It’s moments like that we all chase in real life. When you throw away the cheat sheet, you stop thinking and just react on instinct, totally in flow. When everything finally clicks after you’ve practiced something over and over, worrying and thinking about it, and then BAM, it suddenly all makes sense. We live for those moments. Chills every time
I’ve seen a post commenting on how he is still slim but he just figured out how to use armor to appear bigger and more muscle-y in the following movies.
23:30 Cinema Therapy did a video on Hiccup and Astrid's relationship, which sort of starts here. She might not understand everything Hiccup believes or thinks of right away, but she still respects it and backs him up no matter what. And when he doesn't believe in his own ideas and abilities, she does, and then she gets him to believe in them and in himself again. Honestly, they have one of the healthiest relationships I've ever watched (whether the media is animated, "kids' movies," live-action, and everything in between.)
I'm glad more people watch Cinema Therapy! I've been recommending it to everyone I know in person, and their analyses help me get a deeper understanding of movies I already enjoy and movies I see for the first time.
I love how you are fangirling over Astrid this entire movie bcoz honestly yea...she is the biggest green flag in a movie franchise ever..perfect wifu material

@@liaml.e.5964I watched a therapist react to this with his movie maker friend. Can’t remember the channel name lol but he loved them and said they were a perfect example of a healthy, loving couple
I love her because she doesn’t respect Hiccup until he finally stands up for himself and what he believes in. He says no, this is where I draw the line, and she’s like word. Lead on.
This scene 6:57 with toothless having his eye open was actually a animation error! He originally was going to have his eye closed in this scene (or be open the entire time hiccup found him I truthfully can't remember) but because of this error (Thank God for it too) it made the scene 100x better and powerful so the directors kept the shot! 😊
ALSO at 12:16 toothless movements are based off cat movements! If I remember correctly they used the directors or one of the main animators cat as reference. And storm fly (astrids dragon) is inspired by parrot movements. They put in A LOT of thought and detail into creating these films :))
@@sirennarose9839what's funny to me is that even if that's true I also see some cat and fox behavior mixed in there (3 of my favorite animals into one creature)
That's not true. They decided Toothless should have his eyes open in this scene because they really emphasized the vertical pupils. Doing that made him seem more alien/other before we know him as a friend. He hasn't even been named at this point! 😊 Such a great movie!
@@sidneyellen8077I've never heard of this truthfully. For years that's what I've always heard that it was a animation error or some glitch, even google tells you the same thing, and I don't doubt it bc ik some films keep in certain errors because it made the shot look better. But regardless it's a powerful scene 😊 I absolutely love this trilogy and hope they make official movies of the next gen regarding his and astrids kids
28:33 Something Cinema Therapy pointed out that I hadn't noticed before is that Hiccup didn't inherit his physical appearance from his father, Stoick. (More on that in the next films.) But he DID inherit Stoick's eyes, which is easier to see now that Stoick's face has softened/he's not scowling.
Just in case you didn't notice, the score during hiccup and toothless' flight scene is actually both of their themes mixed. Makes me tear up literally everytime.
10:56 I know you said you didn’t wanna watch the whole show- but that’s literally what the whole show is about 😭 literally just all the dragon lore It’s abt the characters, while they’re kids, going out and exploring with their dragons then recording all of their findings bc the events of the first film changed everything they knew abt dragons and now they’re re-experiencing all the dragons from the book with their new knowledge abt dragons in general It’s a pretty cool show and it gets referenced a lot in the ‘stand-alone’ specials If you just wanna learn all about the dragons I’d highly recommend the show
YESSSS!!! I was going to comment this when I heard him say that! There’s sooo much dragon lore in all three shows, and all of the characters get developed so much more. I rewatch all of them on the regular bc they’re just so good!
People usually skip it because the animation quality doesn’t match the movies, I almost did too. But once I actually gave it a shot, I got hooked. It’s seriously so good, there’s no other way to put it.
