Erica Johnson what are they going to do in the sequel? Concoct a brilliant plan to steal the crown jewels while evading scotland yard so they can ... move somewhere else and buy another bar?
You almost got it all right. Only part that was incorrect was they use the money from the stadium robbery in the beginning of the movie to put in the boxes for exchange not money from quicken loans. They say this in the beginning when they have the pallet of $. Something like “this $ is good but it’s traceable, wouldn’t you rather have 30 mill clean” other than that great video!
Explain to me how they ended up with 30 million if they only brought in a million and he was picking money out of the very box that he came in. That part makes no sense to me. At best it looks like they laundered a very small fraction of the money they brought in with great risk and effort.
It's good to see the background characters get the justice they deserve. Throughout the whole movie it was constantly focused on the driver being the snitch, with the background characters not doing much. But in the end the main characters were just pawns of his own scheme. It's similar to usual suspects and I really enjoyed the turn around, only near the end did I start putting the pieces together and realize just before it was revealed that he was the master mind of the whole operation.
I'm still confused about.. *Who was driving what rubbish truck? *When was the actual money taken out of the real rubbish truck?? And by whom? *Did Merrimen & his crew never check inside the black bags they ended up with ??
1)The white russian looking guy at the london bar, Alexi. If you rewatched it, youll see there are 2 garbage truck drivers. The one exiting the reserve with the money and the one who got taken over by the main crew. Both drivers were apart of the 2nd team, the Alexi had the money, tipped his hat to Bas(the other driver), then took a right turn instead of a left. Bas replaced him by taking the fake garbage truck down the street where the main team followed it and "robbed" it. 2) Alexi took was the garbage truck with the real money and its assumed he just drove off and packaged the money with the 2nd crew another day. 3) Im guessing they didnt want to rip open the bags cause it would spill, they were in a rush, and/or they didnt expect to be double crossed.

Just a minor correction. The money they brought into the reserve ($2.7 mil) with the cart came from the stadium heist of the rave (the only part of that heist shown was when they were cleaning up the money and looking for the dye packs). They didn’t take any money from the Savings and Loan.
So why didn't the security guy at the end stop the delivery guy when he got the call from the Woman in the break room? He got up with his Walkie Talkie and then we never see him again. Nick winds up stopping the guy.
the directing and suspense build up was definitely there. The ending was a little confusing so I looked up your breakdown. Not bad for 50 cents shot at a movie. well made good cast fairly believable. I feel like there were some elements of a few other movies. All in all it was a decent flick. Kept my attention. Nice breakdown btw it clarified everything I had questions regarding.
There was no need to deliver the old Chinese food. There was no need for the Chinese food, on the day of the heist. He could have left without delivering food.
Ken Wells yes because he went through the air vent he had to have an excuse to have been inside the federal reserve building, so pretending like he was there with Chinese food
Actually I think all you are wrong here. He needed to deliver it because he wanted to get "burned" by the lady calling in the guard and then the security reporting to cop stop the guy in red shirt. That way he never makes it to the shoot out with the fake 💰 in saburban to get shot.
Ken Wells Then what was the reason for his being back in the building? He needed a ploy in a high security building. He risked it at the end, pretending to have signed in, when he came in through a tunnel, and was sweaty.
@@charleysturbos7320 No, It was clear that his real crew and him werent expecting to be burned. As he was walking up to the hacker, he got jumped by the cops. If he didnt then the hacker and him wouldve just drove off since the real money was already in their hands. They can just dip on the 1st crew and leave them running with nothing.
2:15 He doesn't want to say because he got it from a B-list comedy movie called Mad Money (Starring Queen Latifah & Diane Keaton). Robbing the Fed of its old money is literally the entire plot of that movie.
So you're telling me they were operators and never thought having an sniper on overwatch? The shootout should've ended with police either dead or wounded and bad guys living for a sequel.
They didn't expect the traffic jam. They thought they were in the clear. Why would they have a sniper watching a random stretch of road? You'd only know where the firefight would be located in hindsight. It would be really awkward if they hired sniper, but he was 4 blocks way because its just randomly guessing where you might get caught outside your plan.
@@hamsterfromabove8905 the exit route should be planned and a sniper covering providing cover, also an operetor has seen way more action and far better equipped to handle a firefight against an under trained police officer
@@makatron Okay well say the exit route was planned...where along the route would they know where to plant the sniper. That traffic jam couldve happened anywhere. Also they dont like to shoot people unless they have to. They began the shootout cause they were trapped in a corner and had no choice.
