“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22
“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 89:1
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Bubble wrap may help us as we have valuables we will need to transport!!! We are using air cargo and spoke to the airline and been told that we can use totes for that so we’ve grabbed some ready!!! These are handy as we are moving to the over side of the world!!!

Packers have to pack a certain way to pack your HHG in to creates if it’s a code 4 I would leave it to the professionals. Totes are awesome. And if you have a sub contractor doing the pack they need to see any broken items before being packed. So I wouldn’t recommend wrapping or packing anything. Because it needs to be written down so you don’t file a false claim. It’s illegal to lie on gov docs 😊

Unfortunately in military circles, the “professionals” do a terrible job. Our movers didn’t have any issues with the prep work that I did. In fact they were appreciative that everything was well organized. When we got our shipments delivered we only had one tote that got busted, so we were very fortunate. To each their own, but being in multiple military PSC Facebook groups I’ve read all the horror stories and I wanted the best outcome for my family. 🤗

@@CalledtoCultivate 🙏🏻🙏🏻…also this may be sound out of ordinary, do you tip the movers or not or something?

You do not need to tip. Some people provide food and or drinks, but that is also not required. We chose to have cold bottles of water on hand and some granola bars to offer our movers.

What's the cheapest way to move about 10 big boxes with a small night stand from Louisiana to California?

Hello! Does the military movers ship pantry items, such as spices, flour, soy sauce?

For CONUS moves they will typically move unopened shelf stable items. For OCONUS they are more strict since your items may be in transit for a few months. (You don’t want bugs, mold, or rats) We were still able to have them move canned goods or items in glass jars. I did a lot of prepacking myself before the movers arrived and bubble wrapped items I didn’t want to break. I utilized a lot of plastic totes to prepack my pantry. They didn’t have a problem with that. They checked it for their inventory, wrapped it in brown paper, and loaded it into our crates. Other pantry items like flour, spices, snack foods we brought with us in our luggage.

Yes you can pack your pantry and spices. I've done 2 oconus moves from Japan and Germany . I had 0 issues!
