And try making them next time with 3 or 4 jalapeños. Add about 30 mis before they are done. Just take them out before you feed them to everybody.... I saw the hot sauce. Them jalapeños in there will change your life. Lol

You can do it too. Try it with one bunch of collards. That will be enough for you. You can use smoke turkey, smoke turkey necks, or smoke turkey tails. Season the meat like he did. You can also add chopped onions and chopped garlic. Very baby go do it.

I remember growing up everyone in my family cooked their greens in some sort of smoked pork meat. Seems that once I got older, most people I knew ate less pork. So when I finally decided to cook greens, I cooked them in smoked turkey and they tasted amazing! So, one day I cooked some for a dinner and gave my grandmother a taste while they were nearing the end of the cook. She told me that my greens were dry due to turkey meat not having a lot of fat and instructed me to add a little veg. oil into them. Can you say it was a game changer. The oil made the texture amazing!! That was over 15 years ago and I have used a little oil with my greens ever since. RIP Granny.

Smoked turkey tails are better. The meat has fat in it and tastes similarly to pork. When they fall apart just remove the gristle.

it’s the fact that he did it old school 😩 i don’t
know anybody that buys fresh collards, roll em up & cut them up anymore. everybody buys them already bagged & cut up now. he’s definitely gained a new fan out of me 🫶🏽

And some banana pepper cornbread. Just put the greens over it. I gotta make a pot of greens now. I’m going to plate it over mashed turnips. With the cornbread.
    That’s a beautiful dish, chef. 🙂

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 not bae leaves and extra seasonings.... 😂😂😂 I can barely catch my breath.. Awwww, oh bless your heart... Long as you didn't put southern on here we're good. Because ain't no way in the absolute hell we use that shit in greens😂 looks fun tho.... Lol bay leaves..... It's a few that use turkey but we use neckbones or hammocks. Turkey when u can't find nothing else and throw in a lil okra when u get close to done onions are optional 😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭.... Fuckin bay leaves, how cute lol I'm tickled pink