6:56 Apparently this slit-eyed stare at Hiccup and the moment Toothless hesitated to let Hiccup touch his snoot (at 13:48) were BOTH animation errors in the computer. The stare was accidental but the animators/directors decided to keep the shot the way it was because it added to Toothless' look of utter, paralyzed fear. The hesitation before the nose-touch was also a mistake, but they decided to keep it because it made Toothless seem more anthropomorphized in his thinking, since it looked like it gave him more thoughts and emotions in that pivotal moment of their relationship (ie, the beginning of their allyship that would become friendship.) Both "mistakes" gave Toothless more nuance because they lent him thoughts and feelings like a real wild animal meeting a person, which would make him more endearing as a "domesticated" character later on.
@@Jaybe-or-Jaybe-not Haha😂 Yes, some of the greatest/most iconic moments in movies were initially a mistake or were an alternative solution to a problem. For instance, in the original Disney Snow White movie, they couldn't figure out how to make Snow White look less pale because the coloring on the cel (film) made her look washed out and "anemic." The (male) animators were worried they'd have to give up but then one of the female animators dabbed some of her rouge/blush or lipstick on the cel and it WORKED. In the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Star Lord dropped the sphere as he was handing it over, but that was just Chris Pratt being clumsy. They felt it added to his character so they kept it. In Turning Red, Mei's VA, Rosalie Chiang, was only 12 when she recorded her dialogue. For the scene where she turns into a panda at school and sees Devon while rushing home, none of her given lines were working out the way they wanted to. Someone suggested she try "AWOOGA!" but has to explain to her what it meant because she didn't understand. Of course, her catcalling someone as a line in her script made her flustered 😂 They got the perfect take in about 3 tries! And that's one of people's favorite funny moments in the whole movie.
This movie has a lot of sentimental value to me , it came out about 3-4 months after my mom died when I was 6 years old and with hiccup not having a present mother and my love of dragons , this film soon became a comfort to tiny me. I remember seeing it for the first time in theaters and being absolutely in love with the film I begged my grandfather to take me three more times. I had a monstrous nightmare toy from mcdonald's that I adored and played with every day as a kid. I love this film and I believe it also had a heavy influence on my taste in instrumental music and my love of sound design. I am so happy that you've finally reacted to it :D
Same! My mom died when I was a baby and I felt like i finaly wasn't alone in growing up without a mom. Then when the second one came out I just cried the whole time. Stoick and Valka looked just like my parents.
I'm sorry to hear about your mom but I'm glad this movie brought you joy during such hard times. I had the exact same McDonald's toy! It was the best, back when McToys were still good.
The parallel between Hiccup and Toothless is so interesting. Like how Toothless' missing tailwing was due to Hiccup shooting him down, it is theorised that Hiccup's leg was caught by Toothless' jaw while they were just about falling to their death. It would explain why only that leg is damaged and the rest of his body was fine if not a bit toasted. I love the fact that like in a real strong friendship how people can have their differences and at times even hurt each other, they become stronger by relying on each other during that hard times and build each other up.
Im glad to see that the scence where hiccup rides toothless for the first time 17:50 is universally very emotional for all of us. The music ,the animation, all so dynamic and passionate. I can't express how incredibly made that scene is crafted
have you noticed that oTothless always waits for them to apologize before lightening up. Like when Astrid was on his back, it wasnt until she apologized to Hiccup that he made it a better experience for her. When Stoick find Toothless curdled up, it isnt until he apologizes to Hiccup that he reveals him.
Test Drive (the main theme that plays when Hiccup and Toothless are flying together) is one of my favorite instrumental pieces from movies. I can’t help but smile when I hear it.
Toothless is deliberately a mixture of dogs, cats, horses and birds so all different kinds of pet owners would see their own pets reflected in him and fall in love with him. It's very interesting seeing what different pet owners see in Toothless but whatever you see I think we can all agree he's gorgeous 🥰
One of the things I love so much about this movie is that the trope of “parent pushing their goals and dreams onto a child” and the “hiding the pet” tropes have GENUINE STAKES. it’s not just that Stoick is trying to push his lifestyle onto Hiccup - from Stoick’s perspective, they are at war and their kids WILL DIE if they don’t prepare themselves to face the dragons. And a Night Fury is basically an apex predator Hiccup is keeping in the backyard. Most other movies where a parent is trying so hard to make their kid into their ideal version of a person it falls flat because the stakes just aren’t there, but in this movie it makes perfect sense. And once Stoick sees that Hiccup was right, they CAN live alongside the dragons, he changes his perspective and apologizes for how he acted. Can you tell I love Stoick
I love the contrast between the first time Toothless picks up Astrid (right-side up even) and she screams the entire time he's carrying her, and the second time Toothless picks her up (when he catches her in midair UPSIDE DOWN) and she just smiles at him. That says so much about the changes in how she feels about him.
