It has been over a year since I released my original Tribute to the Vengeance video. Check it out if you haven't:

Since that time, I have learned much and seeing as that I love this ship I thought I would give it a quick redux!
I had much higher goals for some scenes but "limitations" forced me to scale it back a bit.

i must say in my opinion, vengeance is a pretty sexy ship.
The best Federation starship imo
I wish that Cryptic made a full bridge with lower decks for it, in the lighting you see on the bridge. That dark, cool(in temperature) tone to it throughout the whole ship. With a ready room, and places to mount trophies of war. Thank you for putting the video back up!

I know the USS Vengeance is a Federation vessel but damn!!! This ship has a feel like someone went to the the Imperial Universe and brought her designs back. This ship is the Federation equivalent of the Death Star. Palpatine errr Emperor Kirk would approve.

that being said, seeing how cool this ship turned out I'd love to see the Dreadnought class expanded upon. Imagine a dreadnought class ship with the name Enterprise
I Headcannoned my Discovery Era Vulcan where they are in Command of a Dreadnought-class starship.

The intel dreadnought is the next ship on my list, i just love everything about it, its size, its firepower, the interior, its wonderful! I have the kelvin timeline weapons, but i never use them, theyre just a bit weak in my opinion, except for the torpedo, its the main aft torpedo on my gagarin, the front being the quantum phase torpedo :)

@@snipey47a no problem about the Reply thing, but how did you get the Kelvin Enterprise on the Window Screen? cause it still has those Front Nacelle Things moving and slightly moves when the Camera is Panning, how did you do it?

OK ok Vengeance is stupid over powered and I love seeing it just breeze through Brog cubes, but I really think a brand spackin new Odyssey class would at least but up more of a fight that the that, I mean it was the direct replacement of the Sovereign class which was built more towards combat. I do love the video and I love the Vengeance and I want so much more of it kicking ass.
StarFleet basically took Borg technology & built a starship out of it. seeing Vengeance on the movie screen as it drifted out of the secret facility was awesome. really cool ship. (nothing beats the Motion Picture refit Enterprise though - she's a ship of real beauty & elegance )

One of my personal federation ships by far. Though I watching it blow up the Discovery brought more of a smile to my face then it should have. Great job man. Will you still be able to make these without the foundry?
I took the vengeance and slapped a spore drive into it. Now the big boi can do spore jumps and scare the shit out of the enemy.
Vengence is my favourite federation ship, it is a beauty.....Never liked fed ships before I saw it.

The hole in the saucer, what's the function?
The Vengeance was designed to be run with a minimal crew. The command area as the back of the "hole" in the saucer section serves as a central region for ship control. The "hole" itself would also serve to reduce weight making the ship more maneuverable.
But, does not it leave the bridge very vulnerable?
I also do not understand how the top guns can fire without hurting the same ship.
Do these weapons have more power than a normal phaser?
Neither do I understand being a warship that the boats are so exposed in the upper area and I think the cymbal is too big, a design more similar to the tactical command battelcruier of the cytrix I like more.
Is there any website where this is explained? I would like to know the design logic.

@@eloi110786Tbf, every Trek ship (Federation ships in particular) have exposed bridges, and IRL, all bridges are super exposed so that the crew can see what is going on outside. Is it a bit over-the-top? Yeah, I'll admit. But alas, given the aforementioned points, I'm not complaining.
The weapons it comes with are basic gray.

I don't have a build link for it. It is a completely accurate to the movie build. 7 Kelvin phaser arrays (mostly dmg and crtd), 1 kelvin torp in the front (crtd, dmg), Elite Kelvin drone pets from star base... 3 piece iconian (deflector, impulse and shield), spire warp core. Running the broadside console and 2 piece counter command (free tac console and hydrodynamic console) for category 2 phaser damage buff. Spire tac consoles and then whatever else you want to fill the rest of the slots with.
@@snipey47a the Kelvin dreadnought cruiser is the best fed ship right now in the game. With the season 15 Star trek online is in there's probably better DPS options, but what you have is solid.
@@alanpattee4383 Don't really chase DPS anymore. I'm still a DPS channel admin though lol.... But I didn't build this ship for DPS... it was to be just like the movie. I did run it through ISA once... it did like 125k.

Can't think of an uglier ship than Discovery.
I can think of a few... the medical ship Crusher was in command of in the TNG finale comes to mind. Some would say the original TOS Enterprise is bland and ugly by today's standards.
The orinigal Enterprise was quite a departure for it's time, most ships in science fiction at the time were flying saucers or rockets. Beverly's ship, the Pastuer, was ugly but still better than Discovery.
