Great video Justin, that was cool of Rusty to help you out like that.Is this the first stub shaft you have broke on this rig? Those stock shafts are at their limit running 35"s......
That's the first one I've broken. I maintenance it pretty regularly and had to replace it awhile back. Nothing I hate more than to break down and spend time in the trail fixing it when I could be wheeling.
Nice informative video. Just a couple observations I made... 1: If your jack failed, could have been bad, you had no protection from that. 2: No torquing the bolts ? especially the axle nut.. 3: No safety eyeware when using air ratchet.. Better to be safe than sorry. Im not criticizing, just trying to help.
From someone who has had both hand operated on for carpal tunnel from hitting tools with the palm of both hands. Bro save yourself the pain and money. Use a hammer. But great vid bro.
Hey man! I wanna get a XJ as my first car, and these tutorials are great as well as your commentary.
I need more!
Ha, I'm waiting on stuff to do to it!! I got some things in mind that aren't too far off. thanks for the support!
I had a U-joint do the same thing to my axle shaft. They want a small fortune for a new one! I found out you can get a ZJ CV axle much cheaper.