18:13 I get emotional EVERY time I watch this scene. Probably one of the most beautiful moments in animation, at least it is in my opinion! It’s absolutely stunning. Their connection, the music, the anxiety and exhilaration you feel watching them fly together, and the visual… I don’t know what else to say other than, it’s perfect.
I love how catlike Toothless is. He is like soul bounded, communicating without speaking. While Astrid trains her dragon more like a dog with specific commands
I'm obsessed with How to Train Your Dragon! There are so many dragons, I could ramble about them all day. I hope you watch the second film soon, that one is my favorite out of the trilogy!
Honestly nothing has quite hit the same as the moment they first flew. It blew my mind, especially since I saw it in 3D and it opened my eyes to what 3D was capable of in film! Honestly it’s a near perfect trilogy and definitely my favorite dreamworks franchise that never dropped in quality for me.
It makes perfect logical sense and would make them truely even. Of course, they probably wont ever confirm that as thats too dark for them but its definitely true
Fun fact about the Test Drive scene: in that bit when Hiccup ditches his cheat sheet and just flies instinctively, the score does something pretty cool, Hiccup and Toothless have their theme music blended together. Makes me happy that it’s probably the most iconic part of the score in all three films

In the show there’s more information about the different dragon types, I also distinctly remember The Screaming Death, The Whispering Death, The Deadly Nadder, The Skrill and a dragon that looked like a Pokémon who’s name I can’t remember. I adore this franchise with my whole heart
Ooh and the one that steals bones! I forget the name but it was in the section hiccup was reading the dragons and started just saying extremely dangerous instead of the descriptions.
Great job on your reaction Niall! Also if anyone likes Pokemon and is looking for a really fun and exciting Pokemon and How To Train Your Dragon Crossover Fanfiction I highly recommend The Trials of Sarah series! It tells the story of Sarah Tomoe and all of her friends and family and there is even a Special fanfiction that involves the first How To Train Your Dragon movie in which Sarah, her godfather Tsukumaro and her dragons and Pokemon go to Berk to work together with Hiccup to stop the war between humans and dragons!
idk, where you got your info at 0:23 about 22 seasons and 223 eps for the tv show. There is a kids tv show set in the future, but that is not that great... really focusing on the young kids audience. The main timeline tv show (Dragons:Riders of Berk, Dragons:Defenders of Berk and Draagon Race to the Edge) has 8 seasons in total and 118 eps. I mean, I know its a lot, but at least not 223 haha. But non the less, I am happy you checked out this awesome film!
This franchise has been part of my childhood. I watched the first film on tv with my parents and grandma when I was 7 I think. Then I watched the tv series on CN and the one on Netflix when it came out then the second and third films in theaters. This franchise is my comfort franchise. I know every line from every movie and episode by heart 🤣
I don't know if you knew, but at the scene at @ 19:25 when Stoick is talking about the breastplate helmet, he taps his own and says "Matching set" I love your reactions to these movies, I'm always smiling and cheering along with you 🤗Your positivity is infectious
The fact that I could not find a good Toothless plushie at the time is the main reason why I picked up crochet as a teenager. Now, as a grown woman, every night I cuddle my hand made toothless plushie that, not including the tail and wings, is the size of my torso.
The theory is that Hiccup didn’t loose his leg to the fire but rather it was the only thing Toothless could grab to pull. So basically Toothless bit down so hard to save him.
Bone napper: Collects bones and adds them to itself for armor. Has a very loud shrill scream that it can only do if it has full٫ complete armor. Just for some extra lore٫ I can add more if anyone finds this interesting
Literally this movie has one of THE BEST INTROS of any movie ever!!! also finally a RUclipsr who was able to articulate how this movie makes me feel 😭😭😭 can’t wait to see you react to the other ones!
