Hey Steph, it’s Elizabeth Alford. I so enjoyed being with you and Kim and others in the Sampler stitching lounge at the Jingle Ball. What a fun weekend! I’m hooked up to your FlossTube now, so I’ll be watching. Take care and enjoy your holidays. 🎄🧑🎄🎁🎉🥳
Welcome to flosstube. The first thing I noticed on your video was your thimble collection. I collected thimble as well and had a very similar display that my grandfather made me. You have some beautiful samplers, and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.
Nice to meet you, Steph. I had just finished Kim's video, she mentioned you, and then your's popped up in my feed. I am also drawn to samplers much more than small seasonal things. Of course that means a lot of WIPS. Thank you for sharing, and enabling.😁
Hello Steph! I really enjoyed your video! All of your sampler projects are beautiful and huge!! I found you through Brenda & Laura, and they were right that your video is really good! Looking forward to ;your next one!
Great first video! We have a few projects in common, and I have been to The Shanty Stitcher shop a couple of times. One of my daughters went to grad school at USD. Looking forward to the next video.
Great job on your first FlossTube, Steph! Religious verses are not my thing, either, so I love to see how other like-minded stitchers modify their pieces. I just kitted up a new project and I’m using the floss drops that you gifted at the farm girl retreat in the spring 😊
Yes it was fun for me too. I got so much stitching done while I watched. Well done for your first floss tube video. 🎉 I am looking forward to number 2 😊
Steph, this was great! So happy to see all of your sampler WIPs! Definitely reminded me I’ve still got plenty on my to-stitch list…Love the small changes you make to make the charts work for you. I did finish Maria Ewin and even though the lord’s prayer isn’t my thing it makes me think of my grandma and presumably was important to Maria so I kept it. And the tiny letters look awesome! But I love your idea of finding a poem or other saying that fits you. I’m trying to do the same for some charts and am stalling out. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to the next video! ❤
Very much enjoyed this video. Beautiful samplers that certainly make me want to also stitch each one. Having beauty surround oneself is certainly something I can relate to also. I started cross stitching in late 1970’s then later also went the way of quilting. Now returning to cross stitch a couple years ago. My how much things have changed and for the better. I had to smile when you said “my puppies”. My dogs are always my puppies. I’ll certainly be back for your next FlossTube. 😊
I like to watch WIP parades. That's how I figure out if I like a flosstuber and the projects they stitch. You are a keeper. I immediately subscribed and I hope you make more flosstubes. It's if funny how everyone is so different? My least favorite things to stitch are grass and trees! I smiled when you said your favorite thing to stitch is grass. However I absolutely love samplers. I stitch a little bit of everything but samplers are my fav. I really enjoyed your WIP parade!
Wonderful and inspiring Flosstube. I’m impressed by the sheer number of samplers underway. It was really nice to see all your progress. Looking forward to your next video!
Welcome to flosstube! I do the exact same thing -- I slow down, or even stop working on a project except for a stitch or two at a time, just to drag it out so it doesn't end. So glad to hear I'm not the only one out there who does that!
That was fabulous! I’m so glad you started doing videos. I’ve finished Tom Fooler and Cecily Ingram. I find that HATS projects are always comfort stitching for me. I love all the bright colourful samplers you showed! Looking forward to the next video.
I loved all your projects and have added some to my list. I, too am drawn to samplers with beautiful, bright colors. Look forward to your next video. Cheers from Australia.
Found you after Brenda and Laura’s video:) love the shout-out to my LNS The Shanty Stitcher and Beresford, great stitching and video, can’t wait to see more!
Hello Steph, I'm glad Kim persuaded you to make a video! You did a great job! We met at Sampler Symposium last January ( I sat at your table on Saturday) and I really enjoyed meeting you. I hope to see you again this January if my work schedule allows me to attend Sampler Symposium. Looking forward to your next video and happy stitching!
Thanks for sharing, your stitching is beautiful we have a lot in common I’m also returning to cross stitch via a love of quilting … I like my grass green too! Thanks for the tip about using AI to convert to other poems/verses, I will use that for Mary Barres. Look forward to watching your next one, all the way from Sydney Australia.
Loved your video. We have very similar tastes in samplers. Your stitching is beautiful. For your next video could you please point the camera lower so we can see your work better. Thank you and I can't wait for your next video.
I enjoyed seeing all of your samplers. I finished Sally Cratis in July and had a frame made. It will be the largest piece I have laced, so she is currently waiting until I feel very brave.
FYI. You can put 100/3 on floss tags. Because they’re machine wound they won’t unwind or get fuzzy tails on a floss drop. I have put all of mine on floss drops and toss them around and they’re all still ok 😊. BTW Tudor Silk is more comparable to the Soie Surfine. Soie 100/3 is about twice the thickness of these two threads 😊
Came over from Brenda and Laura - I’d watched your flosstube with Kim - soon as Brenda mentioned you’d done your first flosstube …🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️➡️
Wonderful first flosstube! Love all your samplers❤️ Great eye candy. I am very similar in that I love stitching weird and quirky samplers. Have you seen MT1810 by GiGiRr? It is very quirky and I love it. Can’t wait till your next video!
Wow loved all your samplers! Great floss tube #1. Where do you get the time?? Saw some new and different samplers to put on my list. Thanks for sharing! Watching from Canada.
I enjoyed watching your first tube and seeing all of your beautiful projects. May I ask what the name of the vierlande sampler you’re stitching is called? You’ll have to introduce your puppy next time he/she sounded so cute.
Great first flosstube Steph. You have some fab samplers on the go, a few of which I have now added to my list although I couldn’t sleep if I had 30 on the go! I would love to know how you approach confetti stitching in flowers and borders. Do you stop and start or leave threads hanging down? I haven’t done much confetti and it scares me!!! With love from rainy England! x
Why, Hello Steph! It is wonderful to see you on floss-tube. I stayed up late stitching with you this evening (you know one more row became one more motif, etc etc) congrats on a great first floss tube! Say “Hi” to Laura! Cheri @underquiltedcovers
Love all your Samplers
Congratulations on your first floss tube.

