A great message by these two talented artists. Lindsey also does makeup, costumes and set designs. I also see a parallel to "Happy" by NF, with her being comfortable feeling trapped, afraid to see what else there is
From what I know, this reflects Lindsey's battle w/ eating disorders. So a bit autobiographical. Lzzy is ridiculously perfect for this song, too. Love it. The full CD is awesome. ;)
Been a Halestorm and Lzzy Hale fan for a long time. Found this song because of Lzzy, and it was my introduction to Lindsay, it's still my favorite of hers. Lindsay toured with Evanescence several years ago, performing this song with Amy Lee. You still should check out a Halestorm original, I Am the Fire or I Miss the misery are good starting points. Lzzy has done numerous collaborations over the years, recently she joined Daughtry to cover Journey's Separate Ways.
Love this song. It is fantastic. Lindsey and Lizzy make a great duet. The lyrics are about Lindsey's struggle with an eating disorder and how she has beat it. Both ladies had concerts in Illinois, Lindsey in Chicago, and Lizzy here in Joliet, south and west of Chicago about 20 or so miles, didn't get to see them. I was so sad I couldn't go. I relate with Lindsey with her struggles, I have a broken back and still in great pain had to use pain meds, very hard to get rid of the heavy narcotics. I use a medication that doesn't get you high. Anyone who has to fight with any addiction can relate to this song. I thank Lindsey and Lizzy to make this song. It's like a theme song for me. Thank you for showing it. Your reaction was awesome. If you haven't seen Phil Collins In the Air Tonight, there's a great live version it can blow your mind. It's another song that can touch your soul. Check out Genesis, many great songs, Pink Floyd album Momentary Lapse of Reason.. Sorrow is great.
I know this song very well, couse it was the favorite song of my daughter for about half a year. At this time she was only 5 and had no idea what the song was about besides she doesn't understand a single english word. That couldn't stop her from dancing and celebrating this song. It still gets her moving and make her eyes sparkle with the joy of life today(she's 8 by now). So even if u dont understand a single word, the music alone is able to reach and touch you. Thanks for this reaction on a phenomenal song and your view on this hard topic. PS: The song is still in my playlist. Of course i like it, but the smile on the face of my daughter when this song starts its priceless.
When Lindsey started her YT channel, she was doing music videos with no lyrics because she was not a singer (I LOVE her video for Shadows Dance; the video is a must because she does dance. Even if there are no lyrics, please watch the video anyway). She eventually worked on her vocals too, so these days she does have songs and videos where she does sing. A true professional, constantly improving her craft. :)
Everytime I listen to Lindsey her violin speaks I almost hear words from it. Anytime I'm feeling down I play some of Lindsay's music and it makes me feel I absolutely adore her Artemis series.
I really love this one I have a special place in my heart for Lindsey and Lizzy they both are so very talented at what they do and the two of them together is just beautiful thanks for this beautiful springtime ride as always your ride or die forever Eyyyy Oooo
Two very kind and generous artists. They both love what they do, and just want to share their talents. I recommend checking out Lzzy more with Halestorm, the "Wicked Ways" live in Colorado Springs showcase her skills as a singer and her audience interaction. The amount of rasp she uses sounds as if her chords must be shredding.
OMG! hardly anyone has been reacting to this. Thank goodness someone is. I love both of those performers. Lindsey and Lzzy are both amazing. This video is the absolute bomb! My favorite. Anything Lindsey Stirling does is magical. Please MORE!
The Hale and Sterling collab is glorious! It brings me to tears every time. 🙂 I also think Rosalie would LOVE Wardruna feat Aurora, the songHelvegene liive, but I don't use Patreon... Hoping someone can make this request
Saw Lindsey live...phenomenal performance. Since I was getting past my addiction (nicotine for over 35 years), yes, I teared up when she played Shattered Me. Have been nicotine-free for over 5 and a half years. Partial thanks to Lindsey.
Great reaction to Lindsay and Lizzie ,there's a young protégé of hers you should react to Karolina Protsenko she also sings, the Kelly Clarkson show had both on where they surprised Karolina with meeting her idol and then they played a duet.
