Very clever, you gave me idea how to reuse those 12v batteries.

Ive been using the HME battery box with solar panel for many years. They definitely work very well. I have left cameras out more than a year and they still run the camera with no problems. If you buy a couple of packs of lithium batteries, you have pretty much matched the cost of one of these setups.

How long do they work for you?

@@ReviewThisThing I can get several months depending on pic frequency and how often reported…. Tend to set them up and forget them since I don’t worry as much about batteries

That shouldn’t take long to pay for itself in battery savings. Thanks for sharing, be well my friends.

I have the same camera as y’all. I built my own battery box and ran a 12v and lithium in the camera. I did not have a solar panel charging the 12v and it lasted 10 months. I averaged about 20 pics a day.
