable difference in power on both the 87 and 93 maps!
I have a 2014 Blacktop Max and it's the best car I've ever owned as well. Man I'm running 12.8 in the Quarter. Granted I'm running 12.9 Consecutively but my quickest was 12.8. On 4 Bolt-Ons I'm beating 2015 Mustang GT's and I'm 446hp at the crank. I'm LOVING Mine!!! The 14 R/T's come with Paddle shifters if you option it a certain way back in 12 Paddle Shifters were still new to the Charger Lineup and only for the top end models. As for Comparison, PERSONALLY I ADORE my Charger, but I Like the new look better. With the LED'S and the Rounded out tail lights the new ones look more modern and fresh. The Dart is a Handsome looking Compact Car, so I don't think looking like the Dart is a bad thing at ALL. The Interior and that TRANSMISSION is Easily the best upgrade for 15-16. If I'm 13.6 bone stock with a 5speed then I know I'm 13.0 with an 8speed ZF Transmission. That 8speed is a BEAST. If I'm 12.8 with Bolt-ons, then I know with an 8speed with the same configuration I'm 12.5 seconds roughly. So Off the top I'd take a new R/T if I had to. The R/T Premium comes with LED Fogs which is VERY IMPORTANT to me, LED Running Lights, and HID's. Better package than ours!! But Come June/July I'M TRADING My 14 for a Plum Crazy SCATPACK 392!! The Scatpack is a MONSTER! 12.0 BONE STOCK on Street Tires!!! Plus I just saw a Scatpack Charger Whoop the NEW CTS-V! Put a Half a Car Length on a Professional Driver in a more Powerful car! I got the Video on FB. BEAST OF A CAR. Its a Must have!!
I owned your exact car, but in white. Loved it. Loved the wheels! I now own a 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum, and love it just as much. However I think your car looks much better than the 2015 version of the Charger. Cant stand the black paint on the wheels, and the 'no matter what color your get' black grill. 2011-2014 looked amazing. I still get jealous when I see my neighbor driving through with a blue 2014 RT and those awesome chrome 20" wheels (ya know, remember all those ridiculous deals early 2014 to unload them?).
Great video Kyle, there is something about the Charger I like and I think you have explained it well, I think Chrysler finally got things right with this platform.
I'm not really into American cars but the value is just insane with these Chargers and 300Cs. Solid powertrains, built on an MB chassis and overall ease of maintenance makes these cars tempting. I'd take a Charger in white with black rims and tinted windows.
I also have a 2012 Charger, but with the V6 and 8-speed, and it is my favorite car I have had yet. I still haven't hit the 40,000 mark, but getting close.
Eric Schell I see it’s been 3 years since your post. I hope you still have your ‘12 Charger and it is doing you well. I have a ‘13 SXT Plus, same engine and transmission as you. Love my car but at 80k on my 4th transmission and it’s starting to act up. Hate the 8 speed!!
My only concern in buying one is the rear seat room for long trips or adults. This is why I'm also considering a Ram 1500 Crew Cab. But the chargers are about 5-7k cheaper for a used one.
I prefer the newer styling, not many cars get better as they get redesigned, but I think the new chargers have been getting progressively better since '06.
Dude the fucking 2012 beats the 2015 in a landslide. Just look at that sexy red and black interior!! MY GOD. The exterior is a goddamn beauty. I'd take the 2012 over the 2015.
I liked the older one more for a long time, but I have to say the newer ones grow on you and now I prefer them. I used to think they werent as aggressive looking but I dont know now, after getting used to them I think they are.
You’re the only car reviewer that’s in my area! I live in Lewisville, really enjoy the Triad area. Hope to see you in person driving around one day, maybe even at Hanes Mall!
Excellent comparison review Kyle! I'm impressed with how your 2012 Charger RT Max has held up well over the years that you've owned it. I'll also admit that I love the refreshed version of the Charger, but found it really strange that the heated cup holders were discontinued because I found it to be one of the most useful features in today's world. Happy New Year and keep up the great work as I look forward to seeing what else you have in store for this year! - Michael
Kyle, your Charger has aged extremely well! Honestly I like it better than the 2015, the new one just has too many 'dart-like' cues in non-SRT models. Have you thought about upgrading your front turn signals to LED to match the rear? I did the brake/tail/signal bulbs in my Taurus and I couldn't be happier, LOL.