Hello. Very excellent reaction. Here is how Lindsey started... When Lindsey was about 5 years old, her father would take Her family (mom and 2 sisters) to free orchestral concerts in the city. Lindsey said that the first-chair violinist always tuned the orchestra and got the big solos. She saw that as being the Star of the show. Lindsey would beg her parents for violin and dance lessons. They could not afford both, so after going to one class each, she decided on the violin. Lindsey started with a rented violin because they couldn’t afford one. And since age 6 (1992), she has been violining to this day, (30 years). She was trained in Classic Violin for the first 12 years. Then one day in High School, she needed money for college, so she entered the Arizona Junior Miss Pageant. She noticed that around 6 other violinists were competing. She wanted to win, so she added dance to her playing. She wanted to entertain and perform, not just impress everyone. ruclips.net/video/SIp_Q4DQ8uU/видео.html Of course, she won. After that, she decided to play the music she likes. She started adding hip-hop, then EDM, then dubstep. She has always practiced her violining...half an hour to an hour, 6 days a week. After she would practice, she would reward herself by playing something she wanted. She has said the key is perseverance. Actually, she learned how to dance through RUclips videos when she was 23 years old (2009). Growing up, Lindsey and her 2 sisters would dance to the Classical records their parents would play. Lindsey has always loved to dance. Lindsey was on Dancing With The Stars and Dance Showdown. And Lindsey has had about a week of Tap and a week of Ballet. Lindsey also learned a little from friends and choreographers. Lindsey was born to dance. 😂 And I have collected some RUclips videos that you might like... (You need not react to them.) ruclips.net/video/cndu4g_s55s/видео.html ruclips.net/video/iXp2IsZJ4-0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/aZJfuwLojU0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/TyAdwmH00i8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/qD5dKYebRII/видео.html ruclips.net/video/yrb4MRh3qwE/видео.html ruclips.net/video/G50qHdPLh34/видео.html
First off love the new area, office space, wherever you call it. Audio is great. I first listened to this song when it came out because I'm a huge fan of Lzzy, which got me listening to Lindsay. Great song, all the way around. Lzzy's voice, the lyrics, the music, the vid
Great reaction as always. It just occurred to me in this video that you have never heard/reacted to Lzzy's band Halestorm or The Pretty Reckless. Imo two best vocalist and deep lyricist in decades if not ever. I will be looking into getting you some coffee just so you can experience them and maybe the rest of the channel also.
Ohhh I love Lindsey Stirling Edit: I did click on it cuz I love Lindsey lol My Mom used to play the violin so I have that internal connection to that sound. But the way she can just speak the emotion thru the sound of the violin
Love this!! Please do more Lindsey Stirling! Her music is amazing and videos incredible. Something that'd be interesting to react to is a two-fold video reaction to Crystallize and a behind-the-scenes video to working up to that song called Home For The Holidays - Hair Hanging Vlog. She puts herself through it to do a hair-hanging dance in the music video for Crystallize and seeing her struggle and push through makes the video all the more powerful!!
Try Lindsay Sterling with Pentatonix covering Imagine Dragons' song "Radioactive" for more of her beautiful violin and ballet-inspired dance. Also try Lzzy Hale and Amy Lee "Break In" for a showcase of each woman's amazing vocal skills. All three women are remarkable talents.
The amusing note about this song is Lindsey originally wrote it with Amy Lee in mind as the lead vocalist, but she wasn't able to get her then Idol (and now dear friend) for the Album Recording and initial live performances... Lyndsey & Amy are "besties" now, and have since performed SHATTER ME together along with Lzzy! You should try Lindsey's collaborations with Amy Lee and Evanescence in "Love Goes On & On" and "Hi-Lo"... 🙏😎
I loved the song and the video and especially that amazing violin... I wasn't expecting that at all. But the truth about your reaction video is that I love your commentary even more, Rosalie, than the song and video. Thank you for the inspiration and the hope. Choose life. Beautiful.
I really like it when they sang it at Sirius XM Studio. You really should react to Amy Lee and Lzzy singing Break In . FYI Dany from The Warning also sings Break In. Amy Lee and Lindsay also do a video together.Lindsay was on America's got Talent but didn't make it. To bad she proved them wrong. Lzzy and Lindsay did this song on America's got Talent
Lindsey is an amazing violinist, that's true, but when you see her play Crystalize (Home For the Holidays) is way beyond amazing!!!!! You have to watch it. You can't find it on her RUclips channel.
