Why do i get such enjoyment out of cows jumping in fresh straw??? Baffles me but just makes me smile same as when they get put in pasture 1st time in spring and they leap and bound in the green grass. From someone who cant stand milk it amazes me, but do love me beef😂😂😂😂😂

When you were beginning to operate the skid steer... it made a high-pitched beep... I thought why the heck my pre pass, weigh station bypass, was going off... 😂 almost had a heart attack 😅😂

    Nice vid!! Very interesting!
I'm sure you prolly already figured this out, but if you add a board on top of the cement wall, it will keep the manure away from the Juno path. Also, another line of boards at the bottom would keep the straw from the alleyway as well. I'd use old boards from some demo work around the farm.
I guess your sister is going into the goat business now! Congrats!

That straw pack is steaming nicely. The pee on the straw will really get it heating up nicely. Could you manage to deliver some to my veggie plot? LOL Particularly good for growing zucchini (courgettes) and squashes. I am about 30 miles south, whoops I forgot the 4000 miles East.
Our Wyoming Life has a great device for loading a round bale onto a device which then spreads it out. YT video Our First Feeding of the Cows this Winter 26.15.
I loved watching the cows doing Zoomies on the new clean straw pack. They are amazingly agile considering their big udders bouncing around. Do the cows mind having their calves taken away?

Do you see that steam coming from the straw pack? That's microbial activity breaking down organic material. If that straw pack, solid manure, and hemp straw was all in wind rows being turned it make some great compost. Plus save time and money spreading it.

Hairy wart is what we call digital dermititis here in the UK. Treated the same, topical abs but usually in the form of blue anti b spray. Trouble with wrapping when you have pumps etc is them coming off and wrapping around slurry pump propellers. On straw, less of an issue if come off on the straw bedding. Nothing worse than the pump blocking sat am when staff are off etc.