The audition was something that Donnie said happened but that can be a lie to help his cover. The only scene that lets you know something else is up with Donnie and Merriment is that once Nick lets it know that he knows Donnie, Merriment didn’t just shoot him and get a new driver. Instead he plays a scene out for the gang and makes it seem like Donnie is now going to lure Nick into a trap
What pissed me off is when merriman was giving oshea a lesson in firemams operation. It's like he conveniently forgot that they were all forward-deployed Marines that have seen combat. like why are you going to give him the most basic common sense instructions on a rifle...'Every Marine, is a Rifleman' sorry maybe it's just the grunt in me that was bothered by that scene. Also that intimidation seen before the prom was so cringy and cheesy.
After hearing Gerard say in the trailer “your not the bad guys...we are” I was expecting the twist to be Gerard and his men stealing the money from them at the end. But there was really nothing bad about them....
You got to watch it again you explaining key parts wrong don’t know if your doing it on purpose or not but your viewers deserve the true nature of the movie
At the end you clearly didn't realize that the driving scene didn't actually happen. It was a lie that Donnie told the cops just to get out of the situation. In fact, every flashback scene where Donnie was talking to Nick was a lie. He never auditioned for Merriman, he was in control the whole time. You also didn't notice that there were people in the Federal Reserve working for Donnie as well. That's why he was able to walk out the building without checking in, the guard was in on the robbery as well. The only reason the guard even mentioned Donnie not checking in was to convey this fact to the audience. Both parties had plausible deniability, as the guard could just say it was an honest mistake, he didn't see him, etc. and Donnie can claim that he was just doing his job as a delivery man. The ladies who ordered the Chinese food were also working for Donnie. That's why they "conveniently" ordered the same food as before. The movie doesn't show this, but one could reasonably assume that the restaurant that Donnie "works" for is in on the robbery as well, and they could even have him clocked in at the time. And Chinese food places usually don't have cameras either, so Donnie has the perfect alibi. Also, the cops would be too preoccupied with the aftermath of the shootout with Merriman and crew to investigate the Federal Reserve building and figure out how Donnie did it. By the time they did that, Donnie, the guard, the Chinese-food-eating ladies, and the guys inside the Federal Reserve were out the country. The only unrealistic thing is that Donnie and crew flee to England. They should've picked a country that doesn't extradite criminal suspects to the US. Maybe Donnie is good enough at creating a new fake identity to still get away with it, but it's iffy. Somewhere in South America would've made more sense to flee to after committing such a high profile crime. The one thing I can't defend, though, is the Nick sending his GF a text he meant to send the stripper. It was cheesy, hard to believe, and wasn't even necessary for the story. If they needed a reason for him getting divorced, why not just have one of his wife's friends from the dinner catch him cheating and tell her? That also would've made Nick's douchey behavior at the Divorce paper signing dinner seem more justified. He seemed like an abusive stalker at that dinner and it made it impossible for me to root for him.
I knew what I was getting into with this movie so I enjoyed it. I wanted guns and gangsters and I got that. And the twist at the end was pretty good. I wasn’t expecting a tour de force film but I had fun with this.
I wanted to like the movie but so many plot holes it was hard to enjoy it. Like Gerard was a great detective but he gets caught cheating by sending the wrong message that’s a rookie move. Also after he realized the wasn’t in the bank how the hell did he know exactly where ice cube Jr was.
Saw Cube Jr. enter the Fed. Res. as delivery guy. After figuring out the bank was a wild goose chase, take their chances at the Fed. Res. First guy they recognize - Cube Jr. "It's clobberin' time" Cube Jr's ass out of frustration
So many stupid people in the comment section. I thought the ending was pretty clear cut and easy to follow. Too many social media brats who don't know how to use their own thought process.
The penning scene was captivating but the stupidest part was merrimen getting mad at the other guy for shooting the armored car security. Made zero sense. Was he not suppose to shoot?
i didnt get it at the scene when Donnie was walking out the Federal bank at the end, and the two ladies were complaining about the food, why didnt his team member girl "which we dont know that until the end" didnt stop her friend from calling the security to buy him some time to run away???
