The people who made the music for this movie went SO HARD. It's still to this day one of my favorite soundtracks in a movie franchise. This franchise is so well done and I hope you guys watch How To Train Your Dragon 2 and 3 because the entire trilogy is amazing but I think the second movie is my favorite.
They had no right going that hard for the sound track fr! Esp for the second movie's song, "I go where no one else goes" is such a beautiful song!

I personally think HTTYD is the best DreamWorks animated movie of all time even better than Shrek and Kung fu Panda.
I use the music for this movie for my Dungeons and Dragons sessions and it gets everyone in the zone..

this movie was actually my first cinema experience and it’s certainly a core memory lol
I was lucky enough to have watched it on the big screen in RealD 3D. Same thing for all of the films! Definitely a missed opportunity, it was great! The theater was packed, and we all had a blast~
@@superunicorn1001 Most local only theaters should let you but you usually rent it for the whole day, one of my friends dads rented all 6 theater rooms once as a birthday gift so we could watch whatever movie was in at the time and get snacks without having to be deal with anyone else besides people he invited, then since we had it all day, we set up our switches in separate theaters and played mario kart
Fun fact: Most dragons are terrified of eels because it makes them sick. In one of the TV series, we see the effects eels have first hand after Toothless, defending Hiccup from vicious eels, ate one. Their senses go ballistic, their shot limit is negated and boosts their breath attack and throws their aggression into overdrive. The only dragon known to intentionally consume eels is the Typhoomerang, which allows it boost its own firepower without the negative effects.

@@ItsLiterallyJax i think the multiple tv series are good. Lots of world building, newly discovered characters, dragons and lands. If you can find a streaming service or 3rd party site to watch.
@@ItsLiterallyJax Please keep in mind that the series’ animation isn’t as good as the movies, but the character development, new dragons and lots of world building are worth a gander if you’re looking for something to binge watch.

This definitely the most underrated DreamWorks trilogy I’ve watched especially in comparison to other DreamWork trilogies like Madagascar, Shrek, and Kung Fu Panda that are just more popular.
The concept of Dragon being pets and companions to Vikings is pretty dope for a kid-friendly movie, and watching this I totally forgot Hiccup lost his leg at the end. It’s been ages since I’ve watched the TV series of this on Cartoon Network.
Tv shows were bad but the movies were great.

I kinda figured since the dragons are intelligent, they realized at the end that the humans had eliminated their “queen” both saving them and showing a dragon above the queen made them just kinda follow back for a new nest
The second one gotta be my favorite out of the trilogy. But the score in this one was just on another level. DreamWorks does it best 👌 🔥🔥🔥

Detail that's kinda wild when you think about it: Hiccup is falling backwards into the fire, and Toothless is diving headfirst to save him and is able to wrap him up in his wings. Hiccup wouldn't just lose his foot from the fire, so how'd he lose it? Most logical answer: Toothless had to bite down and basically bite his foot off in order to get a good enough grip to pull Hiccup into his wings.
Which makes sense since you almost see sadness when hiccup first wakes up and toothless looks down and looks kinda sad for a moment but than gets happy when he sees hiccup try to walk

After HTTYD there's a tv series, of course you don't have to watch it if you don't want to, but some of the dragons that was seen in the dragon manual are only seen in the tv series, also if you ever decide to watch HTTYD tv series, watch it before HTTYD2. This was one of my favourite trilogies to watch growing up as a kid, but of course it was it wasn't a trilogy back then so.
to add to this, the end of the series has pretty big reveal for HTTYD2

The large dragon at the end is called the red death, she's a queen in the alpha species dragons (similar class as the bewilderbeast). There's also a green death.

A cool drtail is how,when astrid first sees toothless,her first instinct is to get hiccup doen . She dislikes him quite heavily at this point,but doesnt want him dead. That or shes such a team player that its her first gut instinct with EVERYONE. Either way, a whole lot more depth than just jealous girl into instant love interest

@@been_sol0297 HTTYD came out almost 14 years ago, it's old enough to be referenced. Greg Yaitanes (director of House of the Dragon) confirmed his influences were HTTYD and Jurassic Park for the season finale.

Idk if anyone will see this but years ago Animal Planet made a whole fake documentary about finding a whole real dragon carcass. As a kid I was 100% fooled and thought for years it was a real thing. So so I felt Evan’s defense on the real dragon talk. I’d get heated trying to to argue with people on it till I grew up and found out AP did us all dirty. They had a whole mermaid special made the same way too, trying to look real as hell

The TV shows set in-between all the movies are peak as well, as they deal with the characters navigating their new airborn world, dealing with other Viking clans who refuse to change their dragon hunting ways, all sorts of new dragon species, and just showing how the other characters grow their bond with their dragons.
