I don’t no about you but parts of this place was like a movie set. I don’t think I have ever been on a workplace so gigantic in all my life. Good too see though it still holding on with the rail contracts it has
Love the torpodoe wagons. Used to drive the hot metal trains at the River Don Works Sheffield in the late 1970's. Visited Scunthorpe Works during that period too.
You will absolute love it. Out off all we have done along the way of rail I think this is something else. Especially when you get up on the huge gantry it’s like a film set
Thanks
Nice to see the big Hunslets still working.
When we did this tour, No1 Janus was just been brought in from the strapline.
Nice to see it working now.

It’s like a film set in some areas. Did you enjoy your time working there back in the 70s. Shefield I think produced stainless steel.
Fascinating, thank you!
Your welcome

Massive and well worth a tour
A brilliant day and over 4 hours of rail travel. Will definitely do it again.

How sad and we let the world provide us with inferior steel
British steel was amongst some of the best in the world.
