For Some who are wondering here's a quick comic book lesson. Richard James Grayson's parents were killed in a trapeze "accident" at a show which Bruce Wayne attended. Bruce Wayne took him in and adopted. Dick, being an expert in reading body language, was able to realize that Bruce Wayne was Batman. After this batman took him in and trained him as Robin. After years of being Robin, Dick yearned for more than living in Batman's shadow. He became his own hero, Nightwing, and protected the neighboring city of Bludhaven. He currently still resides as Nightwing. Hope this helped.

It really kind of sucked that not just in this game, but in games like it, where the makers have rushed the development and released playable characters with incomplete fighting kits
i LOVE the dlc and recommend buying it. the only things that could make it better is if it had a voice actor so that he could be cracking jokes while he fights like nightwing/robin usually does and if it added some story game play but besides that its perfect

Nightwing was, and still is, such a great addition to Arkham City. Everything about him looks really cool; the look, the gadgets, the moves, even the Detective Mode is unique. What would make it cooler though is if he had dialogue and a unique playable story in Arkham City, not just for the Riddler Challenges. But at least we got him.
I think you can use Nightwing in free roam ( Arkham City) Because if you watch closely, he's fighting guys outside of two-face's mansion and other places as well, which I hope aren't challenge maps. And also if you haven't heard already, there is a trophy on the PS3 that says complete Nightwing Campaign. So I'm just really hoping.
I thought I was the only one who thought about Co-op! For some reason a large number of people don't want it but would freakin LOVE it. I understand how people could say they don't want it part of the regular single player but many games now have a separate co-op mode. It could be a separate story, or a multiplayer challenge map like the Gears Horde mode with TONS of enemies that comes at you and three friends playing as Batman, Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing. It would be freaking AWESOME.

I believe in the third game, if there is gonna be one, there should be multiple situations, of which you can do as any of the Gotham Wings (most call them the Bat clan, but there's only 2 bats, a nightwing and a robin, so 4 winged creatures, and only 2 are bats) THey should also include Cassandra's batgirl, and in multiple situations you can choose either of the four, and have to figure out different routes or same routes to complete them, along with co-op
AWESOME! Now the most wanted char to play as for me would be The Creeper! He seems PERFECT for freeflow combat, his moves are all dashes and punces on his enemies shoulders, and his boa could be used as a whip. His stun would be his laugh as well!

He may be smaller than Bruce, but he's lifted up to almost 1,000 pounds before as well. Batman has more weight to him, so he's more of a ground and pound fighter, and he tends to take blows,while Nightwing's more agile and tends to use his martial art skills in combination with his agility to deflect and avoid blows.
You pretty much have it right... Although the timeline has progressed since and Tim Drake is now Red Robin wile Damian Wayne, Bruce and Thalia's son is now the current Robin. He was first under Dick during his tenure as Batman. But when Bruce returned, Dick went back to being Nightwing (but for some time there were actually two Batmen before the reboot) and Damian and Bruce now patrol the streets of Gotham as the newest incarnation of the Dynamic Duo.
To me, the best bet would be 2 separate stories that has the same areas as the main story. The main story can have switch like how it does with catwoman in AC with the 3 heroes having a different segment to help batman. In the separate co op story, there can be up to 4 players and I have no idea how they can work that out but I believe rocksteady will blow my mind if they go this way.
Jesus... Nightwing is a frickin' badass. They really needed co-op in this game. Batman and Robin, or Batman and Nightwing, or ROBIN AND NIGHTWING? That would be the best fucking segment ever.

I never played Riddler's Revenge or the dlc's until the PS4 Return to Arkham: Arkham City and I completed it all and Nightwing is my 2nd favorite, Batman being 1st. I plan on going back and doing it on my original PS3 copy of the game as well.
Like while batman was captured by joker, catwoman was fighting ivy and they can have robin and nightwing side missions similiar to hers and causes them end up to all end up at batman's location to continue the story. This changes with the number of players and changes the outcome of what happens to batman by which hero makes it first to his location. I trust the team at rocksteady to take great care and make this the best game ever if done with the same care as AA and AC.
There are like three, four, no make that FIVE cliff hangers i know off that could lead to a potential sequal: Hush (who now roams free with a face like Bruce), Azrael (who left a message about a decaying Gotham), Scarecrow (which took off his mask and in AA had reach on the titan formula, and in AC had a boat with a experiment on one of jokers thugs with experimental cockroaches. 'easter egg location'), R'as a Gul (which mysteriously disappeared leaving his sword). And maybe Clayface.

