Here in west central Texas, we have been roasting over 100 degrees for weeks now, with several 108-110. Everything is burnt, and plenty of wildfires. We need rain, rain, and more rain
SE Central Texas feels like the start of fall right now. I was able to go outside for the first time in weeks, went fishing and enjoyed things until about noon when I was reminded it's still hot outside 😅
I don’t know how you folks do it, I moved out of Wisconsin 35 years ago because it was too hot during the summer, and too cold during the winter , and Have been enjoying great weather ever since. . When I lived in Wisconsin, I figured there were only 30 days a year that were great. And I mean, 70° with low humidity that was not enough for me
@@POWPonderonWeathermelons are desert plants. Ive been growing melons and watermelons no watering here in the estate. Just covered the while ground in tree trimming servuce woodchips as a mulch and nithing but local rainfall in nectx.
Living at 8400 feet elevation in Colorado I have seen snow before Labor Day! I love watching the seasonal forecasts, but they are rarely accurate. You do a pretty good job on the weekly forecast POW! I remember a few years ago the NWS said that my area would remain in drought until the monsoons in July during a forecast that was made in February of the same year. Instead of drought I got 119 inches of snow after March 1st and tons of rain in June that year! I love the saying that the jet stream is like a river with no banks, it can change in an instance.
Living at 8,400 you can have completely different weather than those at a normal elevation. It will always be like that. T In the Winter at times its snowing in Dallas at 8,400 feet, but nobody lives up there. It's 700 feet and dry as a bone.
I understand. I live in the Western part of the State of Virginia, and we've had a rather severe drought, for about 2 months, at the very least! We've had some beneficial rains recently, though, so it helps. I hope our respective droughts break soon! I wish you the best.
After a couple days of normal weather it's now very hot and extremely humid in Springfield Missouri again. I say, good bye to summer - hate the extreme heat & humidity.
Man..... there's nothing "Peculiar" about this weather pattern. This is a prime example, of the forces of Nature at work. And-Who guides the forces of Nature? God does!!!
Live in Kansas. This morning we had a heat burst. At 7:30, was 80*. By 8 was 90*. Stormed like crazy, with really bad lightning for an hour. Then cleared up and now is 100* and HUMID!!! Gotta love Kansas weather!!!
WOW you actually talk about Colorado and New Mexico..all the other RUclipsr weather casters totally ignore the Rockies as if they don't egsist every time no matter what... Bazar....
Hot and humid this week because Tigers return home. It always has be hot at Comerica Park for games. Just the way Chris Ilitch likes it. Weather modification, chemtrails and geoengineering.
Good Sunday evening to y'all to have a fantastic evening to everyone this evening to you to I'm so sore My legs are sore My arms are sore ☀️🌞✌️💕💓🌷😊🌹☺️👫😃😎😌😔🪻❤️🦋🤘🤟💪🦶 on August 25

Wrapping up summer with home grown canteloupe... lovely summer we had in Maine, was perfect for melons. Thanks for keeping us all in the-know POW!!!!!
Love me some canteloupe. I really couldn't get melons to grow here. It's too hot, but people have been able to do it with tons of water.
Hello 😊 I hope you’ve been well ! I wish I lived up north - sounds so lovely 🥰 Have a wonderful afternoon
I love me some Cantaloupe! Haven't eaten any in awhile...but, thanks to you mentioning it, I'll have to get me some Cantaloupe at the Grocery Store!

You're like me. I never put any faith in those insipid long-range seasonal forecasts, as they truly can be inaccurate.
