    You touched on something that those of us that aren't farmers might find interesting. The social dynamics of the herd, I bet most folks have no idea how that works.

    Yes, that was a beautiful Sunset; but I also think that at the 4:50 mark, the Sunrise was a gorgeous sign of a great day. Your comment at 15:50 about the ladies working for you and the profits of the farm is good reason for your hard work. That is an excellent & POSITIVE attitude and a good indication of your Work Dilligence & Ethic . Thanks for sharing

    The services supplied to this Dairy such as Dennis and the Equipment Manufacture local Reps, is SO important to a successful operation. It sure could be a lot worse and troublesome. The most important pieces of equipment are their operators, and those that faithfully maintain that equipment. Loved the 'kitty' time on this video...they're also very important to help control the unwanted critters at this Dairy. Please be safe and hopefully a Happy New Year in 2024.

    I totally agree with grouping all pre 3 week calvers in 1 group, same ration. I kept fresh dried off cows, in 1 group, hfrs in another then pulled out cows 3 wks before calving and any hfrs uddering up all into the same grp. They get to interact and adjust, some better than others, before entering the main herd after calving. Kiss- Keep It Simple Stupid, always worth thinking about lol

    I think somebody has developed a feasible tire face removal machine, I have noted a lot of silage piles with just the sidewall rings thrown up on them to hold plastic down, it eliminates the water build up inside the tires and of course that means no breeding ground for mosquitoes either.

    if you are using net wrap why not get a proper double bale spear set up, for days when you are moving lots of bales, pay for itself in a few days with less broken bales and it would be way faster.

    Would you guys consider a self propelled feed wagon. It could potentially save in wasted feed because of how it Shaves off the bunker silage so there is less spoiled feed.

    • @svfproductions9520
      @svfproductions9520 6 месяцев назад +2

      Theres no such thing as wasted feed as the Steers in the corrals need feed as well and usually they don't feed lots of feed to the Cows inside and outside as well usually it's Only enough for all the Cows to be fed their feed as when they feed a little extra to the Cows inside the Barn the left overs doesn't go in the rubbish it goes to the steers in the corrals outside No feed goes to waste it's used for the steers in the corrals.

    • @viktoragle7409
      @viktoragle7409 6 месяцев назад

      @@svfproductions9520 Better quality feed might be a better phrasing. Could potentially gain more milk. And at the same time, it's only one machine. You can no need for a wheel loader to feed anymore
