But that top part is loose on my lamp and no amount of tightening of the finial works. How do I fix that??

Hi Jon. I bought a lamp through Amazon and the control type is TOUCH. But after installation, I don't see the touch is working and I have to use the twist switch to ON/OFF. The harp on an old lamp spins around and wobbles. Would I simply use washers to fill the gap and tighten

the is okay but the socket keeps loose & falling out & my bulb keeps dangling loose ,,how do i fix it ,, it will not stand up straight, the socket keeps falling out of place
