    • @Galv140577
      @Galv140577 5 лет назад +14

@@raisamahi1006 The air you breath out is heaver than the air you breath in because that is how your body gets rid of the carbon and hydrogen from your food. Carbo-hydrates (sugars) and hydro-carbons (fats) break down and get released from your lungs as carbon dioxide (CO2), and H2O (water) or water vapour. You don't have to do anything to lose weight except breath the oxygen in so that when you breath it out again it carries the weight with it. Just stop eating for long enough so that you get past feeling hungry, then you go into ketosis, which is the state where you've run out of glucose and your body starts breaking down fat cells instead. Ketone energy is highly efficient, it enables you to do incredible things mentally and physically. To get it you have to get past being hungry until you stop feeling hungry even though you haven't eaten anything. Don't do it for too long though because you also need protein, vitamins, minerals and essential fats from food, not just the energy.

That was for me the beginning of the change in understanding.

I started watching your channel around 5 weeks ago, have to say the fasting is working! I love that fact that by 7pm I don't eat anything more, i never wake up in the morning hungry, by around 1pm or longer, im ready to eat. I also do the abdominal exercisers you recommend, my core is so much tighter. In the week I walk 4 miles a day, (split into two 40 minutes walking time). At the weekends I do 1 hour a day of strengthening, stretching etc exercisers. Your videos are so interesting and educational. I have shared your channel with family and friends, with the comment, watch and learn! It's about being healthy, feeling better, aswell as looking better. They've seen the change in me and its inspired them. Thank you 🥰

OUTSTANDING! Even though the title of this video pertained to belly fat, I would say this is one of the most thorough videos encompassing all the most important principles of good health and a healthy diet!
Having been a registered dietitian since 1982 I am speaking from the great deal of education and experience. I think Dr Ekberg is incredibly good at explaining principles that can get complicated. But you don't have to be a doctor or a dietitian or a scientist to understand his points. I love that he speaks in a very down-to-earth way and that he shares research as a way to support his statements.
I totally agree that fat phobia, due to a lot of misinformation that came out starting in the 80s, has really caused people to be incredibly afraid of eating fats.
As Dr Ekberg emphasized, the quality of what we eat is just as important as what we eat. Especially when it comes to fat it's extremely important to understand that not all fat is the same in terms of how it affects our bodies.
Food sources that come from nature are good for us. Food that comes from a laboratory are not good for us. That's the bottom line. Understanding how our body uses protein, carbohydrates, and fat can make eating healthy much easier.
Dr Ekberg definitely knows his stuff! Thank you so much Dr Ekberg for all of your important videos!

Bear in mind that the FDA work together to make many foods high salt, high sugar & high addiction based. Once people are addicted to such unhealthy foods & diets, they develop diseases which they then seek pharmaceuticals to treat. By following the "food pyramid" that the FDA deceptively puts out, people end up funding Big Pharma - as they start, & then have to stay on Big Pharma's "medicines," for years ... IF they don't learn the truth But, those "medicines" are only partial bandaids (if that), & the meds themselves cause many problems & illnesses in people, ultimately leading to death. Notice the name: FOOD & DRUG ADMINISTRATION. They work together, & It is NOT for the health of the people.

I was a sceptic, but I kept watching Dr Ekberg’s videos, and I’ve come to realise his advice is at root quite non-controversial. Cutting sugar from breakfast and lunch and reducing at dinner time is something everyone can and should do. The twist is realising how close starch is to sugar, amd cutting carbs more generally. Personally I’ve cut most (not all) bread from breakfast and lunch and the weight is falling off at a remarkable pace. And that’s the only change I’ve made.

Cuts cleanly thru all the hyped-up junk and deals with science, nutrition and our basic biology. And he breaks everything down in such a way that you don't have to have a medical background to understand it. HUGE Appreciation for all his time and effort!!

As a 100-lb, 61" H, 80-year old woman, I'd like to have guidelines on the number of calories required for proper weight and what my weight should be.
I eat two large meals of healthful foods a day, with an occasional binge of sweets that I always regret eating. I watched your video that mentioned the amount of exercise that I should have.
Thanks, Dr Ekberg for your informative and concise videos.

I am still floored that I bought into the low fat myth for all those years, and just got fatter. I still have a long way to go toward getting healthy, but I am heading that way. I'm down about 60 lbs from LCHF. It's just frightening when I grew up thinking you could trust the "experts." Kind of don't know who to believe. Although I know cutting carbs and eating healthy fat works, based on my personal experiences in recent months.

Thanks for posting that comment Donna. I'm just getting started on LCHF after 30 years as a Type 2 diabetic. I've really put on weight since insulin was prescribed a few years ago, even though I was eating a strict ADA diet. So far, after about a month of LCHF I'm having a much easier time regulating blood sugar while using half the insulin. I have about 75 pounds to lose, all of which packed on since I returned to the US, where the doc's first thought was the needle, all on about 1800 calories a day. It did fix the blood sugar numbers, but made me as big as a house. I was told that this would be my reality until I died.
Comments like yours let me know that there is a very real possibility that this might work for me. Thanks again.

@@PPISAFETY Definitely will work. I am a carb addict but lchf stops the cravings I have lost 23 Ibs in 12 weeks. Recently moved to carnivore diet which is even better. We don't need one single carb they are not essential like protein and fat are. I now eat real food not junk food and I feel far better. Once your body is getting the proper nutrition it's not constantly wanting something else to eat. I now look upon trans fats, sugar and flour as poisonous to my body.

I've known about low carb culture for a while but you're the first person I know of to break it down in such detail, and to tackle the matter of insulin resistance. Now I'm confident to say that I really know how that system works. Thank you again, very much.

I grew up on margarine because my parents thought it was way healthier than butter, and they never allowed butter in the house except for special occasions. Always thought of it as the sad alternative to butter, and was more than happy to kick it to the curb once I lived on my own... parents still living a sad margarine life.