Haithere it was all part of the plan so the the bad cop squad could get him; then drive to his fake crew to kill them and switch the money with fake money while the two groups we're fighting
The fake crew never had the real money from the get go you see this when the garbage truck with white guy driving real money leaves and crosses another garbage truck driven by asian guy they make eye contact white gives him the signal to swap routes and the movie was solved from their for me atleast...back to the point though the guard at the front desk works for horsepower the chicks call was a signal to go to next plan and that was to get horsepower caught by the police wich he calls thus how they located him so fast. You can see all the characters of the real crew in the soccer photo shown toward the end and watch for them threw out the movie.
naughts52 yea I was initially confused as to when and how the shredded money happened but then I remembered the trucks. The bad guys hijacked the wrong one. It would've been nice if they had realized the money was no good while trying to get away. Lol
@@naughts52 The real crew is only made up of 3 others. Alex and Bas were the garbage truck drivers(alexi had the money, bas was decoy for the main crew), the flirty girl who consistently ordered food, and the somoan who was hacking. He couldnt just enter the vents to get in , he just used the vents to get to the bathroom and his carry out bag he left. It wasn't a perfect movie but I dont agree with your view that this movie was full of plot holes... just my opinion and thanks for the video.
The twist clearly went over his head. The lobby guard at the Fed, the black dudes in the money room, the women ordering Chinese food, all worked for Donnie and were in on the robbery. And Donnie never had that driving audition, he made the story up. WOOSH right over his head lol
If he was able to get into the bathroom from the vent then he also could have gotten into the count room from the vent making the trip inside the box pointless.
John Jacob .... ooo im sorry I didn't know you had the blueprints of the vent system loool, this is your opinion with nothing to back it up kind sir. Again any movie has its flaws but just didn't think this movie was full of plot holes like mentioned. Calvin Workman so is this movie
this guy made this video just cause he needed content for the day, probably
You basically got it. Its Heat with a dab of Point Break and Bad Boys with a Usual Suspects ending. Its a good set up for a sequal. Random thought: Did you notice that Oshea Jackson Jr. gets beat up in all his movies?
Erica Johnson what are they going to do in the sequel? Concoct a brilliant plan to steal the crown jewels while evading scotland yard so they can ... move somewhere else and buy another bar?
Neffariousnyc That sounds like a cool movie. With Iris Elba in the 50 Cents role. Now who would play Gerry and Pablo tho?
Jr only has 2 credible movies...
credible meaning able to be believed; convincing.
Erica Johnson Did you watch Godzilla vs KingKong ?
King S Freshz ...and your not credible you bitch you
The gerard scenes weren't cringy imo, i though he was a bad ass.
0:27
Not accidental. The guard went for his gun. Watch the scene again
Man, I forgot how good it was, but you made it sound kinda jacked. Out of the past decade, this is one of the better action and heist movies.
You almost got it all right. Only part that was incorrect was they use the money from the stadium robbery in the beginning of the movie to put in the boxes for exchange not money from quicken loans. They say this in the beginning when they have the pallet of $. Something like “this $ is good but it’s traceable, wouldn’t you rather have 30 mill clean” other than that great video!
great catch
Explain to me how they ended up with 30 million if they only brought in a million and he was picking money out of the very box that he came in. That part makes no sense to me. At best it looks like they laundered a very small fraction of the money they brought in with great risk and effort.
Awesome movies man not a wack ending dude this was an awesome movie
It was a Great Movie personally I think it's a must see
It's good to see the background characters get the justice they deserve.
Well, I'm gonna risk getting yelled at and say that I loved the movie. Was definitely worth my time.
The ending was like a Naruto Shippuden sh8t, where we thought Pain was the leader of Akatsuki but in the end it was Obito all along.
Just watched Den of Thieves and this movie was probably the best I’ve seen
You should watch more movies.
@@GDQ what are you the movie expert?? 💀
@@whogotblocked3368 No, but unlike you guys I have seen more than one movie.
You should rename this video to "Let me narrate the plot of Den of Thieves and not explain a thing"
@@PPPP-zi2bd yes!
@@PPPP-zi2bd PLEASE I HAVE A BIG DOUBT in one of the last scenes, they send money in wheels to the name of MARK GAMBLE, WHO IS THIS GUY??? I have searched many pages and I don't found the answer
I loved Den Of Thieves that ending though was good in my opinion. All of the guest in the bar were thieves themselves all of them. I liked the ending, my best friend would like the ending of this compared to the ending in HEAT. He hated that ending cause he thought that Robert Deniro`s character should`ve been smart enough to not go back to the hotel to kill the snitch. When he could`ve gotten away with his woman, send in a hit squad to find and finish off dude that snitched on him & his crew. But Den Of Thieves ending was good cause he was smart and got away with it. For once the bad guys win.
