Please give clean, old rugs, towels and comforters to your local animal shelter or Native Animal Rescue. The animals are kept off the cold, concrete floor when they have the alternative of having something soft to rest on, and it may be their only tangible comfort.

0:01 i have an idea to remove those dangerous glass panes , get a bolt gun( for unaliving farm animals, it has metal thingh which goes out like an hammer ) (or an hammer drill or if all else fail a nail gun )build a stand for it with a anti slip bottom,place the device near a bottom corner of the glass pane , rig the trigger with a wire, arm the device go to a safe covered place and yank that wire it will pull the trigger , slamming into the glass and instant break (if you have to use a nail gun use a thick board inside the shower to catch the nail , if you use a hammer drill sharpen the chisel to a spear like point)
The emergency hammers that the police and the early responders have works really good with knocking out these windows and these shower doors, etc. Etc.

Dave, you need to contact re-sale stores out of your area. I would look uphill to a state such as Kentucky, Tennessee, etc. The demographics will work on non-hurricane items. I would just wholesale to individuals who would arrive empty and leave full and can remove a large amount Of overstock. California has the longest coast and the most outrageous resale prices. Yes trucking is out of the question, don't don't offer it. Again it's a matter of shedding overstock, and maintaining what can be re- used locally and is in demand.
