I told your sister that not all heifers born to a bull are not freemartins. We have had twins, I always kept the heifer just in case and raised her until she either came into heat or had the vet check.
But Neline can do what she's doing if the Boss man tells her to do it as the Boss man is always Correct as Neline will listen to her Dad as it's a Commandment Exodus 20:12 Deuteronomy 5:16 as He was here before Neline and Jan and Mirjam were Born Listen to your Dad is in the 10 Commandments so doing it Pleases God 2 Corinthians 5:8-9 so it should be done Amen.

I'm glad you showed the before and after videos of the hoof treatment. People in town don't have any idea of how much a dairy farmer does to make his (her) animals comfortable and healthy.....GREAT videos !

Curious to know if the Behaviour Analytics system works for newborn calfs ( other than the geolocation feature)…or if they need to reach a certain age before the system is able to provide health analytics. Also, how old are the newborns before you add the ear tag?
You tumbling out of a wheelbarrow is different than a newborn calf. It is so cruel to separate a calf from its mother at birth. All in the name of money and business.
Have you heard that some farmers are adding corn oil to their herd’s feed ration? It supposedly fills out the calves a bit quicker, but the heifers, cows, and steers also benefit from it in other ways, too. Maybe your nutritionist can fill you in on the pros and cons the benefit of corn oil would be for your herd. It will be interesting to see if we hear more about this in your herd down the line 😊🌽

Jan, this is very interesting. Thank you for the video! The software for the cows is very good. The real time tracking of activity to determine problems and hormone change, they are interesting. Seeing new calves is interesting. Also, the cow with hairy hoof wort, it's progress was interesting to see, along with the hoof treatment metal rack.
Jan, u carried 2 bales of straw, u dad or mom carried 1 bale. Remember, they are getting up there, so have them use one of the 2 wheelboros, save their backs, joints, tell them slack up alittle.
But Those tags can fall out right? And for example if a cow go,s to market can you take the tag out and reuse it on a heifer or do you have to buy a new tag every time Greetings from the Netherlands
If the tag dosnt get caught in the slats or removed with the slurry, you can always find your way back to where they dropped it. But keeping a few extras would probably be a good idea.

Heifers won't be tagged, until they're moved into the special needs barn, (A few weeks before having their first calf) at about 2 years old.

Their waterers don't freeze, so it must stay above 0ºC all winter. Despite them having ventilation fans, and opening up the big doors twice a day.