Do you think everyone was a Part of it, even the two black guys at the Feds?
Go watch "The Town". I think you'd like it, imo a slightly better movie than this. Also takes quite some inspiration from HEAT as well.
@@sharris3624 No not the feds. But everyone who was in the bar yes.
@@Treadston3 The Town is a great movie as well.
And the ending was good hope they make a 2nd one
"A bunch of Samoans to make up for The Rock" lmaooooo
The god damn ending was the single best twist I have ever seen in a robbery movie
MakeshiftRain6 Productions dude it was fucking insane! Maybe I’m just stupid but holy shit I was so surprised. And the fucking garbage truck driver? Was part of the dude’s SOCCER TEAM??? I was so fucking confused and I love it. I still am confused. Was this guy in on it ? Now all of a sudden they are in Britain. Holy shit I’m mind boggled.
Watch inside man
Just a minor correction. The money they brought into the reserve ($2.7 mil) with the cart came from the stadium heist of the rave (the only part of that heist shown was when they were cleaning up the money and looking for the dye packs). They didn’t take any money from the Savings and Loan.
I had a blast with this movie. The definition of a popcorn flick.
Thank you for explaining the ending bc I was with the movie the whole way through til the last 5 minutes. I was so lost at that point 💀
So why didn't the security guy at the end stop the delivery guy when he got the call from the Woman in the break room? He got up with his Walkie Talkie and then we never see him again. Nick winds up stopping the guy.
I like these plot twist movies. They’re like a gem. Becoming popular and still yet good and amazing to watch
this movie was great i still watch it to this day its one of my favorites
Den of Thieves ending explained? Bro you just explained the ENTIRE film damn near scene for scene from start to finish.
I’m not the only one that called him cheddar bob!! 8 mile fans stand up
This was actually a GREAT MOVIE. Can't wait for the Den of Thieves 2 coming out tomorrow release date.
Definitely needs a prt 2
Eirinique Monroe there will be did you not watch the end? It was a hint of what the next movie is gonna be about
Airborne II do you think another thief will come and play Ice cube jr.’s crew like he played merrieman
the directing and suspense build up was definitely there.
Ken Wells it was for the guard he figured the guard might want to check out his story since he wouldn’t be signed in
Ken Wells yes because he went through the air vent he had to have an excuse to have been inside the federal reserve building, so pretending like he was there with Chinese food
Actually I think all you are wrong here. He needed to deliver it because he wanted to get "burned" by the lady calling in the guard and then the security reporting to cop stop the guy in red shirt. That way he never makes it to the shoot out with the fake 💰 in saburban to get shot.
Ken Wells
Then what was the reason for his being back in the building?
The 3rd act was fire but you can't think about the ending too much cause you start to doubt it and see the plot holes
whos here after watching this for a second time on netflix
Not me!! Lol
I love love loved it!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Loved it!
I loved it
sotablack19 me too! The dude that owned this channel a hater
Also that intimidation seen before the prom was so cringy and cheesy.
i completely agree, at first I was like ok he's giving a gun to Oshae, but then I realized that they all were in the Marines together
@@troystievater381Oshea wasn't deployed with the rest of them. But it was definitely said that he was a marine.
i instantly knew something was up when holloway showed as the garbage truck guy tbh
It’s like they stole a little something from everything
Just got around to watching this, I think the ending was perfect. Just barely unpredictable, makes sense, and sets up for a potential sequel.
It's just "heat" with the
"the usual suspect" ending.
After hearing Gerard say in the trailer “your not the bad guys...we are” I was expecting the twist to be Gerard and his men stealing the money from them at the end. But there was really nothing bad about them....
Thanks man I was a little confused near the end
Chopper Cam i would like it without a spin of i feel like it is to much and pretty unconnected
I loved it. Just watched it again At work. Everytime I watch it, I get so tense and anxious
Loved it, one of the best movie in a while
Glad I’m not the only one that forever considers Evan Jones as Cheddar Bob
You got to watch it again you explaining key parts wrong don’t know if your doing it on purpose or not but your viewers deserve the true nature of the movie
What part?
What parts then hector ???
What parts Hector? ??
Who called the drop at 3:16 -you say its the manager, its not the bank manager - check 1:26:50 and then 1:29:55
At the end you clearly didn't realize that the driving scene didn't actually happen.
