Nice to watch your videos. So glad you are having a slow, easy summer. Enjoy. You don’t need to change any colours on your projects. They are perfect the way they are! I stitch quite a bit, not much the past week or so! Depends on what is going on. I find that I like to fill out my Stitching Journal from Lori Sykes. That is a bit of a motivator for me!

The Seaglass finish is stunning. Do you change threads a lot or do you park several colors. Can’t imagine keeping track. Yours is beautiful. For Seasonal stitching I love Fall and am working furiously on a huge Halloween pattern of Teresa Kohut’s. I’m not that crazy about Halloween but I love this chart! Keep relaxing, your stitching bug will return.

Hi Cait! Congratulations on your finish of Sea Glass! It’s beautiful. Makes me want to get my Grandma’s Lilacs or Orcas projects out and work on them. It’s ok to take a stitchy break. I didn’t stitch for an entire year after my dad died. Life events and stress just take time to process. Your saltbox piece is gorgeous! What a great idea to stitch a “window” of the four seasons. Don’t be too hard on yourself about your lack of stitchy motivation. It will come back! Mine was gone for the first few months of the year until I found a pattern that I couldn’t resist working on. For not really stitching you got a lot done especially your two beautiful finishes. And those are some sizable finishes. The seasonal houses have been on my wishlist for awhile they are just so petite and cute 😍 Can’t wait to see you in the next video. Ps love the parody song! That is the best 😂

I try to be a seasonal stitcher I just Togo’s at keeping up. I work 40hours a week and help my mom. I try to stitch when I can but like you sometimes I lose my motivation. I love you stitching.

Wonderful finishes Cait! I love the way your saltboxes turned out. That is a series I've wanted to stitch for a while now, and I'm inspired to stitch in a similar layout now as well. I don't consider myself a seasonal stitcher but I do enjoy Fall, Christmas and Patriotic/Historical stitching the most. - also a fellow Caitlin 😂 with the same spelling

I have dreams of stitching all the samplers you've got going, so it's cathartic to watch you stitching them up while I wait for my own chance, hahaha! Thanks for the continual inspiration! :D I see what you mean about the colors in Pink Sparrow and it makes me want to make those adjustments when I get to it. It's very pretty, but I feel ya.

Salt box houses are were really popular in the early days of settling, here in Newfoundland, Canada; I may have to add them to my ever growing “to-stitch list”. I’ve discovered I’m an “ahead-of-season” seasonal stitcher, so that I can try to have things finished and ready to put on my walls when the time comes.

Hi Cait, I can relate to losing your motivation. I'm struggling with some things too and while I have a lot of desire to stitch and create, I just can't get going most days. Like you, I'm trying. Hang in there! :)

Seaglass and saltbox finishes are fabulous!! Don’t worry about losing your stitchy bug it will come back, no doubt! Maybe you could look into a retreat? Or organize a small stitchy gathering or weekend! You are kind of close to the Stitchery Nook in Iowa, or even closer to Welcome Stitchery, both have nice stitching areas and frequent classes and gatherings. I would travel to meet up!! Just enjoy yourself and that sounds exactly like what you are doing ❤

Right now I am working on the Jardin Prive Mystery SAL. It’s a pretty and fun floral SAL. I’m also starting the Spooky House mystery SAL by Satsuma Street. Such a fun piece with only the 1st part out so far. Satsuma Street always gets me excited. I hope you get your stitching groove back again soon.
