- Recently I bought a guitar I've wanted since I could play guitar: a Flying V! To break it in, my friend Jacob and I recorded a full band cover of "For Whom The Bell Tolls" by Metallica! I hope you enjoy it!
Tone Tools:
Guitar: Epiphone Prophecy Flying V
Amp: Fractal Axe FX III (Mesa Boogie 2C++ model)
Bass: Fender Jazz Bass with humbuckers
Bass Tone: Neural DSP Parallax
Drums: Getgood Drums P IV Library
Better production than Metallica, what a tone
This video deserves many more views than it has gotten. I think its excellent.

Dang YT forgot to notify me of everything that has came out since the Kintsugi video. Looks like I’ll be busy catching up for a while.
Great job as always and it’s good to hear Jacob too.
cool
How do you like the V
I might even say you guys slayed this song better than Metallica
Is this guitar well balanced? I hear neck dive, and that's the only thing holding me back.
There is a bit of dive. I found that I adjusted pretty quickly to it. I'm using the DiMarzio Clip Lock strap which is a pretty slick material, so that doesn't do much to help stop the dive. I think if I were using a leather strap it would stay put nicely.
I would definitely still recommend the guitar despite the dive though. It's really killer and super comfy.
@@spencerkienzle5169 i have those dunlop straps the ones with the trippy art on them, i specifically use the white version on this exact V and it got rid of all the neck dive. NOW idk if it really was the strap but the strap i had on before was giving a whole lotta dive, but as soon as i changed it for that dunlop one, all types of dive was eliminated sooo idk
5150s are the shit wish I dont live in an apartment
