I rode my bicycle to my grandma's house in the early 80s. It was about 140 miles each way. Your Grandma lives a lot further. That was a Grand-bike ride.
Hola!! Gracias amigo por tu buenas palabras!!! Me da mucha motivación leer tu comment!! Espero que pronto pues echar tu viaje a tu sueños!! Aver si algún día nos encontramos! Saludos!
You guys don’t realise how lucky you are to have weather all year round warm enough to wear shorts and ride your bike without freezing to an inch from death, enjoy your weather my friend,
Nice setup, have the same bike. I run 27.5 X 3 inch tires for rough bikepacking trips and they worked perfect and have the stock 29ers for everything thing else. Have a safe trip
Hi, great video, thanks. Could you tell us your font chainring and cassette size and have you had any problems with a 1 X set up for your touring ?. Many thanks and stay safe, Mike UK
Hi! I have 12 speed with 42th cassette in the back and I dont recall the front one. No problems at all with 1x set up it was super reliable and wouldd buy it again. Thank you for watching my friend!
Fantastic video. You cover twice the stuff in 1/2 the time as many other videos. Looks like a really good size bike for you. Looks like you could use a second bottle under the down tube. When is your departure?
Thank you for watching! agreed on the water bottle, I ended up installing one in San Diego. Right now I am close to Durango Mexico! it's been an awesome trip so far!
Me gusto! La Surly so bonitas y buena cálida.
@@EmenseCoffee I started a similar (but a little less extreme) trip a month ago and I also took everything that I thought could be useful with me. I now send about 60% of the weight back home and it feels infinitely better to ride and makes the whole experience better.

I like your thinking! That’s smart 3” is a very good tire for rough bike packing. Eventually I will convert to 3” later down the line.
Gives great suspension when running tubeless
Make sure you like those handlebars I have the same bike and thinking about the surly molakos .
so far so good! i think the molakos are pretty cool too!

@@EmenseCoffee What do you think about Surly ECR? is it nice bike?
@@johnysky6066 I think it's a sweet bike! do you own one?
@@EmenseCoffee No I'm kinda deciding what to choose, ECR has 12 speeds , It might be helpful
@@johnysky6066 ECR has 50T in the back which will be good for climbing. It depends what kind of riding you will be doing!
