Thanks for providing a starting point especially since embossing is supposed to be a “curio” not a “cameo” thing. Will fiddle with now to find settings that work for me. Appreciate your willingness to share.
Thanks for the try. I just have the cameo and I need to learn to use it..Have had it for years and never turned it on. Guess I just need to close my eyes and take the leap
Hi.. I'm happy to know that cameo 3 can emboss.. thanks so much for uploading and sharing your experience to emboss.. I really love to emboss.. I want to ask what holder you are using for that embossing pen?please.. need to know that..
McTat McBoss thanks for the comment. I really need to work on that video again. It was so poorly recorded, but one of my first. Lol.... but I just used an old pen grip... but you should be able to use the pen tool adapter that silhouette sells.
Ooh..ok thank you so much.. I would try first DIY adapter..until I will have a silhouette adapter, I want to buy it but in my area there's nobody who is selling an adjustable holder like amy's chomas creation adjustable pen & marker holder.. Your video is ok.. but yeah you can download a new one.. and keep that old video..
I haven’t gotten the cameo 4 as of yet, so I’m not for sure if it can be done. The adapter is the pen adapter that is the silhouette brand and the embossing tool was a set by Martha Stewart.
The Cameo 4 could be amazing for this with its powerful second carriage. Unfortunately there are no toolpath options available for that side that don’t generate loops for blade positioning. It’d just be a simple software tweak to allow “sketch” or some other option. I did some tests and it’s an amazing result held back only by a slight software limitation.
Hi. I have Cameo 3, there is no option for embossing in it. What I mean is you show in this video that you chose "Embossing" option from the menu. Whereas in cameo 3 the embossing option is not present. So I don;t know if I will be able to do it.
+Shahina Ali I said, "I am using Embossing 1 which is my own setting" but if you see I also used sketch pen and used the highest thickness. Embossing 1 is just my own user setting that I programmed.
Thanks for being so patient with me. I just got my cameo last week and still exploring it. I am learning a new thing every time I watch your video. I have ordered my embossing pen and will try your technique when I get them. Thanks again. Will keep you posted.

You're welcome and thanks for the pleasant comment.

My cameo 4 is doing drag lines. May I ask how you got that to stop?
Monica Sosa Don’t let the pen down to far, you have to play around with it a bit.
muito legal, mas onde comprar este boleador?
can we do this in Cameo 4? what is the embossing tool and the adapter?

What did you use to hold your tool in?
Nikole Curry it was a pen grip off of an old pen.
Hi. I was told cameo does not have ability to emboss. What kind of pen are you using for it and what model of cameo is this? Thanks
That's true, but I gave it a tried to see with my Cameo 3 and I am using Martha Stewart embossing pens.
