Your video confirms for me what I suspected which was that the response to a young child's death is different from the response to an adult child's death, especially when it is a death that indicates a more complex issue . In my case, my son passed at 20 from an accidental overdose. There was never a flood of support in our case. In parent support groups it can seem that parents describe a life that was perfect until their child died. In our case, we had been dealing with a lot for many years and the drug use was a symptom not the core problem. As far as the parent's feelings go, this holds true for me as well. Also and introvert, but have become even more. Sorry for your loss. ♥

I'm so sorry for you, as well. You make an excellent point, and many of the grievers in my child loss support group have had similar situations to yours and feel the same way. They feel a distinct lack of support and many struggled for years. Hugs to you. ❤️

I'm sorry about your loss of your adult son. You know I've been doing research about the topic of depression and suicide and I've also found that suicide and depression for middle aged men and women is under research and doesn't get a lot of media attention compared to when a young girl or woman commits suicide.

My Grandson passed away in March from an accidental overdose. I feel like I lost my child because I looked after him so much at the beginning of his Life. The grief is unbelievable ❤ One thing I know is that no one is exempt from these drugs It doesn't matter how much money you have or what your status is in your community it can happen to anyone. My heart breaks for you. A lot of people have no idea we are having a drug crisis at this time!

Wonderful ideas! My least favorite gift was floral arrangements because I felt guilty that they died. I know they meant well and I was appreciative so I didn’t say anything negative. 💕