17:52 WOWWWW the three of them simultaneously screaming and freaking out on-screen at the same time... priceless. And because I'm SEVERELY acrophobic, I'd be screaming too. ("Acrophobic" means I'm terrified of heights like skydiving, paragliding, hot air balloons, and tightropes, etc., but I'm not scared to fly in planes for some reason. Maybe it's the floor and enclosed space on a plane vs. feeling completely exposed or a possibility of falling everywhere else. )
I see so many people reacting to this film but nail's is the best one. the giddy joy is so real and I love how excited you get about it because that's how I feel every time I watch it (and I have watched it many many many time) :)
This has to be one of my absolute favorite movies 🤩🤩🤩 Edit: I freaking love your editing style!!! You really captured the movie and your reaction perfectly it’s amazing and really shows the hype this film deserves! Amazing video!!!
I'm so happy that you mentioned the music because both Hiccup and Toothless have their own recurring tune during the movie. So when we get to the flying scene, both of their music themes (or motifs) come together into one big sounding song. It's super grand and John Powell really did a great job. I will never NOT gas that man up. John Powell and Hans Zimmer (aka the man who wrote music for the Prince of Egypt, The Lion King, Interstellar, Dune, etc) actually came together and wrote the music for the Kung Fu Panda trilogies as well. I just thought I'd share the knowledge lmao
didn't expect to see my comment in this video HKSJDSKS but OMMMG i'm so glad you loved this movie!!!! can't wait to see your reaction to the other two!!
This is my 3 year old’s favourite movie right now! Too young to understand the nuances of the story, but old enough to understand the big ideas and love on Toothless :)
i have watched this movie SO MANY TIMES. this is one of the first films i remember actually watching in theaters when i was little (the only earlier one i can remember is kung fu panda, another fantastic film). it remains, to this day, one of my all time favourite films.
I teared up at that first flight too, and at the time I didn't understand why. Now I know it was simply wonder. The awe of experiencing what it could feel like to ride the back of a dragon, which the film does an amazing job of exuding. The music, the animation, it all comes together in such a powerful moment. You're not alone Niall!
I love how excited you get for a good movie!! I totally feel you on the adrenaline rush. I can literally just rewatch (or even just listen to) that 2 - 3 minute Test Drive scene (where Hiccup learns to fly without the cheat sheet) and tear up and feel the adrenaline rush from that alone. I adore this movie.
I tear up everytime the epic scene of them flying for first time without the cheat sheet and pure instinct. The Musical score, animation, heart all together....and I've seen it probably 15 times....but still water up
Such a jolly film; I also teared up at the scene where Hiccup faces his new disability with Toothless. You reactions always make me smile, your joy and enthusiasm are infectious. Suggestions, hmm. Stranger Things? Animation-wise, Castlevania :)
The first test flight always makes me emotional no matter how many times I see it. This trilogy is my all time favorite movie trilogy. I can watch it over and over and it never loses its magic! Thank you for watching these movies!
I just found your channel. Chuffed too see you watching my favorite movie/movie series. Also no worries about being startled or scared when you suddenly make eye contact with Toothless when Hiccup has him tied in the bolos. I watch this movie all the time, know the moments coming, and I still jump.
Fun fact about Toothless: He and other night furies are the fastest of any dragon species with the Skrill being a close second (because Skrills can literally use lightning clouds to travel from place to place).
I was 7 when this movie came out and I watched it in theaters 🖐🏻😭I remember just how ETHEREAL it was on the big screen. I will never not bawl my eyes out over the music. AUGH it’s just too good
As an aspiring animation director, I will always say this is the perfect film. It has everything!! I have seen it hundreds of times cause it is a masterclass in pace, storyboard, script, animation, and how to build good sequences. I'm Dean Deblois biggest fan.
This movie will always have sentimental value to me. I was 9 when it came out and I remember sitting in the theater with my family watching it. This is the movie that made me OBSESSED with dragons. I find the chance literally every month to watch the trilogy because truly it never gets old. Chills every time!
