  • I'm slowing chipping away at finishing the inside. This is the status of my building 3 years after it was built. Granted, the 2020 pandemic didn't help move this project along and now the bubble in material costs but here is how far I've gotten. Most of this straight forward but there are a few things I've learned so I throw a few tips in.

I am in the planning process as we speak of having a Morton installed 40x36 I watched all 3 of your building videos and I have to say you give me a lot to think about. Especially the utility's and I agree the costs add up fast. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and educate us on the process, well done.

Nice work! I know all too well how a project like this goes when your limited by finances. I had to make some decisions on my shop that ended up making for more work on my end in the long run. At least you are making progress. Not all progress has big dramatic results like the structure stage does.

Thanks! Biggest issue most places is the land. Stand alone I could guess upwards of 150-200 with land. Future ideas…

Hi I know that this is slightly off topic but your idea of getting drone footage of your utility runs were perfect I have a question about the drone footage are you able to get more info about the particular drone that was used . The footage was crisp and clear. I would definitely be interested in getting that model .

I know it was made by DJI but I'm not sure of the model. An earlier version of either the Mini or Mavic.

If the water daylights via the cleanout, why not just leave it as is?

Before the building was built I would have had the concrete and everything ran out to it in the beginning then just have the building built have everything run and call it A-day so you would not have to cut into your fresh concrete or anything like that because I would have heated floors and that would have to be in before the concrete Please comment back if you feel the same if I'm gonna dig up my if I'm going to dig up my property I am going to have a machine there you have a machine there once to do everything If I do not have the money to do that 1st I would never order the building I would have the foundation and everything ran out to the Concrete 1st that is your main thing Yeah why cut up a nice concrete slab for afterthoughts thank you You did good with the building and everything but you should and everything but you should have had everything ran out there 1st is there 1st and have it tubed and capped off it's apt off high enough where the concrete would not have is the concrete would not affect it and then you could always open it up afterwards

A big factor for me was cost. Delaying the rest of the utilities until later spread out the cost. If you have the means then yes, laying that ground work before concrete is poured would be nice. I'm not too worried about the chopped up concrete. The 2 holes are in non-load bearing parts of the floor so once they are filled in with concrete it should be good for the long term.
