- I’ve had a blast on RUclips over the years, but I’m taking a break from long form content on here for the time being. I’m still posting regularly on Instagram and TikTok for short form but long form content is on a pause for now. We’ll see what the future holds for me on RUclips.

I had people downvoting videos of my cat. My CAT. Who does that? I abandoned social media in general years ago because I got so tired of worrying what opinion of mine was going to get dunked on. I’m sorry you have to deal with all the trolls and the pain they leave in their wake. You need to do what’s right for you your family and health. I’d say do some of the short forms here but that’s because I don’t use TikTok and rarely use instagram. Take care from someone who enjoys your content and excitement you share when finding treasures.
I'm super sorry to hear about the negativity you're dealing with! I'll just say that I personally love your videos, and you've been one of my favorite youtubers since I discovered you a year or so ago. Always happy to find someone who loves Bruce Campbell as much as I do. lol I will absolutely miss seeing new videos from you if you do decide to give up RUclips. It's a damn shame that trolls have to ruin something great for those of us who just want to have a good time and discuss movies and other things we love.

As long as you are having fun and enjoying the videos that you make. That is all that matters. When it comes to trolls let's face it they have no lives and are actually a fan. Otherwise they would not be clicking on your videos. Regardless it's a view and all thumbs up/down only helps your algorithm. I say as long as you are enjoying it and having fun keep doing them and f the haters. Just ignore, block/delete and repeat. They will go away. Don't let then be the reason to quit doing what you love. If anything take a break eventually the itch to create will come back.
I always look for you on youtube I hope you could still put out a few videos a month. I have been collecting stuff to send you for my next shipment.

Yes, short videos on RUclips like your TikTok ones would be fine, but if you need to take a break until next year (after the holidays and into January or February), be good to yourself.

Tim I'm going to miss your long form videos, but I totally respect your decision. If you aren't having fun or getting joy out of it. Trolls will troll, it's not even personal they just plain ignorant, please don't delete 'cause I come back now and then to re watch, I take it these trolls don't collect? they're not part of this community, I don't actually post my library but you can see some of it in the background especially my vast vinyl records collection.

Hey Tim. I'm so sorry that the horrible side of RUclips trolls have taken a toll on your well being. I get it, completely. There have been so many times I've said to myself, "why the hell am I doing this?" And I absolutely understand the comment anxiety. I've been avoiding my comment section like the plague. It's hurtful and it wears on you. I'm sorry the trolls have even taken to going after your wife, it's as awful.
Interesting that you enjoy the short form content because I just mentioned your TikTok in my video last night and saying how much I've been enjoying the videos. If you enjoy the short form, do it. You're an awesome collector and you've always been very kind to me. I'll watch whatever you post and wherever you post it. Sorry to hear this Tim, part of me wants to say "just ignore the negative comments" and/or "just block them" but I can understand that might be easier said than done. Sadly there are a lot of people out there who get off on being trolls, their one goal/joy in life is to provoke, engineer and witness the negative reactions of others whilst being under the protective anonymity of their keyboards. They're not worth a second of your time, your thoughts or your emotions so you shouldn't let them get to you or stop you from doing what makes you happy (but as I say, I can understand that might be easier said than done and you have to do what's right for you). Take care m8.
Don't let the trolls stop you from doing what you love to do. I myself have my own channel. Any troll that come on my channel I call them out and get rid of them. I love to embarrassed the trolls. Now I get trolls whenever I come on live sometimes but as far as people commenting. On a rare occasion I do but most of the time I have great people comment. Yes I agree you don't want the negativity. You definitely have to do what's right for your mental health that's very important. Soo do what you got to do. We support you either way.

I’m truly sorry to hear about your experiences, Tim. Nobody deserves that kind of trolling and attacks against your spouse and others. It’s bad enough to be attacking you for some imagined reason but drawing your wife and others into it is really crossing the line.
You have every right to push pause and not return until you’re 9:07 in a much better head space. It’s not like you’re really benefiting from the channel except for some ad revenue. The ones who have set up agreements with some of the studios and boutique for review copies have an incentive to continue their channels. And I don’t hate them or have any jealousy for them as when I was a reporter, I got books and CDs. It’s just part of the job. But, sadly, I can understand why some people hate them. You, however, aren’t receiving anything nor have you been controversial so I really don’t get it.
While I appreciate and accept your decision to take a step back from this, I personally will miss watching your videos.
One idea I can think of is setting up a private group where the only people allowed are either those you have invited or people have to answer questions and you can approve them based on their responses. Or set up one of those fan accounts where people pay so much each month and you can post videos there that are viewable only by paid members. The name of this platform is on the tip of my tongue, but I’m having a blonde moment at the moment.
Regardless of what you choose, I wish you the best as you head into the future. Please keep us updated.
Hate to see this Tim. You need to know that your channel did so much good, made me look at my channel and relaunching it differently. The trolls have their corner in every part of our lives, and sometimes the power we give them overpowers us, its hard and another reason why I was so hesitant on even redoing mine, so hearing you say this, I can relate.

I don't have a channel but yeah man I get it. It seems like everyone hates everything now. A lot of my favorite ip's are getting destroyed by "fans". I grew up in the 80's and I could have never in my wildest dreams expected to see the shows and movies we routinely get now. People are just so spoiled rotten. And rotten seems to be the operative word.

Honestly getting sick of RUclips. I'm getting sick of comments just randomly getting deleted even if my comment isn't even bad as the one I am replying to.
I'm thinking Randy it's the algorithmic bots that moderate these platforms they just don't understand human banter
I get the same. I had to rewrite a comment 4 times last night to get it accepted, and it wasn't even controversial.

I think people don't understand what you put into making a RUclips channel and in this day and age it's to easy for people to go online and say whatever they want for whatever reason (I don't agree with this). But at the end of the day you are the person who has to look after you so do what is right for you and hopefully that leads you to being in a better frame of mind. I hear what you are saying ….after being “on” RUclips for well over 10 years it is one of the reasons I refuse to make content on this platform. Other than turning off comments, you have to deal with the negative 😢 - so I dont create because of those reasons, I’ll stick to IG and just post my pickups…. Life’s too short to have to deal with that kind of mentality.

Best thing to do Tim is disable the comments for now maybe when you switch them back on in a few weeks or months the trolls will be gone

i may be talking out of my ass, as i have never had any desire to have a youtube channel, but it seems to me that perhaps you, and the thousands of content creators like yourself push yourself too hard to post a new video every few days, and that is when the burnout happens. i know it's because it's a push to stay "relevant" and to not get "forgotten and unsubscribed," but why push yourself to put out content so often. just do a video when you feel like it, even if it's 1 every couple of weeks. your true fans will wait, and if they can't, it's their problem. content creators get so worked up and in the mindset, "oh hell, it's been 2 days i gotta get a video out." but whatever. you don't owe us any explanation. and if you don't want bad comments, close the comment section. do what's best for you. delete the channel, scale back, or whatever. even if the viewers feel that "they are owed" a new video as often as possible, their not owed anything. you decide what's best for you.
Don’t take yourself to seriously. This whole “content” mindset needs to go. Just do whatever you love and upload on your own time. Peace
