- The OBB 4024 Talent 1 is now available to cruise through Austria in Train Sim World 4 and I will give you a quick run through setting up and driving with safety systems.
Disclosure: I got this DLC for free. I am not paid or directed to produce content. All opinions are my own.
Very useful one! I am struggling on how to start again after an emergency break
Hopefully I covered that in the tutorial?I usually do.
Yes please I am blocked after an emergency break :( I do not know the procedure @@trainsimulatordriver
@@TheTinyCats isn't it in this tutorial?
@@trainsimulatordriver When ? I watched the video again but I do not see the procedure after an emergency break. I still blocked
@@TheTinyCats ok I'll have to take a look, I normally include it as part of the script. How did you get into emergency, was it a safety system, an emergency button in the cab or you did it with the brake ?
A demo of cruise control would have been nice. I’m not convinced it works, but I’m probably doing it wrong, too used to AFB.
I will look into doing one specific for that.
Hello! I have a question that I don't find it on the internet... Why there are no rear view mirrors for the trains? or rear view electronic cameras like it supposed to have the OBB? How am I supposed to see without going to 3rd view? Thanks!
They have them but they are not active. Unreal isn't good with mirrors. You'll find them to be common in games built on Unity but not Unreal. It can be done in Unreal but the performance hit is so high that a game full of trains with mirrors would likely kill it on Gen 8 consoles and potato PC's.
What % of throttle would you pull off from the platform in? and at what speeds would you increase?
E.g pull off in 50% till 20kmh, then 100% onwards?
How is it done?
There's no specific percentage as it depends on company rules and track conditions. It's also different between commuter (light trains usually in a hurry to meet a tight time table) and freight (slower, heavier and more concerned about stress on the vehicles and couplers). On all trains you generally start out gently to stretch the train out and keep it comfortable for your passengers or cargo. On a passenger train you'll get to full power fairly quickly being mindful of track conditions and the train handling. On freight you'll power up through the settings a little at a time slowly over many minutes.
for the Talent, you need to be above 20% to start and should keep it under 30% until the brake cylinders are empty (yellow light goes off) then you can open up as you want
Hi, can you make a tutorial on how to do the REX1 (5566) service from Feldkirch? the diver assistent says: "raise the pantograph" but there is no overhead line
oh dear, that sounds like a bug - either the train in that service is spawned onto a track without overhead or its invisible (sometimes is in TSW for no good reason).
I tried it and it starts in the station under wires. Do you by any chance mean the setup service before it?
@@trainsimulatordriver I tried to do the service again 4 times but the spawn track is the same, without an overhead line and consequently it doesn't let me raise the pantograph. Should i try to install again the dcl?
@@matt.eo1210 are you on PC or console? Are you doing the main service or one of the zero length services?
@@trainsimulatordriver I'm from Xbox One, the service is an 00:00 length. I also tried installing the DCL again but nothing changed
How to enable the cruise system of this train? I can enable the system through CTRL + R but I cant set the speed limit of it🤕
I'll have to figure that out and come back to you. I don't know that one.
@@trainsimulatordriver I have just figured it out. Other trains which have cruise system mostly can adjust the speed limit by using the shortcut keys which are R to increase speed limit and F to decrease it. However, the OBB 4024 need to adjust it by hit the button where below the right screen. It is rather strange that why dovetail didn't bind keys for them.
@@skymkmk You can actually use r and f to increase and decrease speed. So the procedure is to apply like 50% power or higher (don't know exact value), turn on cruise control and press, not hold, r and f to adjust the set speed. However, if you decrease the power in any way, you get traction locked and have to reset everything. You can only increase power or use r and f to control
@@skymkmk ah ok, that's good to know. I'll definitely pass that back in because they've got an accessibility push on for PC and everything should be bound to keys to make the game available to as many people as possible. Thanks heaps for figuring it out.
I never use sifa or any systems..They are loud and stopping the train without any reason...
Loud yes, but they stop the train because the driver hasn't done the right thing. It's fine to play it like a game and just drive and ignore all the operating rules and conditions but if you want to run it like a simulator then you need safety systems and you need to learn what they're telling you.
@@trainsimulatordriver Yes, but example..I tried to drive Class-66 old diesel train with TPWS (Or something like this??) system on and it just stops without any reason...What I did wrong then? Do I have to do something else than drive under the speed limit?
@@Marzeone091 yes you need to acknowledge adverse signals and speed limit changes where the speed limit is going down. Look in my tutorials playlist (either TSW4 or 3 they work the same way)
@@trainsimulatordriver So even if I slowing down before the speed limit it's not enough..?
Playing on xbox, cant seem to find the correct acknowledge buttons, and there are none mapped. I found the release. But i cant get very far, train locks up.
It should be B on Xbox to acknowledge sifa, pzb and lzb-ende. It's slow to react and if you've got both sifa and pzb at the same time you need to press it twice
B doesn't seem to work, however I noticed the popup referenced a pedal... haha.. there's a big white pedal that blends in very well. Pressing that pedal at the acknowledge points seems to work. Lots to learn haha. Appreciate the response 👍
@@brentonsgames B should press that peddle. Pzb acknowledge is the right one one on the set of three pzb switches. Release is the middle one.
Please what is the keyboard control to aknowledge the sifa ?
Q key should do it
thank you very much😃
Do you notice the border between Germany 🇩🇪 and Austria 🇦🇹?
Not really no
Looks like TSW3. With more stuttering/freeze frames. What justifies a new game release, aside from their greed? Then a handful of bugfixes and tons of DLC's and next year TSW5?
Stuttering is actually much better in the public build after the first run through. This is a preview build with logging that slows everything down. Three routes for the price of one is good enough for a core release isn't it. On the other hand you can continue to flog your dead horse if you want. She ain't gonna get up and pull your wagon.
@@trainsimulatordriver no it's not good enough if nothing really changes, not even the graphics.
@@Duke49th you're welcome to your opinion, the list of changes is quite extensive
Still having the flue, you poor man? Unfair timing 😞
I'll slowly getting better. Thanks for saying! 😁
