I love how this short actually acknowledges that Uncle Ben never actually DID say the “Responsibility” line in the original comic. It was a narration box after Peter caught Uncle Ben’s killer that people always quoted. It was retconned into something Uncle Ben said later on.
Edit: Ok so people are making a fuss over my word choice in the replies. Let me clarify. One way or the other, the idea of Uncle Ben being the one who coined the famous phrase was established later in Spider-Man’s comic history, and was eventually used as the baseline for famous adaptations like the 90s cartoon, Sam Raimi movies, and so on.

The IRS is not beholden to SHIELD.
SHIELD itself is weird. I remember when it was a sort of police unit of the UN, but now it is part of the USA government? The Pentagon office in Hollywood said they couldn't advise on the MCU because they didn't know how to fit SHIELD into their organigram.
Anyway, if SHIELD is based in the USA in any way, it is beholden to the IRS, not the other way around.

I promise that rich people have dozens, if not hundreds, of different tricks to work around the IRS. Heck, Tony Stark could literally just give Peter a well-paying job, with good health benefits, that only exists on paper, and no one would question it as long as Peter wasn't paid too much money.

Spiderman is a Superman parody. Both work for a newspaper while having superpowers. Both wear red and blue.
Nobody knows what Clark Kent is doing or what the Daily Planet is paying him for, or how much they are paying him. He occasionally answers the phone, and he seems to have acted as a bodyguard for some of his colleagues when doing field work, but most of the time he's not even in the office. But he has superpowers.
Peter Parker has superpowers. He's a photoreporter freelancing for the Daily Bugle, he gets paid a pittance which barely covers rent and groceries. His free time is spent cooking up glue and mending his costume. He's a university dropout because arresting petty criminals doesn't leave him much time to study. He's not even a good photographer at first.

Wells had all of Peter's birthday party guests scolding him because he came to where they were holding the surprise party (that he didn't know about) earlier than they expected. Even Flash, who knows Peter is Spider-Man, and should have known better.
Yeah. It was clearly meant to be funny, but it just came off as mean-spirited, especially since some of the guests were actually glaring at him for unintentionally ruining their surprise. Oh, and the bad guy Peter was fighting earlier (a super intelligent robot) figured out who he was, and wished him a Happy Birthday even as Spider-Man pulled the plug on him. MJ could not be bothered to wish him a Happy Birthday, but his enemy, an artificial lifeform who he was essentially killing by shutting them down, still did!