I love seeing all your projects! I also love your thimble case behind you. I have a similar one with thimbles from my grandmother, very special.
Thank you! I have another thimble case as well for all the taller thimbles.
Loved your video and your name! 😊 Everytime I heard the puppies my dog Claire was chiming in!
Love that!

Awe…thanks for watching. Hope to see you at the attic in January.
Beautiful projects and lovely stitching. I wish your camera was adjusted as I often could only see the top half of some patterns
Just loved your first flosstube episode. I’m also a sampler lover. You gave me great ideas on organizing my wips. Going to work on that today!
Thank you so much!

Thanks for the info.❤
@@Lakegirlstitches BTW. The thread will get staticky. Use a dryer sheet to wipe down the entire skein and the static will disappear 😊
Fantastic video! You know I love the samplers too 💕
Yay, thank you!
Wonderful wonderful video! Keep them coming ❤❤

All souls vierlanden by quiltify designs
AI for the verse is so interesting! I bet it could chart it too.... ?
Possibly!
Hey Steph!!!!

I do a little traveling with confetti. I tend to run my floss behind other stitches if I have to go over more than two spaces. Thanks for watching!
Do u know of any good videos on stitching on linen, I would love to give it a try cause it looks so lovely
There are tons of tutorials out there. Try hands across the sea. Nicola Parkman.
Where do u like to buy your linens
Just search on Etsy. So many shops out there.
Giraffe?
Zebra?
Why, Hello Steph! It is wonderful to see you on floss-tube. I stayed up late stitching with you this evening (you know one more row became one more motif, etc etc) congrats on a great first floss tube! Say “Hi” to Laura!
