I visited many of those when I visited last spring. Portugal dos Pequenitos was fun even as an adult! There’s also a good place where I had breakfast right around the corner.
Aviero is only ~45 minutes away by train or car from Coimbra. Easily doable as a day trip. Aveiro is a cool town but Coimbra has many more things to do. Of the two you will want to budget more time to be in Coimbra.

Gonna be there for a day in November, going to sertã to check out some land. Looks cool
You will probably love it out there. I haven't stopped but I've driven out there recently. Very pretty countryside.
