I have to admit, the idea of making Hugo Strange a serious arch-villain and pulling it off is both hilarious and impressive.

A lot of them are former military so some of them might be special forces, so it makes sense they can put up more of a fight than common thugs

Welll they don’t want batman to hit records as a superhero. Thats why they show him as a side clown in every movie other than that of Nolan’s. The most important characteristic of batman that makes him badass superhero is ‘indifference’. This lacks in every new batman movie.

One of the best Superhero games ever made, I've replayed it so many times. In my opinion it's the best out of the Arkham series.
I love how this actually happened in the Arkham universe, you can find that guard in the processing centre and scan him to get a riddle, this CGI trailer is amazing!
At first, I thought that Hugo Strange was voiced by the legendary Christopher Lee (RIP) from this trailer. That is until Hugo Strange was 'actually' voiced by Corey Burton. The guy can really do a very good impersonation of Christopher Lee.
Burton voiced Count Dooku (Lee's character from Star Wars) in both Clone Wars shows and in several video games so he's gotten pretty good at imitating Lee's voice.
WHAT!!! I always thought Christopher Lee actually did the voice for Hugo strange this whole time. I was heart broken when CL died because he couldn’t reprise the Hugo role until I saw your comment. Man! I question a lot of games I’ve played over the years now.

Funny thing you can actually find that very Tyger guard that Hugo Strange tortured to death in the room where Hugo talks to Batman on that big monitor before you go to Wonder Tower. Finding him is a Riddler Challenge.
Arkham Knight's in-game graphics are now almost on par (if not on par) with this trailer's visual quality. Oh how far we've gotten in a span of a few years. :D

@@blakekeating6495 Arkham Knight still looks pretty good on consoles, obviously it can't compare to PC but compared with old gen consoles it looks pretty impressive and could look even on par with PC if they took the right team to remaster it. Although now that seems unlikely with WB Games's future still uncertain...

For nostalgic reasons, I'm going back and watching the trailers of the Arkham games that I still play to this day. Wow these games are still so good and they feel like movies with how good they were made, masterpieces really! Arkham City is also my favorite and most played of the games.

Animations very fluid and action is paced well. A fully functioning city I know is the idea of this game, which looks spectacular with the design presented. This game looks like a big and great release.

this style of fighting scenes is the one that needed in batman movies.. the batfleck one is cool but there's still some shootings, explosive, and stabbing that results death..

Arguably still one of THE best sequels in videogame history. Other contestants to this title are God of War 2, Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 2, and Assassin's Creed 2.
Why can't they just make movies like this
cause present day hollywood only caters to whims of the mass demographic of people who know nothing of good entertainment and prefer a casual walk through experience over in depth plot and lore based synopsis.Ironically and tragically, it's more due to a lack of comprehension on the audiences part...Hollywood just dumbs down stuff and adds gritty filters to cloak it under maturity and realism...when really it's just us getting dumber

The Arkham series is simply the best thing to happen to a games based on a comic books.
Kevin Conroy has been the voice of Batman and Mark Hamill the voice of Joker in the animated series, but has Corey Burton as well given his voice to Professor Hugo Strange in some animated version or just in Arkham City?
Just Arkham City. He has however been a part of the DCAU. His more notable role was in Superman the animated series and Justice League as Brainiac.
In The Animated Series, his voice was much higher, and not all like this. I actually think the game has a better voice actor. Hugo only showed up once in the Animated Series anyway.

The voice I'm talking about is from Batman: Gotham Knight (2008). It was an animation, and I was surprised to see the same voice actor as Hugo Strange from the Arkham game series as Jonathan! Have you seen the animation? It features Killer Croc, too!
Plot : Hugo sent Tyger operatives to capture Bruce Wayne but failed in first attempt. The captain got interrogated and revealed the sender. Lost his his life.
Later in a press conference they got Bruce Wayne captured.
Thats why strange said : Capturing Bruce Wayne was much more easier than Batman.
This animated scene is just wonderful, i wonder when will they create this kind of movie for Batman, it will be better than all of Batman Movies. Arkham Series is just outstanding.

A crazy detail, you can actually find this dead guard as one Nygma's riddles near the end of the game
So this explains the dead TYGER operative in the Arkham City entrance area you return to near the end of the story.
You can find that TYGER op that Strange killed when you re enter Wonder City in one of the rooms of the exit, pretty cool detail

I love this game, but I feel they really underutilized Hugo Strange as the main enemy. He seemed like a cool villain, but then ends up not really showing up all that much.

Also this wasn't filmed in game, it is a video made most likely in an animating program. The same applies to the Arkham Knight trailer.

Well tbf the setting here is at night - - it’s easier to hide CG flaws at night - Suicide Squad was in the day and Gotham Knights looked okay but at the same time trash.. but yeah this looks way better.
They shouldve kept with Hugo Strange as the primary antagonist. That wouldve gave hom the best redemption ever (as in popularity wise)

The chilling thing about Strange is that he and Batman aren't really that different: Both desire to understand the minds of criminals and are mentally affected due to their careers. What sets them apart is that Hugo Strange is an amoral sociopath seeking to benefit himself.
