James McCaffery the voice and likeness of the iconic video game character Max Payne has passed away today at the age of 65. The Fall of Max Payne comes from a long battle with cancer. From losing his wife and child, being part of the NYPD and fighting crime and waves of mobsters, Max is now reunited with his wife and child... I grew up playing Max Payne and was a fan of the Max Payne series before I was a fan of GTA or even knew who Rockstar Games was. To hear about the passing of James is very sad, but it brought about so many warm memories from my early childhood and the early days of my love for video games. James captured the role of Max Payne with sheer perfection. Join me today as I reflect on one of the best video game characters ever. RIP James McCaffery. Thank you for Max.
