Cold and snowy in most of Wisconsin is overall pretty rare during the La Nina years. El Ninos are warm, La Nino's are also typically above average with little snow. We'll see, I can only hope for more of a real winter this year!

I'm expecting a colder and snowier Winter for Central Illinois this year. There will be a couple periods of warmer temperatures and rain/ice, especially early in the Winter, and then again late in the Winter. But overall, a colder and snowier Winter is expected.
Hey Hunter! Hoping this plays out for northeast Ohio, these last few winters In northern Ohio have sucked with very warm temperatures, and ultimately no snow
We'll be closer to Neutral or in a weak La Nina this Winter season. That hasn't happened in quite a few years since we've been in so many strong La Nina's. This should mean more snow and colder weather for Ohio this Winter season.
I live in NW Ohio and yes we had a couple of mild winters. Local meteorologist been saying (Toledo) it should be a more of a winter this year. Although, Decembers have been warmer than normal in recent years due to climate change. Falls seem to linger longer and Spring weather seems to be pushed back. So we will probably not see the worst of winter hit until the beginning of January and February being brutal. I personally hate snow and cold. Driving on snow and ice with all those impatient drivers is awful anymore and I hate shoveling snow, having to get out of the driveway after snowstorms suck just to get to work. I will take this hot summer weather any day!
We got two feet of snow in south central Pennsylvania on Christmas Eve of 2009. According to this guy, we didn’t get anything at all. Definitely wouldn’t hang my hat on this at all.
A weak La Nina would favor above-normal temperatures and dry conditions this Winter across North Texas. With that said, there will certainly be times of cooler temperatures and there will be periods of precipitation. But overall, I'm expecting a warmer and drier Winter across North Texas this year.
I'll take average for NJ, whatever that is anymore. A couple of snows. I miss the big snowstorms, but I know they will be back, but we've been starved of snow.
Remember Christmas in 2009? That was my father's last Christmas with us. He passed away in January 2010. I had hoped for many years that he would have at least one White Christmas while he was still with us. About 5 days before Christmas in 2009, a massive snowstorm dumped nearly 2 feet of snow across the state, much of which remained through Christmas Day. I am forever thankful to our Heavenly Father for that special Christmas gift, especially for all NJ residents who got a very rare White Christmas.
Worry about snow? We learned to love snow by dressing right and good snow equipment. For the last couple of years no sleigh rides, no ice sculptures, no snow mobiling, no ice fishing, no snow men, no sledding, no nothing. We want snow. It's the Water Winter state. Don't worry dress warm and have a snow ball.
Sounds about right for us in Albuquerque New Mexico. We had a very HOT Summer. We did have some good Monsoon Rains but we've been in a dry spell for over 1 month now! I expect much of our current conditions (dry) to linger on into the 2024-2025 Winter Season, unfortunately...
Average in Massachusetts is nothing to sneeze at. Bostons average snowfall is just under 50 inches. Worcesters is around 55-60 however the last 2 years have been snow droughts for these areas. Especially Eastern Mass.
Keep in mind, every La Nina is different. The past several La Nina's have been strong La Nina's. This Winter looks completely different with Neutral to weak La Nina conditions expected. This means more cold and snow for the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, and Ohio Valley.

Excellent presentation my friend!
Thank you!
Here in Virginia we haven’t had any snow at all in 2 years. I’d like to see a foot of snow this year.
Thank you. I wish you would have included South Carolina.
I’m not happy to hear about a warm winter in FL. We’ve had record breaking temps all week! I just want Dec-March to be in the 70’s.
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️👍💯💕 love it!
I drove late on Dec 26th to San Antonio from Chicago with that blizzard on my heels!
If we can at least get a normal winter, then I will be satisfied.
My ideal scenario in northern Illinois - cold, snowy December 1 - March 1, then above average temps
Sounds reasonable. December’s lately have been warmer than normal too.
I’m glad I live in the southeast. I don’t have to worry about snow. It’s just a question of how often I will need to bring my winter coat.
I hope Pearland Tx get a longer winter this year and actually feel and see the changes of the seasons like a longer fall as well
Haven't seen a good snow in Phoenix Arizona since 1987 would like some snow this year.
Oh yes, I'm SO excited for winter! Love me good snowstorms! 🌨☃️ Christmas better be white for Ann Arbor this year! 🥹🫶🎄
Average in Massachusetts is nothing to sneeze at. Bostons average snowfall is just under 50 inches. Worcesters is around 55-60 however the last 2 years have been snow droughts for these areas. Especially Eastern Mass.
Thanks!!!
You’re welcome!
I remember La Niña very well where it hardly snowed here wanna say that occurred during the 2018 winter
Keep in mind, every La Nina is different. The past several La Nina's have been strong La Nina's. This Winter looks completely different with Neutral to weak La Nina conditions expected. This means more cold and snow for the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, and Ohio Valley.
@@WeatherOnTheGoForecasts okay
yay! cold & snowy
