I was able to renew by mail, qualifying with the questionnaire. Mailed in valid passport (expires in May) with money order. It took about 30 days to get my expedited passport . Cvs photo studio takes 2" square photos for $15. fortunate to get the new model too, other comments say it's random.
@@paulag3532 it took us almost 8weeks. They gave the passport two days before our international trip. Don't call the hot line number. Go to your nearest passport agency to talk to them directly.

The pandemic excuse is getting old. This is another example of how the government can't do anything right and people are always the ones getting screwed.

Send it in early! I sent mine to be expedited. Called to get an appointment. I was too early. I received it 10 days before my trip.

May I ask how much longer? I expediated and now still in process going on week ten. Mt trip luckily is in 7 weeks from today
We expedited ours and it took more than the expedited dates! We were on hold for 8hrs to do follow ups.