I've watched this film a million times but you had me gasping with you as dramatically as if it was my first rewatch. Also, I love your accent! Made it feel like a villager was literally watching and reacting to Hiccup!
I love watching you love this film 😭fav part is always 13:30 where, I can’t remember if it was on a tumblr post or what, but someone pointed out, it actually IS a portrait of hiccup that toothless has drawn! But it’s from an aerial point of view, which is really the main form of perspective dragons are constantly in(the loop near hiccup is his eye, follow the tilt of the camera and you’ll see it)🖤 I was obsessed w/ this movie when it came out as a wee 9yr old in 2010 to the point where my mom got me the book series
This is one of my favourite and most comforting movies from my childhood. I remember when I first watched it. I was around 4-5, my dad was dropping me off at my Grandmother’s after spending the weekend with him and he handed me a dvd case of HTTYD 1&2 and I watched both in one sitting and ranted about it for a week. It became the only thing I wanted to watch. It was the first movie to make my heart rate increase and make me feel exhilarated. This movie changed me and it makes me so happy every. Single. Time. I watch it.
This is honestly my absolute favorite trilogy!! This is the best kid's film of all time and it's absolutely timeless!! I can't wait to see you watch the next 2 films, you will absolutely love them❤
I know you are probably not but you would love rise of berk , it gives context for film 2 and a bunch of dragons, also developed the main villain of 2’story
I have this movie memorized. It is one of my all time favorites and I even learned how to play the score on the piano. If I remember correctly the halfway mark is right before Hiccup finds Toothless. Gobber says "He's probably out there now" and the scene cuts to a vertically scrolling overhead of the forest on Berk before we see Hiccup marking down another X in his journal. That's about the halfway mark because I timed it as a kid so I could watch it while I was home alone and have it be over before anyone came home and I was kicked off the family TV.
6:35 Fun fact that I've heard (might be wrong but I'm pretty sure its true) The eye being open was actually an animation error at first, but the animators and directors liked it being open so much that they kept it. Another animation error was actually Toothless flinching away from Hiccup's hand at first when they were about to touch for the first time at around 13:48 (wasnt shown in the video but it happens in the movie). Again, the animators and directors liked it so much they kept it.
if you want to see dragons from the book then you should definitely check out the tv series because it the movies we don't see them, but in the series there are a lot of amazing dragons, each of them has different ability and it's just sick. My favourite is definitely the Skrill, one of the most powerful dragons, and his design is also really cool. But there are also a lot of characters besides dragons, they are so well written, and villains are awesome (fun fact: fandom's favourite villain is from "Race to the edge" and i couldn't agree more, man is terrifying, and the villain from the third movie is a discount version of him lmao) tv series is so underrated, many people doesn't even know it exist or just doesn't want to watch it but it is really worth it, not only new characters but also a lot of easter eggs, crazy plot twists, and a lot of characters shown from a better angle, twins aren't as stupid as you may think, and Snotlout is just broken, that's why he acts like an asshole, you will also see how events from rtte influenced Hiccup, he lost his mind so many times during rtte. If you decide to watch it, then you won't regret it, trust me
I never realized how many horror shots are in this movie. The shot where Astrid and Hiccup watch dragons rising out of the fog around them always struck me. As a film suggestion do “Onward” (Disney/Pixar). It got lost in the 2020 madness but it’s a gem
Hey!! Just wanted to let you know that I recently started watching your vids and you are very quickly becoming a comfort RUclipsr for me :) I love your personality and the fun way you edit videos. Thanks for being you! Can't wait to watch more of your vids in the future!
Love your videos, I'm new to your channel. One thing I love it seems most people gloss over is Hiccup first saying he "couldn't" kill a dragon before saying he "wouldn't" a fact Astrid called him out on. Hiccup: Oh, for the love of-- I was a coward! I was weak! I wouldn't kill a dragon! Astrid: You said "wouldn't" that time. Hiccup: Whatever! I wouldn't! Three hundred years, and I'm the first Viking who wouldn't kill a dragon!