I loved your comments on the song! You should check out the song "Lost Girls", kind of a part 2 to this song... what happens after you break free from whatever your struggle is. You don't need to film a reaction to it, I just thought it would be nice to check out Lindsey's vision. Her videos always tell a beautiful story.
(Edit: Black Violin request follows) I like the audio and background in your new set. Absolutely love me some Lindsey Stirling. As a young one, I decided I needed to learn the violin. I absolutely love the instrument. I didn’t play it for long. Was muchly self taught in my teens and played last chair 2nd violin in a youth orchestra for a year in my senior year of high school. Shortly after went overseas for work (not musical, my violin got damaged in the move) for years. And of course Lzzy Hale is legend. There is is not a a violin piece I don’t love, I think. I’d love to see your reaction to Black Violin. Not sure what song. Just something of their Taking the Stairs album. You’ve probably heard a song from them and not realized it. But, seriously a great couple folks, seriously great music.
Lindsey Stirling is an amazing artist, I love her, loved her music for a very long time. Also with Lzzy Hale the lead singer and lead guitarist for Halestorm, her voice is amazing. If you haven't heard much of Lzzy's music with her band. You seem to be some kind of therapist, you would love I Am The Fire by Halestorm.
I do believe that at the first sight that she had of the butterfly there was a shadow of a bat and it the last site as it was flying away there was another shadow of a bat. Now I'm not sure what the imagery is meant to but for me it was how your talk to be afraid to go out and be yourself then the butterfly is seeing and it's about being yourself and then going away that to the fear of what might be beyond.
Lindsey Stirling is great, and I love Lzzy Hale's voice. Two extremely talented humans! Lindsey also did a song more recently with Amy Lee from Evanescence that you might also like, it's called Love Goes On and On ruclips.net/video/cDlGFbBipCo/видео.html
The parts that I call "voilin drops," (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about) are amazing. Experiencing the song, like you say, I like to be thinking about the things that stress me, and when the "drop" hits, you let it all go and just fall into the music. VERY THERAPEUTIC!
I really think you should watch her hair hanging vlog first. It puts her performance into perspective!!! She even had me in tears! I am so proud and grateful that she did what she did and gave us all a true master piece of art!!!!
I'm actually pretty lucky as an adult because I was picked on when I was little so I got to the stage where I didn't care about what other people thought quicker than most people I haven't even reached 50 yet and I already don't care so I do listen to her and dance and scream at the top of my lungs and probably sound like a dying donkey 😂😂😂 but it is definitely cathartic. You always bring up such interesting points I actually really enjoyed the after the music talk.
and for the sake of good music check out the fantastic anna von hausswolff, for example with "stranger" live or "funeral for my future children" live with her band. if you fancy something more sophisticated try "how many more of these?" or "they hoped for a name/delta sleep" which she recorded for the royal swedish ballet and the midsummernights dream, music by mikael karlsson. or fancy some eerie music videos? "come wander with me", "the mysterious vanishing of electra" or probably "evocation"?
Once you have been "shattered" what next? Lindsey explores that theme in her follow-up video: "Lost Girls". Not only is Lindsey a musician she is also a great visual storyteller. Lots of subtle details sprinkled throughout the video that could prompt many different topics for discussion.
Loved your reaction! Might have dozed off a bit toward the end. Sorry. Lindsey's' a good choice for a therapist. Well, she's a good choice for anyone as most all her songs are uplifting, there's a lot of messages in her work. Btw, the 'clock' mechanism was symbolic of her being in a wind-up music box/ snow globe that symbolized that she was trapped in a world of perfection, driven by the eating disorders desire for perfection. They were winding the mechanism of the music box. This was, I believe, her first attempt at writing lyrics and she pretty much nailed it, .During the recording session, Lzzy came out of the booth and asked about the lyrics and once informed, went back in and blew the doors off. There's two BTS for that. Lindsey could be considered, if she wasn't having so much fun, mildly OCD in that she wears almost all the hats with regard to her work. She writes, arranges, story--boards, directs, choreographs, makes the costumes and edits all her videos. She just has a vision for her product and she's the only one who can achieve it. Multi-hyphenate doesn't come close. Multi-hyphenate at work, bts. ruclips.net/video/q6G81I2T7Fw/видео.html
I would like to suggest a reaction and analysis on Arch Enemy - No More Regrets. It should not take much time, but complexicity is not always the best way to go with. 🤷♂️😅 To me the combination of wise lyrics, fast music and infernal growl works as a perfect drain valve for emotional steam. 🥳
I had to look up existentialism because although I have said I'm an existentialist before I wasn't sure exactly knew what the definition was so I looked it up kind of I kind of believe that we have levels and that we have to achieve certain goals or we go backwards. Kind of like school you know? And although I do believe fate and destiny can play a role in a person's life the ultimate decider is the person and how they respond to situations or react to situations when we learn to control our reactions and responses that's how I see directing the self will.
