Interesting to see some other comparisons of UOA where the PUP maintained it's viscosity a bit better that SS. Doesn't seem to necessarily be a clear winner for overall performance but I would think SS should be better if cost is no problem. If for some reason you were going for long OCIs than SS would be the best bet, but if you're doing something more reasonable like 5k/6mo or shorter then I feel like PUP for price is really hard to beat because it does such a good job.
hello .. in a similar video of yours.. you said : about Calcium (additive) its better to have a higher # for NON TURBO engines.. can you please elaborate more on the subject .. thank you very much .. im a big fan 😊
@@impalalfx1349 Yes, one of the differences between PUP and PP is the PUP does have boron. And that's why PUP is more expensive. Boron itself is quite expensive component that significantly improves engine operating properties. Personally I would not purchase oil without Boron in it.
@@impalalfx1349 completely agree. Just seems like a BIG warranty to put out there. No oil company I have heard of (including AMS) has that kind of stated warranty
Oxidation value has nothing to do with tbn. Watch lake speed jr videos and you’d see. Plus buying his oil analysis I’m surprised you don’t watch his videos. Oxidation value is determined to help indicate the base oils used. It’s better to use a ftir scan to really see which you would also see in his videos. There’s also a lot of different types of additives. Amsoil is a much better product than off the shelf oils. Same as driven, high performance lubricants, redline, and motul, all leagues above anything off the shelf. Look up the motor oil geek on here and you’ll see.

Too much calcium can cause LSPI, very potential danger on a turbo car

Current pennzoil platinum SP does not have any Boron... are you sure you get the report right?
Yes, that was on the report. The Ultra always did have boron, that's the main reason I use the Ultra and or the Signature Series
True! Penz Plat does not contain Boron!
@@nicholaspetre1 but the Ultra one does

What are your thoughts on PUP warranty of 20years or 750,000 miles? Does any other oil company have anything that compares with that?
From where I live, anything over 250 000 miles will be completely rusted out. Winter season and the heavy use of road salt will eat away the car.