10:56 I know you said you didn’t wanna watch the whole show- but that’s literally what the whole show is about 😭 literally just all the dragon lore
It’s abt the characters, while they’re kids, going out and exploring with their dragons then recording all of their findings bc the events of the first film changed everything they knew abt dragons and now they’re re-experiencing all the dragons from the book with their new knowledge abt dragons in general
It’s a pretty cool show and it gets referenced a lot in the ‘stand-alone’ specials
If you just wanna learn all about the dragons I’d highly recommend the show
yesss! I want him to watch it so bad
YESSSS!!! I was going to comment this when I heard him say that! There’s sooo much dragon lore in all three shows, and all of the characters get developed so much more. I rewatch all of them on the regular bc they’re just so good!
@@52pickuplimes96I’ve only watched Race to the Edge and i love it tbh
I didn’t know that and it’s really cool it definitely adds more to the movie even if it’s just a slight movement
It was the best, back when McToys were still good.
the score in this movie… john powell did a PHENOMENAL JOB!! forbidden friendship, test drive and romantic flight NEVER fail to make me tear up!
This!!!
He kinda reminds me of my leopard gecko too lol
AAAAAHHHH!!!! One of my favorite youtubers reacting to my favorite movie!?!?!?? And I’m early?!?!? YIPPEE!!!!
i made this video specifically for you 🩷!!!
I legit tear up and cry every time I hear the flying theme. Idk why but it’s such an overwhelming experience for me.
It’s called „Test Drive“ if you ever want to listen to it!
Fishlegs is so me, but with the Odyssey. “I read it like seven times! There’s this bit where a cyclops-”
Hiccup looks so little in this film 🥺♥️
Edit: I love how your accent intensifies while watching this film 😂♥️
I saw all 3 when they released in theatres and was the biggest fan
of it as a child. This franchise WAS my childhood.
Oh gosh Niall I was just bored and trying to find something to watch and then YOU APPEARED! Thank you for feeding us King
You’re most welcome!! Eat up 🤩
I’ve seen people say that the reason Hiccup is missing a leg is because that was the only body part Toothless could reach to save him.
Fun fact: Toothless’ behavior is actually based on one of the animator’s cat. That’s why some of his scene is like a cat behavior.

Ooh and the one that steals bones! I forget the name but it was in the section hiccup was reading the dragons and started just saying extremely dangerous instead of the descriptions.
@@IllumInator-sv3tlthe boneknapper?
It’s called the triple stryker
@@escaped_cephalopod Yes! Thank you!
Build a bear actually has toothless plushies!!
I'm just shocked so many people do not know about this masterpiece. Please spread the word, this movie is a MUST see
Great job on your reaction Niall!
There's nothing like the first time watching that first flight with toothless with the MUSIC. incredible!!!
I don't know if you knew, but at the scene at @ 19:25 when Stoick is talking about the breastplate helmet, he taps his own and says "Matching set"
I love your reactions to these movies, I'm always smiling and cheering along with you 🤗Your positivity is infectious
There’s a reason this whole series is my favorite movie saga of all time 😂
The fact that I could not find a good Toothless plushie at the time is the main reason why I picked up crochet as a teenager. Now, as a grown woman, every night I cuddle my hand made toothless plushie that, not including the tail and wings, is the size of my torso.
im so ready to see him cry during this series.
i still cry after watching them
"tk for nothing you useless reptile" 😂😂😂 the best line 😂
The theory is that Hiccup didn’t loose his leg to the fire but rather it was the only thing Toothless could grab to pull. So basically Toothless bit down so hard to save him.
Bone napper: Collects bones and adds them to itself for armor. Has a very loud shrill scream that it can only do if it has full٫ complete armor.
Just for some extra lore٫ I can add more if anyone finds this interesting
Literally this movie has one of THE BEST INTROS of any movie ever!!! also finally a RUclipsr who was able to articulate how this movie makes me feel 😭😭😭 can’t wait to see you react to the other ones!
omfggg what a treat! can't wait to see you experience this emotional rollercoaster of a film franchise 🤍
This has to be one of my absolute favorite movies 🤩🤩🤩
Edit: I freaking love your editing style!!!