@Saabkyle04 I have a 2016 plum crazy sxt rallye edition. I get a lot of compliments on the color. But I love the sport mode and paddle shifters. Your videos really helped me figured out my Uconnect with nav. Also the Rallye edition is rated at 300hp unlike the regular sxt at 292hp. But love your videos and i'm a first time commenter. Keep up the good work.
Mr X-ray I’ve trying to pull the trigger on a 2019 charger rt blacktop plum crazy as a daily driver, will the color ever get old? What about resale value? Is it ok for a man to drive a purple car? Will girls complement my car? Lol 😂 stupid questions I know but I want perspective from someone who has actually owned a plum crazy charger
Good idea to do a comparison. If you are planning to do some more in the future, I'd like to see some between cars that compete against each other, e.g. 3-series vs C-Class, Mustang vs Camaro or the new SLC vs the new TT.
I have the 2012 5.7 V8 and I love this car and honestly I like the 2012 the best but wished it had the interior of the 15 . I’m getting ready to do some engine mods to get that scat pack speed. The dude driving the charger should of went to manual mode,,,(novice driver).
I think I am gonna get a 15. I wanted a 15 mustang but it's just crazy that you can get this car for cheaper. can't wait to see what it's like supercharged
I know the chimes are the same but to me the one in the 2012 sounds better. If you could the 2012 body but get the 2015's transmission it would be one amazing car
My goal is to get either a 2014 R/T or 392. I've got a 2009 SXT (Well not really. I found an anomaly AWD SE which never was manufactured and it has the 3.5L V6. The SE never officially had that, so I have no idea what model Charger I have. I know I love it though) right now and while I love it, I long for something... Meaner. It's still a sexy beast though.
You put this video out at a PERFECT time. I'm having a hard time choosing between the 2014 or 2015 R/T. I really like the 2015 interior, but the 2014 Body is Legendary. Red is also my favorite color. What would you suggest Kyle?
+Lejai1 It's all personal preference. If I was buying one for the first time, I'd probably just go for the new one because of the 8 speed automatic and updated tech, but since I already have mine I'll just stick with it :)
Kyle, more videos like this would me nice. Here`s what i`m thinking about LIST Comparisons Quarter mile testing If possible, dyno runs on some cars If possible track testing Thanks Newbies don`t scroll down SPOILER ALERT: BEST AUTOMOTIVE CHANNEL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):):):):D
Hey Kyle I saw you in your charger in Miami a little over a year ago. I saw the Saab Kyle stickers on your car but still didn't think it was you until I saw you behind the steering wheel.
Man i remeber whan you bought it and made the original video. Man i even remember when you had the lexus and you were showing us on how the pedal recall worked
Nice comparison, the new car has some great styling like the grill or the steering wheel. The 8-speed auto would be something to have. But I wouldnt sell the old one just for that. The 2012 model has aged welll.
I drove a 2012 R/T at work and it was an "ok" car. I felt it was a bit cheaply made, the seats were a little hard and the visibility was not very good. I do have to say the car did have some grunt which was nice. I personally wouldn't want one since I like to be more connected to the driving and wouldn't want a bigger sedan. Glad you like yours. Keep the good videos coming! :D
When testing rear seats I would like to see "relaxed mode" and not "I'm talking with front passenger mode". This means using the headrest. BTW same with middle seat and also seatbelts - are they comfy or maybe have bad positioning.
+Juliet Zulu It's very hard for me to do comparisons like this as you need people to provide multiple vehicles at once. I'd like to do this more often, but I'm limited based on the opportunities I have :/
Great drag race at the end. I bet Kyle picked the car with more horsepower so he would win ;-). Also, I left a comment in your Infiniti QX80 video you did about something in one of your playlists.
The new Charger looks modern but also more generic. The older models have a bigger stance and aren't so rounded out, making it look meaner. The Dart also somewhat ruined the tail of the new Charger for me.