He seemed like an abusive stalker at that dinner and it made it impossible for me to root for him.
cheddar bob keeps being trigger happy i wasn't aware that i needed that
This movie was sooo ridiculous I loved it
Had me hooked from beginning to end. Amazing piece!
I knew what I was getting into with this movie so I enjoyed it. I wanted guns and gangsters and I got that. And the twist at the end was pretty good. I wasn’t expecting a tour de force film but I had fun with this.
It is really interesting to see how the person who hasn't been in combat understand this movie.
Because logic has no meaning take it for what its worth
The saw when he went to the reserve u idiot
They were watching him enter the Federal Reserve earlier as a food delivery guy so they knew that was their target.
Saw Cube Jr. enter the Fed. Res. as delivery guy.
After figuring out the bank was a wild goose chase, take their chances at the Fed. Res.
First guy they recognize - Cube Jr.
"It's clobberin' time" Cube Jr's ass out of frustration
Jhaedify 😂😂😂 @ “it’s clobberin’ time” I heard that in The Things voice
Right up there with HEAT
So many stupid people in the comment section. I thought the ending was pretty clear cut and easy to follow. Too many social media brats who don't know how to use their own thought process.
See Cha No not really the ending made no sense lol the movie was entertaining but it had problems.
I knew when they said he quit the job at the bar what had happened. Do yeah it was pretty clear
Slow down John. Everyone understands it. It's just whack and out of place.
Lmao u probably 40
this movie is really good, the plot twist was not expected! the shootout in the beginning and end was awesome.
i wanted the robbers to win so bad 😞😞 why can’t they ever make a movie where they win
TilerP Ever watched money heist on Netflix? They always win, but come across some problems
The penning scene was captivating but the stupidest part was merrimen getting mad at the other guy for shooting the armored car security. Made zero sense. Was he not suppose to shoot?
Ok, can someone explain how 100 civilians didn't get shot in the shootout? Were they just chillin in their cars the whole time?
Ice cubes son did that initiation because he had to prove himself
Watched this video after watching the movie. The ending was amazing and i hope there wold be a sequel
i didnt get it at the scene when Donnie was walking out the Federal bank at the end, and the two ladies were complaining about the food, why didnt his team member girl "which we dont know that until the end" didnt stop her friend from calling the security to buy him some time to run away???
Look at the garbage truck scene again.
The guard was not apart of the plan, and the chick who called him was just a coworker of the girl who was flirty.
Well worth the coins. As a matter of fact, "Usual Suspects" is the first flick I thought about when the flick ended.
this isn't explaining the movie- this is just giving hate to a great movie. i loved the ending even though i already knew from the middle that donnie was playing them

I laugh myself up when u say ice cube junior AHAHAHAHA
Loved the movie. Could have been great if they had a better actor in O'sheas role. Next to butler and merrimens strong acting his stuck out like a sore thumb.
It will be interesting to see what happens next as the sequel just got green lit.
I enjoyed this movie ending.
2:19 ice cube junior said in the beginning at the bar, ppl come in the bar in spill their secrets.
that’s why he knew that cuz the ppl that were counting the money at the bank go to drink their
Bro I think you missed the point in a lot of scenes , like merrimans stripper girl slept with butlers character to get his cell # so merriman could call him from the bank ... also how in the hell would ice cube jr just get in through the vents !?!
Austin Ryan merriman's stripper girl also slept with Bulger to give him misleading information about the heist
And beside if he entered the count room through the vents he would of had to sign In at the front desk.
So now I need blueprints to know that what he did could've been done in reverse? I really don't understand why you got so agitated about that.
0:54 That shot of the dead guy on the ground isn't in the film, at least the normal cut. You can see his face moving in the clip there.
The movie was good. I just ended it for the second time and I never do that.
You should change the title to "I roast Den of thieves in five minutes" because you ain't explaining nothing but talking trash about the Butler and 50 Cent.
Holy shit I just realized that the whole Sheriff's clique the Regulators are an actual Sheriff "gang" for a lack of a better term. It's mostly LA County Sheriff and some of Riverside County Sheriff. I forgot what their gang tattoos is but I think that could be the one. You also have others like the Banditos, Vikings, Rattlesnakes, Wayside Whities, Regulators, 3000 boys and others. That's a pretty cool detail if know about stuff like that. Yes, cliques are pretty much gangs regardless of what you wanna call them.
