There's a " Across the Universe " by The Beatles to this, which is no bad thing. Bought this album when it came out and always loved it. I think the final 2 tracks have Jeff's most powerful, emotional vocals, which will make you shiver,.Eldorado and the finale. Good reaction.
This song is part of the overall fantasy. Again, this album and Time are closely related in concept. This is my favorite song on the record....never grow tired of it.
"Mister Kingdom" is one of my all-time favorites. I heard this first as the B-side of "Turn To Stone," and it prompted me to make the jump from buying singles to exploring ELO's albums. The compilation "Olé ELO" was the first, but the actual albums were quick to follow.
Hi guys. Do a little searching and you'll find out is a concept album about a guy known as "the Dreamer", trying to escape from his mundane world as he travels in his dreams, playing diferent roles. Keep enjoying it. Big hug, alongside my blessings,
One of the three ELO 'Mister' songs..... Mr Blue Sky, Mister Kingdom and Mr Radio.....next reaction could be Mr Radio from the first album to complete the trilogy ..... trust me, it's more accessible than 10538 Overture 😁
Mr. Radio's beginning is quite similar to that of Mr. Blue Sky. Jeff's music has a continuous thread from stem to stern....you'll always know it's Jeff.
Yes, this is probably my favorite from this excellent album, And, yes... it slows down just a tiny notch during the verses, and I think it is amazing! It serves the song very well. No clicktrack here to destroy the feel! I am a drummer since 50 years and this is very musical playing by Bev!
This album is incredible, their BEST by a mile IMO. The musical arrangement is magnificent and they had two cello players and a violinist in the band and with electric pickups they sound like buzz saws in some segments like on this track. I was lucky to have seen them live during this time and it was indescribable.
One of those albums that was intended to be heard in it's entirety in one sitting. Jeff's masterpiece. Changes in tempo (if done proper) affect the emotion of the song and are critical in great music. Mr. Lynne knows his sh...
Some of Jeff's best lyrics on the verses. About places like the Emerald City, Shangri-La, Eldorado where you keep searching but never quite find what you're looking 4. Because these places don't ever actually exist. Dream if you will. Dreaming doesn't get u there. There is no pot of gold @ the end of the rainbow. There is a light @ the end of the tunnel. But it's the headlamp of an oncoming train.
Slowing down and speeding up was, and still is or should be i believe, a fundamental tool in creating music, it can dramatically add , to name a few things, color, mood and anticipation. Nowadays in main stream music that tool is generally barely used anymore. Everything needs to be on a clicktrack and quantized. For me, it makes much of todays music sounds, feels, much less organic and emotion evoking , compared to , lets say, music 30 years ago and before. I feel now it is too much altered, and 'perfected' , because we can, with as many tracks as we can fathom in protools and the like, that it sounds not human anymore, too, well, computerized. We are maybe so used to it now that when you hear a tempo slowing down in a song you actually notice it, and it might sound 'wrong' , as in for instance the 70ties you would just listen and let it be a part of the music. But that is just how i feel :)
I’ll comment more in the aftershow guys but did you notice the introduction of a female character here? And you’re right about the ending, it leads you straight into the bridge to next track.
this album made gold in its first week of release, each song runs into the next, and eldorado overture is an absolute masterpeice from jeff lynne,
THE eldorado album is meant to be played from start to finish, like a rock opera. It is a journey.
I saw this tour in 1974. It was epic! This, in my opinion is ELO's masterpiece album of all time.

This sounds like Across the Universe.
Welcome back, guys, we needed our ELO fix from our "keen insight" duo! :D

B-side of Turn to Stone? Wow, I did not know that. I just bought the albums and I have them all!

And indeed references to King - Rock and Rock is King, King of the Universe
Another “Mr.” song from the Idle Race days: “Mr. Crow & Sir Norman”.

Guys listen to kuiama that’s a great song by ELO
I love this album. Only ever listen to it in one go. It's a gem!
Missión (a world record)
A master piece

Wonderful, wonderful Mr Kingdom from the wonderful Eldorado album masterpiece. Thank you both. 🙏😊👍❤️
Another concept album by ELO.
Man who dreams of being in medieval times. But can't leave that reality
Goosebumps
This song is so Beatles, McCartney should be able to sue. And it's as good as the best Beatles material. Hugely underappreciated.
Like a few ELO Albums... you need to listen to the album as a whole complete through, very loud.
Evil woman should be your next reaction
Like the way this one ends and jumps into the next song... Mister Kingdom is a great song!
Amo ❤
Thanks, Marissa! Thanks, Tyler! 👑 #TylerCreatesContent #TCCReacts #ELO #ElectricLightOrchestra #MisterKingdom
The whole album is about having a bad life and has a better life in his dreams so wants to stay there
Most of the record where played in one long take. They Practice a lot. Now go to the final. Eldorado 😊😊
Slow down 😀 2 tracks to go before they get there !
I like Eldorado just before Eldorado Finale half way through the song if you listen carefully you can hear the cello players packing up their cellos 😂
Si bien sería un plagio de across the universe! Es magistral la parte del coro y la orquestación un verdadero genio ELO es un viaje para toda la vida

Again, good reaction. This one grew on me the more I listened. And this one rolls right into Nobody's Child.

the most Beatles track that isnt The Beatles.
It is very Pink Floyd in places.
Sounds like John Lennon. Universe a little .
Please go now to the next ELO 1983 album " Secret Messages "........................thanks
Reaction Madonna - spanish eyes " It's a Madonna classic.
