I love this part of Florida. My dad and I tarpon fish in this area quite a bit. And banyans are awesome. I'm jealous! Need to bring a bike and ride the beaches. So awesome
Wow... love your adventures...and your reviews ... thanks for taking the time. I love in Englewood fl. Hope your trip to Boca grande was great . Look in to Cayocosta Island great trip ... good luck
Brad Beaird just looked up your other vids and seen one on the KT Trail. I’m originally from Washington MO and miss riding that! I’ll stop stalking now 😉
Recently found your channel. Enjoy the relaxed vibe. New to mtn biking and now interested in bike camping after having to give trail running from injury. Glad you guys enjoyed your trip here in Fl.
Now that's how I wanted to spend my holidays. Jerry's grocery bike 🤣 love the set up 👍 Awesome beach ride to some nice weather. Man I didn't even celebrate the holidays.. just worked OT back to back.
Flatheadfletch it’s like asking a sailor which is the best anchor. I think it’s a bit of a personal decision. Of these two, I’d probably lean towards the Fargo. But now I’m sporting an ECR and sure do love those 29x3’s ;)
Stephen White lol! I’ve thought about it a ton... but I like to minimize my flat tyre risk... btw, do you know if anyone makes a trailer with 2.5-3 in tires... or maybe tubeless? Would be weird, but that might win me over.
I really like surly ogre, but I want the Rohloff, belt drive configuration. The bike shop says I need to cut the frame to get the belt drive on, voiding the Warranty. So, that got me thinking about salsa. Question? You think cutting the frame on the ogre is a good idea or just settle for the Salsa?
I personally would have no problem cutting the frame and putting in a tube splitter from someone like Paragon Machine Works, however, you need to realize that will most likely require a repaint as well. If you haven't purchased a bike yet, then I would go ahead and look at the Fargo as it has drop out made for it already. It's a great bike.
What a wasted opportunity to do a head-to-head comparison of two very popular bikes that your potential viewers may be interested in. Best of luck, best wishes!

You would love it. Nothing like riding the beach.

Jason2Wheels gotta save up that money for the next tour!
Nice ride man! The Ogre is a beast!
It's my buddy Jerry's Ogre, but I'm on the hunt now for a Surly ;)

Flatheadfletch the ECR is now my love affair. Videos coming soon on it just waiting for a bit better weather here.
Flatheadfletch minor differences compared to the ogre. Little bit longer overall frame.
Any extra charges bringing the bikes on the water Taxi?
No we had a party of nine so they basically gave us the "whole boat" rate :D
One of my favorite states to ride . Headed to Seminole in about two weeks . Get a bike trailer lol .
Haha a bike trailer is a pretty good idea as well :D

I ride a Salsa... but I’m feel in’ Surly since I left the island!
@@BiminiJerry Burly makes the Coho XC Trailer that has a pretty wide looking tire. Not cheap though.
@@BiminiJerry Hahaha me as well
What brand the yellow bag on the bike
The bag on the back of the Ogre was a Arkel Tail rider with the yellow rain cover over it.