I currently have a 2015 RT and I honestly like the body style for the Scat pack and SRT. Does anyone know where I can purchase the body kits for the SRT to upgrade the look of my RT?
use ebay, Google it just stay away from the aftermarket stuff, you'll have to get them shaved and modified before painting,by the end it'll all cost the same
Hey Kyle you properly won't read this but I want to say I have enjoyed your videos since late 2012 and it is great to see your reviews get better and better if I could suggest any car for you to review it would be a noble m600 and if I could ask you a question it would be to put these cars in order being 5 your least fave a 1 being your fave BMW M4 Lexus RCF Alfa Romeo 4C Aston Martin V12 Vantage Ferrari F430 Thank you for making great vids and keep up the great work 👍
Hey bro, at 40,000 miles. How many problems have you had so far??. People say, Dodge Charges are trash. But I really like the way they look and I'm thinking of buying one. You as an owner, what do you say???, is it a reliable car???. I have a 2003 Toyota Camry and it has 160,000 miles and it still runs like new, and I also have a 2015 Toyota Camry, with 20,000 miles on it, like brand new car, no problems at all. But I really like the Dodge Chargers!!!!!
FruitablyPlayz YT Ok bro, thanks for replying back. I ended up buying a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 4x4, hopefully it would be reliable and good SUV. I got a better deal than the Dodge Charger, I really liked the Dodge Charger but I have 2 kids and my wife, so we wanted also a family and an off road car to go out and explore some places......
If only they came with a manual, that would be my next car in a heart beat. And if it came with a manual and a rear hatch and you could fold the rear seats down, I would do terrible things to get that car.
+Dukiny Gaming you're exactly right. So many idiots eat in their car, throw their trash on the seat, and never do the simple thing of wiping down the interior with a damp cloth and complain about their car being dirty.
What about the reliability of the vehicle so far? I do know a few people who have complained about some of the newer dodge products (dodge dart especially) as some of them seem to be plagued with electrical issues and poorly made switchgear.
+JJ Smith I didn't highlight that much because I haven't had any major issues worth mentioning. There was some sort of sensor I had to get replaced under warranty once, I believe it was for the side curtain air bags or something, but that's it. I explained things in depth through the video, but overall, I've had no issues with quality, reliability or anything like that.
+Saabkyle04 Fair enough. Sometimes it could just be a lemon but who knows. Since the charger has been around for a while and is more of a high end product maybe it might not be fair comparing to a dart which is more targeted at folks on a budget. thanks for the reply!
Having a nice car like that paid off is really nice! That's a good thing! I like the video thanks for sharing... I wonder why you didn't compare the Chevrolet SS to the Charger V8's
Great point! I forgot about that model! Either way, great videos! Each time you make a video it's always executed well! I've been watching you for some years now! Great job Kyle! 👍
Hey Kyle, I LOVE your detailed walkarounds! The 2016 Chevy Malibu has been making its way to dealerships recently and I was wondering if you could could do a video on one as soon as your local dealership has one. Preferably the Premier (top trim level). Im a member of a Malibu club on facebook with 3,000 members and id love to post your video on our page. Thanks!
The only thing that would have made that ending better is if your friend said, "MONICA! NOOOO!!!" as you passed him, to quote the first Fast and the Furious film. Lol
WOW ... Great video comparison. I love the front end of your car over the new model. Your front end is "Muscular". great car. Thanks for the review. Do you have a twitter account so I can post a link?
hey kyle do you use a mic to record the exhaust sound? If you do can you tell me which one you use and which one you prefer? because I want to record some cool car video's. but my GoPro doesn't sound that good
This guy talks like a super well written essay.
The only problem I have with the 2012 charger is definitley that interior. 2015 is such an improvement in that area.
It looks essentially exactly the same?
+Nathan Saxon yea the interiors across all the chrysler cars drastically improved around 2014, although the 2012 interior isn't too bad if you compare it to the previous generation chargers. All plastic with a fugly ass steering wheel.

Yeah but on the outside the 2012 is way better looking then the 2015.

To be honest, I prefer the look of the old one much more.
You aren't alone. The 2015 looks a lot like the Dodge Dart.
+munoz4456 I don't know what a Dart looks like but judging by this it must look amazing.
+Shreddah FUCKING AGREED 100%.

As much as I love these Chargers, I'd still wish to own a 1970 Charger more.
Yeah me too, I would dukes of hazard that thing everyday!!!

