Hi Cait! Congratulations on your finish of Sea Glass! It’s beautiful. Makes me want to get my Grandma’s Lilacs or Orcas projects out and work on them.
It’s ok to take a stitchy break. I didn’t stitch for an entire year after my dad died. Life events and stress just take time to process. Your saltbox piece is gorgeous! What a great idea to stitch a “window” of the four seasons.

So nice to see you back again; all the best well wishes for you. I love your salt box houses finish-gorgeous! Salt box houses are were really popular in the early days of settling, here in Newfoundland, Canada; I may have to add them to my ever growing “to-stitch list”. I’ve discovered I’m an “ahead-of-season” seasonal stitcher, so that I can try to have things finished and ready to put on my walls when the time comes.

Nice to watch your videos. So glad you are having a slow, easy summer. Enjoy. You don’t need to change any colours on your projects. They are perfect the way they are! I stitch quite a bit, not much the past week or so! Depends on what is going on. I find that I like to fill out my Stitching Journal from Lori Sykes. That is a bit of a motivator for me!

Don’t be too hard on yourself about your lack of stitchy motivation. It will come back! Mine was gone for the first few months of the year until I found a pattern that I couldn’t resist working on.
For not really stitching you got a lot done especially your two beautiful finishes. And those are some sizable finishes. The seasonal houses have been on my wishlist for awhile they are just so petite and cute 😍 Can’t wait to see you in the next video.

Wonderful finishes Cait! I love the way your saltboxes turned out. That is a series I've wanted to stitch for a while now, and I'm inspired to stitch in a similar layout now as well. I don't consider myself a seasonal stitcher but I do enjoy Fall, Christmas and Patriotic/Historical stitching the most. - also a fellow Caitlin 😂 with the same spelling

Seaglass and saltbox finishes are fabulous!! Don’t worry about losing your stitchy bug it will come back, no doubt! Maybe you could look into a retreat? Or organize a small stitchy gathering or weekend! You are kind of close to the Stitchery Nook in Iowa, or even closer to Welcome Stitchery, both have nice stitching areas and frequent classes and gatherings. I would travel to meet up!! Just enjoy yourself and that sounds exactly like what you are doing ❤

Your sea glass piece is beautiful! I also recently lost my stitchy bug. The other day I took out a bunch of patterns to try and get myself motivated for different seasonal pieces and nothing was calling out to me. Eventually I got the bug back but I’m actually glad I had a nice little break that I used to catch up on my reading.
Thanks for the recommendation for Bramble, picked some up from my LNS and love it! I love finding an old movie or show that brings me joy to listen to when I stitch :)

Bramble is a great fabric. I'm currently stitching Live on Little on it. The palette on your seasonal saltbox sampler is so calming. Also, I'm right there with you on Nicola and Luke. I rewatched s3 at least 3 times and the whole series two more times in a matter of days - so obsessed. S3 is my absolute favorite of the series. I even downloaded the soundtrack as I've developed a new appreciation for orchestra music. 😊
