This company is a bit of an exception. They actually know what they are doing . I learn from these videos. It looks fun and interesting. Good work gentleman.
"C&D" "Construction & Demolition" debris. My best guess is they lump the two together because whether you're throwing away leftover bits from building something or debris from tearing something down, it contains basically the same material and is treated (and billed) the same way by the landfill or transfer station. The only difference is that with demolition, there's more of it.
Colton's been on a machine since he was a little kid. He really is very experienced. He was concerned though, because that guy was filming us the whole time. And you know, sometimes things don't, go the way you want them to.
@@phillipramirez3991 ya probable lacks the insurance to get it demo and rebuilt, , because why would you complain about getting rid of the dangerous eye sore next door , too me that would a good thing 🤓
I'm surprised you didn't either line the fence with some thin plywood (or maybe some salvaged metal roofing sections), or go get some snow fence and create a secondary barrier to catch any light debris. But good job pulling it down without any issue.
I love watching your DEMO vids of our local area. Have you taken notice of the rebar that you expose when demoing those large concrete beams, condition of the steel rebar?? How old are the beams, rusty rebar??? Just thinking of the condo building on the east coast that fell due to “Spaulding” of the concrete and rebar?????
As the concrete ages, the protective chemicals or “ ph “in the concrete looses it protective qualities and the steel rebar starts to explode due to rust busting apart the concrete. Have you taken notice of it when you are demoing???
Yes, we see it a lot where the concrete is spalding. As you say. There taking the stucco off around here and looking at the concrete and then putting the stucco back on. It's gotta be wildly expensive for these condos
If people can rebuild on this hurricane prone beach why can't I build a mansion on the side of Mount St Helen's? Hurricane frequency is higher than volcano eruptions.
Maybe the “C” originally stood for Construction & the “D” would be for Demolition. That to me is what would make sense. It wouldn’t seem that there’s many other possibilities. A general contractor or subcontractor might be where to go for the answer as far as the meaning of the letters. I think someone who’s been doing what they do for 20 to 30 years would know just because of the length of time they’ve been in the business. Great job & video & thanks for taking the time to capture the physical part of the subject of the video. And great camera work!
I was gonna say he really watched you guys... Shoulda asked him for footage. Great job, looks fun. You hiring ? I could snowbird from Pa....lol@@removeitprosdemolition
You pick up a Jones valve, meter, & hydrant wrench from the city or township upon permit time. You better believe you get charged for the water. Hillbillies throw a suction line attached to a water pump in a nearby water source, if they'll let you, that is the municipality let's you.
The far end of that made me a little nervous for a minute when he pulled down the roof of the structure held up with the "2x4" that was really two 2x2s.
$20,000 less sounds like a fairly inexpensive demolition for this size structure. Your idea of pulling the pillar out with the Jeep makes me think of that Jackie Chan movie where they do the same thing with a Peterbilt tow truck. As for who owns the sand, my guess is that whether the city owns it or the neighbor owns it, you'll be stuck putting it back?
If the county is managing the sand, then the sand on the property belong to them. AND, it should be the county responsibility - completely, for retrieving and clearing this off of properties damaged by the hurricane. This should not be the responsibility of the owner of this property, whatsoever. IMO. You guys did a really good job on this project, Dave!
Thank you. If someone leaves materials on your lot they belong to you. This may not included titled property. At least that's how they treat it here in Florida.
The wire he pulled out do your guys get the wire and other scrap out are not just wondering how many loads did it take been watching and commenting at same time how far down do pile lings have to go in ground up here it's to bed rock for base down there don't know unless they groat them in and pump groat to base of pile lings how long does it take from start to finish and do you have to do anything about the sand like check for contaminated sand just asking another thing does the Dot mess with you shouldn't cause clean up after natural disaster thanks again Dave
Probably about five loads for the c and d and one load for the concrete. We accumulate the scrap, and it's one of our profit centers. We use it to keep the guys busy. When most slow. Dot doesn't mess with us at all about any thing. It's unlikely that there's any containment, it's in that fan, that means anything.
people are crazy for building on a beach.its like asking to get your ass kicked.the houses are so close togather, if you fart your neighbor suggest you go wipe yourself.
I like the scrapping and demolition part.👍
I love watching you work.
Thanks for watching hope you subscribed!