Ok, the farther back I go in your videos, the more "in love" I am with you. A psychologist? No wonder I like your reaction videos. You have some grey matter between your ears! As I was scrolling down, I was hoping to find something covering the Hu, and you mentioned them in this video, so I will keep digging.
Hey, please do Deichkind - In der Natur. It's a really funny german song and I would love to see you react to it :) The song is about how modern young and hip city Germans think about nature when they are exposed to it for real.
Excellent song choice! 5 coffees just went your way! I know for a fact it's not enough but, every little bit right? Btw the video and sound quality were great!
Honestly I shove the thrift stores because of new clothes don't last like the old clothes did I am hard on my clothing I do hard physical labor for work night shift worker I haul a lot of heavy U-boats spot product and stock shelves frequently on your knees and I need good sturdy clothing these new brands no no almost nothing is made in America anymore and it all sucks in my opinion. I am going to try Adam Calhoun's clothing, but I honestly wish we could get back into making our own stuff and not relying so much upon every other country for our goods. It's not healthy to just consume consume consume. It's kind of why I chose hard job because I needed to feel productive in a world that is all about consumption here in the West
Since you talked about "caged" .. this is one of my favorites from Lindsey : Lindsey Stirling - Song of the Caged Bird (Official Music Video) ruclips.net/video/inb8MMZ-QmA/видео.html
Rosalie - I love your reactions, always have. Most of the time I don’t comment, just “stealth watch”. This time though - you were so moved by the music, representation, etc. - I though I’d send a link. Something tells me you’ll *really* enjoy this. It’s a wonderful behind-the-scenes backstory of how this collaboration came about. ruclips.net/video/mScIUPI0cfk/видео.html

Love it. The full CD is awesome. ;)

I was the opposite! A friend introduced me to Lindsey Sterling and I eventually ended up watching "Shatter Me" and finding Halestorm
Thank you for showing it. Your reaction was awesome.
If you haven't seen Phil Collins In the Air Tonight, there's a great live version it can blow your mind. It's another song that can touch your soul.

I would like to suggest a reaction and analysis on Arch Enemy - No More Regrets.
It should not take much time, but complexicity is not always the best way to go with. 🤷♂️😅
To me the combination of wise lyrics, fast music and infernal growl works as a perfect drain valve for emotional steam.
Please do more reactions to Lindsey Stirling!
Rosalie, I'd love to hear your analysis of James Blunt - Monsters. I think there's a lot there from a emotional/mental health perspective.
It's time for you to discover Band-Maid. you really should. Freedom live will make you smile.
Hey, please do Deichkind - In der Natur. It's a really funny german song and I would love to see you react to it :)
The song is about how modern young and hip city Germans think about nature when they are exposed to it for real.
Lindsey Stirling was cutted on AGT audition years ago.. A good revenge
Excellent song choice! 5 coffees just went your way! I know for a fact it's not enough but, every little bit right? Btw the video and sound quality were great!
Thank you very much!!! It is much. And greatly appreciated. Thank you also for the feedback on the audio and video :)

Since you talked about "caged" .. this is one of my favorites from Lindsey :

Rosalie - I love your reactions, always have. Most of the time I don’t comment, just “stealth watch”. This time though - you were so moved by the music, representation, etc. - I though I’d send a link. Something tells me you’ll *really* enjoy this. It’s a wonderful behind-the-scenes backstory of how this collaboration came about.

your time is running out? then hurry up and do another eivor reaction before it's too late, girl!
You talk way too much..focus on how the music makes you feel. The first 5 minutes were you talking. Sorry but this is a response video.