Drewster327 the base rts in 2019 now look more aggressive
I've got a 2011 Mopar 11 Dodge Charger (#499 of 1500). I love the older body style better then the 2015
Enjoyed your comparison very much. It helped me to decide to buy my first Dodge, a new Charger R/T Road and Track in B5 Blue. It's a blast to drive.

Chris: 2012 Dodge Charger R/T Max
Kyle you need to keep your old one it look a lot better! The new charger look to much like a Dart..

The 2012 Is My Fav :)
I really wanted a challenger but with it being 2 doors its gonna raise my insurance so i might have to go with the charger
Good video Kyle... Good work like always brother!
Good idea to do a comparison. If you are planning to do some more in the future, I'd like to see some between cars that compete against each other, e.g. 3-series vs C-Class, Mustang vs Camaro or the new SLC vs the new TT.
the new scat pack chargers are soo cool.
Thx Kyle
That is one Beast like Charger Also the sound are awesome
Kyle, more videos like this would me nice.
Here`s what i`m thinking about
LIST
Comparisons
Quarter mile testing
If possible, dyno runs on some cars
If possible track testing
Thanks
Newbies don`t scroll down
SPOILER ALERT: BEST AUTOMOTIVE CHANNEL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):):):):D
Oops, forgot Off-Road testing if possible
Thanks!
Hey Kyle I saw you in your charger in Miami a little over a year ago. I saw the Saab Kyle stickers on your car but still didn't think it was you until I saw you behind the steering wheel.
+Wordlife1103 Wow, that's awesome!!! That's the trip that I filmed the Huayra on :D
What very well may be the ultimate family sedan for the people who can't afford a Quattroporte 😂 beautiful car Kyle! Great job on the video yet again
Lol the Quattroporte very well may be the ultimate family sedan for those that can't let go of 4 doors or can't afford a Ferrari ff 😂
+General Zod 😂
Man i remeber whan you bought it and made the original video. Man i even remember when you had the lexus and you were showing us on how the pedal recall worked
Nice comparison, the new car has some great styling like the grill or the steering wheel. The 8-speed auto would be something to have. But I wouldnt sell the old one just for that. The 2012 model has aged welll.
+Rockport1911 Agreed!
it's so hard to not shop a charger u get a lot for your money
Finally! Now please do a 300, but thanks
I like the new interior and the old exterior
When testing rear seats I would like to see "relaxed mode" and not "I'm talking with front passenger mode". This means using the headrest. BTW same with middle seat and also seatbelts - are they comfy or maybe have bad positioning.
finally after a long period a comparison....
+Juliet Zulu It's very hard for me to do comparisons like this as you need people to provide multiple vehicles at once. I'd like to do this more often, but I'm limited based on the opportunities I have :/
+Saabkyle04 why?
+Saabkyle04 oh right sure thing... keep up what you done mate
Can you please provide a link for the t-bar shifter? I'm thinking of getting one for my brothers challenger
+Jose Andrade Just search them on ebay, they're easy to find :) They're also available at dealers!
i like the 2012 model!
Excellent work sir!!
+Daytona*Beach Thank you!
,love it looks great. 2014 and below r the best
Idk if i missed it or not, but is there a difference between the models throttle responses/ fun driving factor?
Great drag race at the end. I bet Kyle picked the car with more horsepower so he would win ;-). Also, I left a comment in your Infiniti QX80 video you did about something in one of your playlists.
The new Charger looks modern but also more generic. The older models have a bigger stance and aren't so rounded out, making it look meaner. The Dart also somewhat ruined the tail of the new Charger for me.
im currently using Hankook v12 ventus evo and i love them. better than OEM goodyear eagle f1 supercar
Man I want a Charger so bad!
PLANB you get one yet?
Quincy D. Newgate lol
You can find one at your local Walmart not funny cringe okay
I currently have a 2015 RT and I honestly like the body style for the Scat pack and SRT. Does anyone know where I can purchase the body kits for the SRT to upgrade the look of my RT?
use ebay, Google it just stay away from the aftermarket stuff, you'll have to get them shaved and modified before painting,by the end it'll all cost the same
Hey Kyle, if you come across a 2016 Viper ACR.... Please do a vid.....thanks
Hey Kyle you properly won't read this but I want to say I have enjoyed your videos since late 2012 and it is great to see your reviews get better and better if I could suggest any car for you to review it would be a noble m600 and if I could ask you a question it would be to put these cars in order being 5 your least fave a 1 being your fave
BMW M4
Lexus RCF
Alfa Romeo 4C
Aston Martin V12 Vantage
Ferrari F430
Thank you for making great vids and keep up the great work 👍
Idk about properly reading it because he did go to college. But....
