- This is the first piece of writing that I have ever published, and to be honest I never imagined that this day would come. Creating a video around my words was way harder than I expected but at the end of the day, it was kinda fun. For this project, I teamed up with LO.OSE, the musicians of this video. When the production started the poem wasn't ready so I told them that this will be a video about "modern distance relationships" and to this day I'm amazed at how they managed to capture exactly the feeling that I was aiming for. I'm also really grateful for the collaboration with Iness, the narrator of the video, who added so much depth in each sentence. I hope you like our final result.

A half-empty bed and gentle touches on a bright glass hoping my touch could be felt through it
how was your day?
did we accidentally eat the same food?
Is your dog beside you right now?
I think I fell in love with a stranger that kind of looked like you today but something doesn't feel right
These screens may carry our whispers but they cannot feel what it means to be present and absent at the same time.
These keyboards may translate soft taps into words but they will never feel what it means to be truly untouched
Information streams may carry invisible data but they will never experience the blood in our veins that rushes to our cheeks and makes them blush.
I'm haunting the cage of my existence
and you are unable to cast a shadow here
I told you "promises are pointless" but I lied
So when the soundwaves of our voices meet in the same room
When we cast a shadow under the same sun
When the word "distance" in the term "distance relationship" becomes obsolete

None of the poems you have put on this channel have hit me personally harder than this. Im in an online relationship now and every word of this poem reflects what it is like to feel so close to someone but be so far apart, a mixture of happiness and loneliness and the sorrow that comes with the combination of those feelings
