Putting the machine in descaling mode is the key strangely it's not mentioned on Keurig descaling kit or anyone else except you. Thank you so much I was ready to return it to Costco.

Thank you. This has been the most easiest instructions I have encountered. Lots of instructions that was listed was to confusing and you had to be your own mechanic. I followed yours and just doing it as instructed, my Keurig coffee machine is as good as new. Thank you again.
The key piece of information: turn off and hold the 8 & 12 button to put the machine into “descale mode” is missing from the back of the keurig descale solution I bought. Without that info, the descale light will never go off! So thank you for posting this wonderful and straight to the point video! 👏 👏 👏

My husband inadvertently threw the instructions away with the box and I only use the unit occasionally. I’m back to normal and no more flashing descale light driving me crazy!

Needless to say, it was like Christmas at my house every week as folks would send me all sorts of products to review. I got several Keurings - including Keurig Kold which made frozen drinks (it was fabulous but they discontinued it!) I don't drink coffee but set up one of the machine - which is different from yours . From the get go, it has never made a coffee with 10 ounces! So I followed your instructions - which didn't match exactly with my machine. I hope this fixes whatever the issue was - kind of surprising it being a brand new machine.
Thanks much. As mentioned, a little tricky removing the case and did have a couple broken tabs but the reset worked. Very thankful for your clear instructions.
I use 4 teaspoons of fine food grade citric acid mixed in a cup of water, then add that to the water reservoir and fill it with water. Same concept different product! I always forget these instructions and this is my go to video. Biggest hint: turn the power to off then press 8 and 12 oz buttons for 3 seconds until the descale light turns solid, I always try to press them when it on (it doesn't work, haha). ❤❤❤

I thought it wasn’t working but I kept running water through it and it finally stopped. It took my unit more than 1 full water reservoir. That might be because I keep messing around with it though.
i'm following your video (thank you so much this was a life saver) but my "add water" light isn't coming on and i've done several descaling cycles. help!
Thanks for the directions. My Kurig wouldn't respond to holding down the 8 and 12 oz buttons together so I just did all the rest of the descaling process, and the descale light won't go off. Any suggestions?
Ummmmm you didn’t tell people that if you keep brewing cup after cup it’s going to overheat and pop the breaker inside the K-cup machine. Then it stops working all together with no power. Then you’ll have to ask me then how to fix that because I know how to do that after doing such a dumb thing. Like overheat it. It’s still a great video with being straight to the point step a to Z and no BS. I love it. Just overheating thing will definitely mess things up for people. That’s not an easy fix I know because I had to do it. I actually have a special key thingy I made to reset the breaker inside the K-cup machine if I overheat and pop the breaker inside again.

Here's a hint. Take the used hot vinegar and pour it down your AC drip line to clear any algae that's growing.

Thanks! I take it one step further by placing the machine in my sink while descaling. That way the water just goes down the drain. No cups needed.

my keurig has a charcoal filter that should be replaced. Nothing was mentioned of that. Do the newer models still use those filters
