- Ladies and Gents, I give you... my version of The U.S.S. Goodson / NCC-7105. Originally designed by John Goodson. Seeing she was originally to be in First Contact. I added music from the movie. I know I said I was going to animate her firing the mega phasers. I still will. I just...forgot this time lol. But if you guys like this animation then you'll definitely see her again. As always. A really beautiful looking Starship
I love this so much! The purple add-ons to the nacelles make perfect sense as added slipstream drive capability. THIS is something we should have seen in the new shows!

I gotta say after watchin only two of your designs, that I just had to subscribe to your channel. Your designs are a breath of fresh air & exactly what Trek needs going forward. I truly hope the people at CBS/Paramount take notice & hire you. Ensuring all of the Star Trek fan base get the opportunity to also become huge fans of your work as I am. Dunno if you're familiar with the USS Emmitt Till? She is one of my Favorite designs, as I really didn't care for Starship designs with four nacelles such as the USS Stargazer. But once I saw the Emmitt Till & then the USS Buran, the designs more than grew on me. Any designs or plans to design a Federation Starship with four nacelles. Personally I would love to see a design with four nacelles that have different positions, much like the Klingon Bird Of Prey? Great designs, I myself am beyond impressed 👏🏼
Also just a bit of praise mixed with a bit of constructive criticism, as whether one likes aspects of a design or not is completely subjective. Love the phaser cannons (least I am guessin they are phasers or phase cannons) on the nacelles supports! What class are they? As it would be amazing if they had the same phase cannons as the USS Defiant. Only criticism is that I think it would be unique if the phaser cannons faced toward & towards the aft as well. Giving the USS Goodson a tactical advantage when a hostile ship is in pursuit directly behind perhaps? Amazing work once again, nothin but prop's to you 👊🏼
I like the design but I think the nacelle struts should be attached lower on and further back on the secondary hull. But it still a cool design💯
I like where this design is going and could see it potentially being a flagship in a Trek show. My only criticism is the warp nacelles. If I may suggest, try scaling them down about thirty percent.

Since there's no scale in space, usually, I feel like the oversized nacelles relative to the rest of the ship give the impression of something that's overall small, scrappy, and agile, like the Nova or Intrepid classes.
Since my last request was pointless due to you planning to make a video just like it, can you please make the Kelvin timeline U.S.S. Vengeance but with the same physical arrangement as a Miranda class ship like the U.S.S. Reliant?

I know that this design produces mixed reactions from fans, but in spite of her rather funky profile, I've always had a soft-spot for this design. She looks like a well armed Cruiser capable of putting up a good fight, especially for her size, like some 'roid-raged Intrepid. Sure, you COULD change the design and proportion of the nacelles, and try to Nova or "Sovvie-fy" her, but then she wouldn't be Goodson's design anymore. Granted that it is likely that if she did make it further into the movie, it is likely between Goodson and ILM, her proportions would have likely seen some refinement, perhaps even some parts rearranged, just like the rest of the designs from First Contact. However, it would end up looking like a very different design as a result.
But someone needs to do something about that registry. She was definitely built around the same time as the Nova, Intrepid, and Sovereign class, so adding a 2,3, or 4 somewhere in there would definitely be appropriate. Something like NCC-73105 or 74105.
Interesting design. Although in MY opinion the nacelles need to be attached to the secondary hull. It looks weird having them where they are. Also the block area should go down into a slope and blend in with the rest of the secondary hull.
This is what happens when a good design doesn’t understand why warp nacelles have the blue lights facing one another. They are what work in random to create the warp field so the fact that the nacelles here have them facing away from each other ruins the feasibility of his great looking ship design from an in 8 inverse perspective.
BTW:it’s probably a bad idea to go to warp that close to a star... unless you’re trying to perform the Spock slingshot to travel back in time. 😏

I just happened to stumble across your videos and I must say I am really really impressed. I would just have one question, if I may ask. What kind of software do you use? I‘d really like to create something like this. I am currently using Blender but I never attempted something this big...

Thank you :) I use Blender as well. 2.79. This vessel was made in B2.79, then transfered to After Effects and retextured in Element 3D. I could've animated it Blender and the vessel would've looked ALOT more realistic...BUT...the render would've also taken alot longer to make. I'm still trying to figure out how to make the model and textures look more realistic in Elemrnt 3D. I'll figure it out one day.
Starfleet is like a rushed base in games , it has op ships but also has Miranda class ship , it needs to be even and not have super powerful one and shitty ones
I remember seeing an artist's conception of a vessel very similar to this one. It was called the Zodiac. Is this design based on that rendition? It looks very close.
Starfleet must hire you as a ship designer. Better than the professionals. Have you thought of combining Star Trek and Star Wars ships?
I have actually. That enterprisefalcon image that keeps going around, I made the model last year. Also made a Federation Star Destroyer once. Was inspired after I saw an amazing render of a Borg Star Destroyer. I've also made some Star Wars vessels such as the Supremecy. Ill animate them eventually.

She was designed by John Goodson. So Id say Goodson-Class. (I don’t remember if shes an escort or destroyer). Theres more info in the description but not much.

@@QuantumDesignsAZ Awesome!! I love to be the “custom refit” yard boss, to bash together warp engines, weapons systems, shield grids.. Those nacelles look really beefy and clean! Looks like she can take on a Romulan Warbird?
