Race packs by Nathan, Ultimate Direction, or Salomon for the win! Many of those will have cords on the exterior so you can have your poles and puff jacket on the outside, lashed down. I think you gals would love Merrell Trail Glove or Vapor Gloves! Great video.
We saw what bags two of you used but what about the other two? I’m really conflicted on what bag to get. I’ve used a couple of hydration packs for our training hikes but I think they will be too small. I’m looking for one around 20L. Thanks!
Not all of these are portable and some of these have nuts, but there are still quite a few additional options that might work for you. Of course the bean and cheese burrito that my sister took would also be a great option and was one of her favorite items. www.healthline.com/nutrition/healthy-high-protein-snacks
@@RadiantRealty Awesome!!! Thank you! By the way, I appreciate how it's not beneath you to shop deals. A lot of people are to "uppity" for clearance (and they are only fooling themselves). Thank you for the videos!
I love the thrill of finding a great deal. Exciting every time. 😜 It doesn’t matter what the item is either. Travel, real estate, or socks and shoes, haha.
While I fully appreciate the appeal of the notion to "do it all in one day," I would definitely encourage doing precisely the opposite - "stop and enjoy it, take your time."
I think there are definitely two distinct camps. I lean towards your thinking, but my sister wants a good challenge. Of course, she has also run marathons and the like.
In general, you are packing too much stuff. Other than food and maybe a change of socks, all of the extra stuff is not necessary at all. No need for a beanie or long pants at all on this hike, good running shoes or trail runners are all that is needed for this trail. Without water, your pack should be 5 lbs max and that includes all of your food. With a sun hat and a long sleeve wicking top, there is no need for sun screen at all. I think a lot of people pack their fears, but this is a well traveled trail with plenty of available water except for some times of the winter. I personally am not a hiking pole fan at all, I know that some people like them, but that is what quadraceps are for, I think they are a hassle and slow you down.
Agreed, they carried wayyyyy too much stuff (except the one with the race vest) - but, they're not experienced hikers, so they're learning. Everyone's gotta start somewhere.
When I saw her pull out the leggings and jacket, I knew it was not the right video for me. Every video I’ve seen tells you to travel light. No heavy sole shoes, light clothing, etc
LOVE your videos !! I’m your biggest fan from Arizona 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much Tim. 😀
Try sock liners. Helped with my foot pain and no blisters.
Great tip. Thank you. Do you have a favorite brand?

We all used the typical backpacking bags except for Theresa. She loved the hydration pack.
What other high protein snacks do you recommend for some one with a nut allergy? I can’t eat anything with any nuts unfortunately

What date was the hike? I am going in September this year.
I think it was September 9. If not, it was close.
What time of the year did you go ?
September. I believe around Sept 10th.
What was the website for shoe and sock? Something trading post. I couldn't understand what she said.
Sierra Trading Post 🥾

Great content, I like it 👍 I'm always open for feedback, and would be grateful, if someone would check it out.

Husband? What was all that "one-in-a-million" talk? Those are some attractive hikers! Not like in New Hampshire.

You sure feel strongly about all that.