He just makes work look so easy with that heavy equipment! Great footage!
It’s fun to watch. Thanks for the compliment, hopefully you subscribed!
@@removeitprosdemolition It sure is. I've been subscribed for a year, enjoy all your videos!
Really like this content. Especially the drone or higher elevation footage.
Thank you for the compliment. Thanks for watching, and hopefully you subscribed
Awesome footage! You guys are definitely the best at what you do!
That sand and that beach looks so beautiful now. It's amazing how fast you can forget about everything that recently happened when you see that.
I'm glad you like the beach. It's why I bought this property! Just Kidding....lol
THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO

I learned something new today. Thanks!
@ My pleasure! I’ve learned so much from your channel!
that and it is called c&d as whether construction or demo it's all pretty much the same material just yes in demo there tends to be more and bulkier
Those machine operators have some serious talent!

I’m a retired finish carpenter ! I love Demo ? Watch out you might break that . Yah hoo
It’s fun to watch the big machines but I always like to see what happens in the little details.

It would have been a good idea, but honestly, didn't even think about it at the time. Colton is very experienced.
Another great video thank you 😊 💜🌸🇬🇧

WOW that final grade 😮💨👌🏻
They wanted the sand to stay but wanted to be able to walk up to the beach. Owners asked us to leave it this way Hope you subscribed.
Hard hat area dude. I would use all those pillars. Might need some kind of netting by the building
We'll definitely keep that netting idea in mind!
Great video man, what music did you use through out the video?
Great job
Thank you for the compliment, hopefully you subscribed.
@removeitprosdemolition Yes already a subscriber 👌
Laughed at the house everytime I went to the ramp. So high in the air.
Do you live close by?
It seems you took a few scoops of sand as you took the bottom part of that house. How do you remove/reclaim that sand?
We pushed some of it back to the beach and the rest of it.We just left there for the owners.
good job
Thank you! Cheers!
Interesting......................
In North Carolina C&D stands for construction and demolition
If people can rebuild on this hurricane prone beach why can't I build a mansion on the side of Mount St Helen's? Hurricane frequency is higher than volcano eruptions.
Good point! Are you not allowed to build on Mt St Helens? Thanks for watching! I hope you subscribed!
best video leave content it’s fine your pal bob ❤❤❤❤
Thanks!!
What is the hosing with water for?
@@nancyschindler4844 It helps with dust control. Drywall, in particular, leaves a huge dusty mess when it crumbles during demo.

Four million for a postage stamp lot...RIDICULOUS. The world has gone mad.
It is on the beach in a sub tropic climate....
The water they're using for dust control, is it from the bay or fire hydrant? Just curious.
Hydrant.
Its the Gulf!!

Can't beleive that held up through three 4 more hurricanes after IAN. Hope you subscribed.
My opinion just like to see my video like you did on the high rise building hook up a gopro in the excavator and let them record keep up the good work
That's a great idea.

I agree with you, that was a fun movie. I am not doing anything with the sand. I think the city has done all they are going to do.

05:50 Very nice way to not describe the neighboor by his proper name :P
Noted!! :) :)
Why would you rebuild on a beach in Florida? That dream is over. Next year will be way way worse.
Not true. They are rebuilding the beach's right now!!
people are crazy for building on a beach.its like asking to get your ass kicked.the houses are so close togather, if you fart your neighbor suggest you go wipe yourself.
Ninety nine percent of the time, it's perfect.
@removeitprosdemolition and with hurricane windows, you could blast your stereo system and the neighbor can't even hear you.