Hiccup and Astrid are couple goals as the series goes on. Cinema Therapy did a whole episode on it even ❤
I remember being the no. 1 of this franchise as a kid. It was just so immersive especially the music
didn't expect to see my comment in this video HKSJDSKS but OMMMG i'm so glad you loved this movie!!!! can't wait to see your reaction to the other two!!
i love your way of editing, very cool and interactive
it fit well with a movie i already know perfectly
This is my 3 year old’s favourite movie right now! Too young to understand the nuances of the story, but old enough to understand the big ideas and love on Toothless :)
Girl be ready to absolutely sob in the next movie 😭
Niall, your video editing and commentary are AMAZING. It made an already fantastic film be a a glorious one.
Wow, thank you! That means so much to me!! 🥹🩷
i have watched this movie SO MANY TIMES. this is one of the first films i remember actually watching in theaters when i was little (the only earlier one i can remember is kung fu panda, another fantastic film). it remains, to this day, one of my all time favourite films.
Yessssss. The music score for all 3 films are amazing!!! Always gives me shivers!!❤
This whole franchise is such a gem! I'm so excited for you to watch the other films!!
The Musical score, animation, heart all together....and I've seen it probably 15 times....but still water up
this guy needs to see race to the edge, they show off so many different dragon species. It's sick
Nial you’re literally the best!!! Pls never stop making videos 😭😭 you’re my comfort RUclipsr
I just found your channel. Chuffed too see you watching my favorite movie/movie series. Also no worries about being startled or scared when you suddenly make eye contact with Toothless when Hiccup has him tied in the bolos. I watch this movie all the time, know the moments coming, and I still jump.
I'm such a softy, i also got teary when Stoic told Hiccup he was proud and especially at the shot of toothless' tail and hiccups leg 🥹
Fun fact about Toothless: He and other night furies are the fastest of any dragon species with the Skrill being a close second (because Skrills can literally use lightning clouds to travel from place to place).
I am obsessed with your reactions, they're so genuinely joy filled ❤
I was 7 when this movie came out and I watched it in theaters 🖐🏻😭I remember just how ETHEREAL it was on the big screen. I will never not bawl my eyes out over the music. AUGH it’s just too good
This movie will always be very near and dear to my heart. The whole trilogy is just absolutely breathtaking.
One thing that confuses me though - all the adults have Scottish accents, but none of the kids do. What's up with that?
Single. Time. I watch it.
27:02 "Big Bertha is coming, Big Bertha" Had me sitting there like, "wait, he read the books? doesn't look like the type of guy to read the books..."
Lmao
This is honestly my absolute favorite trilogy!! This is the best kid's film of all time and it's absolutely timeless!! I can't wait to see you watch the next 2 films, you will absolutely love them❤
I know you are probably not but you would love rise of berk , it gives context for film 2 and a bunch of dragons, also developed the main villain of 2’story
“Test Drive” is honestly one of the best scenes in the history of film, it never fails to give me chills
I literally tear up whenever I hear the soundtrack of this movie. It's not only so magical, but so nostalgic for me too.
6:35
Fun fact that I've heard (might be wrong but I'm pretty sure its true)
The eye being open was actually an animation error at first, but the animators and directors liked it being open so much that they kept it.
But there are also a lot of characters besides dragons, they are so well written, and villains are awesome (fun fact: fandom's favourite villain is from "Race to the edge" and i couldn't agree more, man is terrifying, and the villain from the third movie is a discount version of him lmao)
tv series is so underrated, many people doesn't even know it exist or just doesn't want to watch it but it is really worth it, not only new characters but also a lot of easter eggs, crazy plot twists, and a lot of characters shown from a better angle, twins aren't as stupid as you may think, and Snotlout is just broken, that's why he acts like an asshole, you will also see how events from rtte influenced Hiccup, he lost his mind so many times during rtte.
I’ve just found you but I freaking loooove your reactions! This is literally my FAVORITE movie and I am so excited
Hey!! Just wanted to let you know that I recently started watching your vids and you are very quickly becoming a comfort RUclipsr for me :) I love your personality and the fun way you edit videos. Thanks for being you! Can't wait to watch more of your vids in the future!
TIME TO WATCH THE SECOND AND THIRD ONE
5:46 Craig Ferguson plays Gobber the blacksmith. I love what he does with the character. I loved when he had his late night talk show on CBS