Would have been cool to see him in free roam though, but it would have been annoying since he won't be able to glide.

Yeah, and now since mark hamill said on twitter he's not quitting the joker voice anymore :D it makes it an even bigger possibility of the joker returning. I just hope and prey that they make him playable in the 3rd

he may be but, since they have equal training they will have the same overall. nightwing's fighting style is a little faster and more agile, but it is compensated by lesser strength, which batman has more. Batman= stocky build, nightwing= slender (lean) build.
@TeemuKosonen They've got different fighting styles. Nightwing uses more of his legs/athletic/gymnastic abilities while Batman combines all forms of martial arts like jujitsu, ninjutsu, judo etc or good old vale tudo.

The Robin in this game is indeed Tim Drake (seeing as the joker calls out how he killed robin in the challenge maps) but, there is a 'red robin' skin that is more like Jason Todd, sicne he was indeed the FIRST Red Robin (tim grabbed the title afterwards) and i think that the red robin skin has a more Jason Todd feel to it
All they need now is Batman Beyond. It doesn't have to make sense, just put him there. Then I'll be using Nightwing and Batman Beyond for most of the challenge maps!
Dick Grayson(Nightwing) was the first Robin. He then got sick of being the "boy wonder" and not seen as Batman's equal and he quit being Robin when he was like 20. He then took on the identity of Nightwing and fights crime in Gotham and surrounding cities. Now that he has established himself on his own, Batman now has his respect and trust as an equal to an extent. The Robin in AC is the third Robin(Tim Drake).

Yeah, and now since mark hamill said on twitter he's not quitting the joker voice anymore :D it makes it an even bigger possibility of the joker returning. I just hope and prey that they make him playable in the 3rd
the animated series skin looks so badass. i wish loren lester reprised his role as nightwing for this game.

Music makes it intense. Also, next Batman Game, they should have a Nightwing Story, not just challenges.
he may be but, since they have equal training they will have the same overall. nightwing's fighting style is a little faster and more agile, but it is compensated by lesser strength, which batman has more. Batman= stocky build, nightwing= slender (lean) build.

@TeemuKosonen They've got different fighting styles. Nightwing uses more of his legs/athletic/gymnastic abilities while Batman combines all forms of martial arts like jujitsu, ninjutsu, judo etc or good old vale tudo.
@DemonicGemini he's gone missing after the events of Arkham Asylum, there is a possibility that Killer Croc ate him o_O but you can find his mask in Arkham City...
@winduistheman Ok I got Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain mixed up. First let me say thank you for clearing that up. But dude, "The Killing Joke" is one of the graphic novels I own. I even said 2nd batgirl. Implying I know about the 1st. When you go into the museum, and save the cops in Arkham City, and one said, "we do this by the book. It's what Gordon would want." I, literally, paused for a moment. I appreciate the correction, though

watched this more then once.
The Robin in this game is indeed Tim Drake (seeing as the joker calls out how he killed robin in the challenge maps) but, there is a 'red robin' skin that is more like Jason Todd, sicne he was indeed the FIRST Red Robin (tim grabbed the title afterwards) and i think that the red robin skin has a more Jason Todd feel to it

All they need now is Batman Beyond. It doesn't have to make sense, just put him there. Then I'll be using Nightwing and Batman Beyond for most of the challenge maps!

Dick Grayson(Nightwing) was the first Robin. He then got sick of being the "boy wonder" and not seen as Batman's equal and he quit being Robin when he was like 20. He then took on the identity of Nightwing and fights crime in Gotham and surrounding cities. Now that he has established himself on his own, Batman now has his respect and trust as an equal to an extent. The Robin in AC is the third Robin(Tim Drake).

@winduistheman Stephanie Brown was Batgirl for a while after Cassandra Cain left. In the new 52 reboot though, Barbara Gordon is Batgirl again.
@politcalgamer Dude, you're not getting what I'm saying. She was in a wheelchair in the comics, and then she was healed in "The Death of Oracle." So the same thing could happen in the games.
I would love to see Nightwing in the game also! To me, I love the interaction between Batman and NIghtwing over Batman and Robin.
