Upper comment is trash lol, machines make so much difference. I moved gyms for machines and instead of bent over row I do t bar chest supported and summary similarly many more exercises. Both strength and hypertrophy are on next level. Complex machines are awesome.

@@ritikcool76 so you switched to a row which in summary can be set up with free weights. The equipment might be slightly more convenient but in most cases they feel worse. Majoritively having problems with tension and load being decreased in the stretched position. A creative person can set up a plethora of exercises with cables or bench set ups making specialised iso exercise possible and accessible to people who can't afford an expensive private gym. There's plenty of content online to find the cool variations and as someone who has experienced both types of gym I actually prefer the cheaper one.

Hey Chris, I have a question for you. When you first started training years ago what kind of training program/split did you use then compared to now? Most guys always seem to advocate each body part multiple times a week starting but I never actually see the pros doing that unless they are bringing up a weakness. I'm in my 30s now and essentially relearning. It seems everything I was raised on was total bs and gave me nothing but injuries lol
His push pull legs video is nice, from there you can branch off and incorporate more of your weak points and places where you’d like more focus on. Just a suggestion, did his push pull legs workout from a video he did 3 years ago I believe for 3 months and from there I kept majority of the work but incorporated more for where I lacked, best of luck.
Renaissance Periodization is a phenomenal source, Mentzer's ideal program for naturals is interesting to look at too, Jeff Nipard has a bunch of great programs laid out for different skill levels