He probably will never read you comment
My opinion the 12 looks better and meaner. The new one, its alright...
Riding to Sade, you know good music.
I'm not an owner of one, but the Charger is one of the most reliable FCA cars today. As long as it's maintained properly, you're good to go!
Nice! My neighbour has a Grand Cherokee they're reliable too
FruitablyPlayz YT Thanks for the info bro. Much appreciated!!!!
Sergio Ayon I have a 1996 geo prizm and it’s got 180K miles and still runs. Toyotas are undefeated lol
If only they came with a manual, that would be my next car in a heart beat. And if it came with a manual and a rear hatch and you could fold the rear seats down, I would do terrible things to get that car.
When the Jag passed the Charger, I was saying Ja Rule's line from the first Fast and the Furious movie, "Nooooo, Monicaaaaaa!" lol
+rpo305 A lot of people were as well hahaha :D
it's the finest car in the World!
how do you keep your car so clean?
I keep my car that clean. Keep trash out, wash it once a week, and keep it up during the week.
He cleaned it before the video and you just don't be an idiot and put junk all over it
+Dukiny Gaming you're exactly right.
+JJ Smith Anytime man!
Having a nice car like that paid off is really nice! That's a good thing! I like the video thanks for sharing... I wonder why you didn't compare the Chevrolet SS to the Charger V8's
+Tekky B Nerdy Nay Thanks man! I did that in my review of the SS 6-spd last summer. It competes more with the 6.4 models than it does with the 5.7.
Great point! I forgot about that model! Either way, great videos! Each time you make a video it's always executed well! I've been watching you for some years now! Great job Kyle! 👍
+Tekky B Nerdy Nay I really appreciate that man, have a great evening!!
You're welcome! You have a great evening as well!

Thanks!
+Tyler Kawall That sounds good, thanks man!! I imagine Chevrolet will send one over in the near future, hopefully it's sooner rather than later!
awesome!
The only thing that would have made that ending better is if your friend said, "MONICA! NOOOO!!!" as you passed him, to quote the first Fast and the Furious film. Lol
+CrazyIvan1337 Someone else said that too, that would have been so hilarious!!
COOL 2012 vs 2015 Dodge Charger RT: 40,000 Mile In-Depth Comparison Review and Road Test
Being such a car guy, Kyle, I did not expect you to own an automatic.
Not a lot of American vehicles come with a manual transmission these days which I think is stupid.
Lucas Aldrich Yeah, that's true...sad. People should have the option. Plus, its cheaper.
The charger doesn't come in manual, sadly.
Why didn't you do a drag race between the 2012 and the 2015? I wanted to see how much a difference the 8 speed made.
2012-2014 is an american muscle car💪🌪🔥...
2015-2020 is ladies muscle sedan car💋👠💝. 😁
So what are the huge differences here? I'm looking at a 2013 R/T daytona blue right now but i really want the new body.
+Carlos Rodriguez 8 speed auto is the biggest next to styling.
Thanks
I hope you get the change of reviewing one of the classic Chargers one day! :) Would be very interesting with the new video ''scheme'' you got!
Love the license plate, by the way, when your charger does encounter snow, does it handle well? Great video.
Great video.
They should make a newer version of the 2 door Charger from the late 60s!
I keep asking Dodge to remake the 1969 style
Get a challenger
Hi. Could you please post the ETs while at the drag strip? You may have mentioned the times earlier in the video idk. But that Jag was amazing!
15-16. way better. those that dont agree must have an old one! even tho that red leather in the 12' is nice.
WOW ... Great video comparison. I love the front end of your car over the new model. Your front end is "Muscular". great car. Thanks for the review. Do you have a twitter account so I can post a link?
4:20 Hi Saabkyle04 Sade Singer in the radio you like? me too! Excellent video.
hey kyle do you use a mic to record the exhaust sound? If you do can you tell me which one you use and which one you prefer?
because I want to record some cool car video's. but my GoPro doesn't sound that good
