  • Today I'm sharing two grocery hauls. One from Walmart and the other from Target. This is a pretty average amount of groceries for one week for our family of six. We try to eat healthy balanced meals and also eat a lot of gluten free items.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22
“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 89:1
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Do you do your grocery shopping all at one store or do you shop at multiple places? 💁🏼‍♀️

The bulk comes from Aldi, but I also do walmart and occasionally sam's.

I shop at multiple stores. I try not to go to more than two different stores per week.

I love your grocery hauls-I feel like they show a simple way to have the whole family eat a clean yet delicious variety of meals. 💜

Thanks so much! We definitely enjoy a little treat now and again, but do try to eat healthy the majority of the time. 🤗👍🏻

Very healthy it almost sounds like a paleo diet shopping list I’m glad you and your kids eat dairy free and gluten and grain free and eat organic I’ve been hearing how grains and dairy aren’t really good for us and I plan to make some herbs and plants as a mini garden like basil cilantro carrots celery tomatoes

It’s been working well for us and we don’t feel like we’re missing out since there are so many substitutions on the market. Hope you enjoy your little garden. It sounds super nice! 🤗👏🏻

Your walmart has a great organic selection.

They really have expended it over the last few years and the prices are still low which is great.

We struggle to find organic at ours maybe it's the area

That’s a bummer, it could be different depending on the demand in that area. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My daughter loves cinnamon on her applesauce too! Where did you get your toddler stool? My husband made one for Anna when she was little but she has outgrown it now

We have the “Little Partners” brand tower. It was a gift from my Dad when my older son was a toddler and we’ve used it so much! 🤗 amzn.to/3dFhKwz

Does anyone in your family have a gluten allergy or you just do gluten free for other reasons?

Hey Kara! No diagnosed allergies, but several years back we had a horrific stomach bug and ended up needing to do a “low fodmap” diet while the kids guts healed. (Dairy, gluten, and legumes were all foods that would lead to more vomiting) During that time we noticed a huge improvement in digestion (less constipation). I also noticed less brain fog and moodiness for myself. So although we’re all healed from that terrible flu, we choose to stay gf/df because we feel better that way. 🤗
